Opportunity was alive and kicking when Curiosity landed. The video didn't claim that oppy is still working now, but that it WAS working at the time Curiosity touched down.
Anywhere from 4 to 20 minutes, depending on the position of the planets. Easy: if the delay is 4 minutes, you send the radio signal 4 minutes before you want the craft to respond. EDIT: Great question, by the way.
What if... we were the ancient inhabitants of Mars and we screwed it up and have to ditch it and moved to Earth? Gonna write my sci-fic now. Hahaha, btw, I'm teary eyed because of the names of the rovers. I mean naming them curiosity, opportunity, spirit, perseverance -- these are such human traits that you can connect with. I was 9 when NASA put men on the moon, but as a 9 year old you can't understand the effort involved to accomplish that. When NASA put this rover on the surface with a simple 30 step process :) I was amazed, and then last year when the JWST unfurled and set up in a simple 300 step process I was reminded once again of the talent that NASA possess. .... here's hoping that the Titan Octo-copter will fair just as well when it is it's turn to shine - and I'm sure it will.
I thought the deep ocean scared me the worst, then I saw that sunset, pictured myself there, and had existential crisis. The desert here at night is odd but...
This is amazing.
How beautiful it would be to watch a slowly flowing river over a waterfall on Mars.
Unknown Sector Probably not a meteor that caused anything to do with the water. It just slowly lost its atmosphere & the water evaporated. It’s kinda sad 😞
@GRAPHENE IS IN THE MASKS, SWABS and PCR TESTS!!! What then would you say causes water to drain a different direction as you cross the equator? This conspiracy you speak of would involve millions of people you do realize!?
I don’t understand. How does it take a complete selfie of itself? The camera is attached on a arm. If it has another camera that can extend like a selfie stick, you’d see the extended arm in the picture. Or am I missing something?
The way I remember learning. Thank you
“It looks almost like a fossilized skeleton; we name it: Garden City”
06:00 At the time of this video's release, BOTH Spirit and Opportunity were dead, Opportunity was not working nearby. Was this old video from elsewhere re-uploaded as your own content?
Opportunity was alive and kicking when Curiosity landed. The video didn't claim that oppy is still working now, but that it WAS working at the time Curiosity touched down.
@@melmao6531 who tf are you talking too? and tf are you on about a documentary and live stream for?
4:53 - HTML's greatest achievement.
😂
😂😂😂
Great discoveries
This is one of the best documentaries on mars
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS FACTUAL DOCUMENTARY
How can Mission Control control the landing of the unmanned craft in REAL-TIME when there is an approximately 20 minute delay in transmissions ???
Anywhere from 4 to 20 minutes, depending on the position of the planets. Easy: if the delay is 4 minutes, you send the radio signal 4 minutes before you want the craft to respond. EDIT: Great question, by the way.
The amount of people in the comments who believe this is all fake makes me disappointed and sad.
They all probably don't believe there is car or plane 😂😂😂😂
What if... we were the ancient inhabitants of Mars and we screwed it up and have to ditch it and moved to Earth? Gonna write my sci-fic now. Hahaha, btw, I'm teary eyed because of the names of the rovers. I mean naming them curiosity, opportunity, spirit, perseverance -- these are such human traits that you can connect with. Even though you are not part of the team who made them... you cant help but be emotionally invested on their journey.
Thank you God bless you from baby Jesus
This promises, too bad I won't be able to see it until the end.
Indeed. That really is a shame. You poor devil. You have my empathy. I think the same thing may happen to me.
Craters like Gof choba and Bonqole can be found in Marsabit County Kenya
If there was alien life on Mars when rover first landed, they be like 'hey what's that thing doing?
If the Mars Rover is filming Mars. Who is filming the Rover??? So its true, Gaddamn Cameraman really never dies!
INCREDIBLE!!! It will truly be the greatest feat of mankind, when humans can finally set foot on the Red Planet!!!!!
We have to get past low earth orbit first. I doubt if we can ever send people any farther. But yes humans on the red planet would be great!
@@melmao6531 We disagree. But there is one thing we both agree on. If no one has been farther than low earth orbit, no one has been on the moon. Its really not even arguable at this point. We are stuck in earth orbit.
@@melmao6531 Manned moon landing had to be faked. An advantage had to be perceived during the cold war. Just like the star wars program, which was mostly propaganda to make the Soviets spend money when they couldn't afford to. The United States out spent the Soviets and the wall came down. Its about time NASA fessed up but they are still milking the public for money. NASA is currently working very hard to invent the technology to send man beyond low earth orbit.
@@tmo4330And what colour is the sky in your world?
@@grahamwatson2031 LOL! You still think America sent men to the moon with our grandparents technology back in the 60's? Are you serious or being sarcastic?
