And exactly the kind of dirty double entendre the Bard would use. Besides the extraordinary improv, these guys clearly have insane classical training and deep familiarity of Shakespeare to not only mimic the style, candence and vocabulary of his works but to insert the kind of word play he used completely ON THE FLY. Serious hat tip.

My favorite part of this segment is that Count Chocula becomes a major character for the rest of the show.
This entire episode was insane. I couldn't write something like that will all the time in the world and these people just ad-lib it. Just mindblowing

Incredibly happy that improv overcame the want to win. The absolute king on the left set the others up for so many, getting no points for his efforts, and then left the scene early.

Everything about this episode was fantastic, but honestly, Blaine low-key stole the show by breaking the confines of iambic pentameter in two incredible ways:
1:19 's "Oooh, I wanna be CRUNCHED"
5:36 's "What'm I gon' do then??"
These are underrated, under-the-radar, Zac Oyama-esque deliveries, and, depending on who you talk to, are actual character development moments; if iambic pentameter is the stuffy, "proper" way to speak in a Shakespearean play, then these breaks can be seen as raw, unfiltered emotion turned to words, fitting of a young girl dealing with knowing she's going to be wed off to some ugly, boorish count, instead of sma -- sorry, _crunching_ a young Adonis

It wasn't iambic pentameter at any point... ain't no one can improvise that good it's an insanely restrictive way to write
I love how this is basically in line with the rowdy and bawdy spirit of shakespeare of yore. Back then the actors and audience just had fun with it and there was plenty of sex jokes and coy nods to the audience.

If you all haven't had the chance yet to see Improvised Shakespeare Company, absolutely find the time and money to go. They are absolutely too talented for words.

@@edenglass3098 Yeah, they are from the Improvised Shakespeare Company! I got the chance to see them in DC a few years ago, and it absolutely boggles my mind to this day how good they are!

Some of my favorite content are the videos I play on repeat to fall asleep. (I always watch new content fully awake, but use older videos to comfort myself into slumber) Marcel Vos' videos about RCT are my go to, his voice is so comforting

This is probably what it was like to see Shakespeare in the 1500's in terms of witty jokes that you could actually understand.

god this episode was just. magic. i love watching people be extremely competent at what they do for completely arbitrary points. and i think "oooh i wanna be crunched >:)" has rewired my brain
the fact that the character had to be called count chocula for the rest of the episode absolutely killed me lol
When I first heard "TO CRUNCH??" I lost my iced tea 🤣 If this doesn't warrant a dropout subscription then I don't know what will. Had mine for the longest 💜
When the prompt came, seeing the plot they had crafted until now, I thought they'd start with obvious and go with Lucky Charms right of the bat, but they kept finding incredible ways to cite obscure brands and then made a whole lampshade to hang the lucky charms in a trio. I can't believe how talented those guys are.
Always able to count on Ross to bring the most obscure or defunct brand names no matter what prompts are thrown at him
I’m gonna be honest, when I first saw that this was going to be an episode, I had my doubts on how good it would end up being.
Those doubts were pretty much instantly killed, and this is now one of my favorite episodes they’ve done. The ending is still one of the best things to happen in any Game Changer episode.
The wrap up song was just chef's kiss!
this episode was PERFECTION.
This episode was TOTAL genius
this is up there with Mountport as one of the best, most impressive episodes of Game Changer

This is one of my favorite episodes. There is a stupendous amount of improvisation flexing but they are just so good. The more Game Changer I watch the more I understand how Sam came to lead College Humor and Dropout to success. He has great ideas and surrounds himself with people who share his vision.
i'd already seen most of this from shorts but the entire thing is just... incredible. the buildup to the lucky charms bit had me holding my breath!
Since this episode takes the form of a play, I felt like TH-cam shorts don’t really do it justice. So I’m very glad that you guys uploaded a full scene.
This episode is my favorite so far and it definitely deserves to be watched by more people!
I love how in this episode they repeatedly set each other up for points.
I saw the improvised Shakespeare company live when I was in the United States, it was one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend
If you don't already have Dropout, get it. It's so worth it for the full episodes of Game Changer, not to mention other shows like Dimension 20 and Um, Actually.
Edit: Also, go see the Improv Shakespeare Company if you have the opportunity. Just saw them tonight and they were even better live.

This episode was incredible when I first saw it. I just saw them perform in NYC last night. Equally impressive to watch them perform in person the world premiere (and closing performance) of “The Marmaduke has No Bladder”
The best worst part about this is that this is closer to what shakespear intended than the way shakespear is being played these days.
If we played Shakespeare as intended Othello would be a 35 year old white man in blackface and Desdemona would be a prepubescent boy. Ahhh the classics

This is ridiculously good for being on the spot. Minus the slightly slower speech & words that aren't old English when they obviously should have been verses new English. It's seriously impressive. ON THE SPOT!

This is, without doubt, one of the most impressive things I have ever seen.
Once you get Honey Smacks from Count Chocula, your Life is nothing but the luckiest of Lucky Charms, the fruitiest of Fruity Pebbles, and the crunchiest of Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries.

I've literally watched this whole episode like four times. It's both very funny and very linguistically inspiring to me. I love Shakespear, though mostly the comedies. This to me has a lot of that.

This clip was the sole deciding factor to my decision to buy tickets to see them live next month. They are so hilarious.
Even more impressive than the improvised Shakespeare and added cereal names was that they were all able to do that without breaking down laughing. I'd have lost my mind if someone said any of this to me unexpectedly.

Pretty sure Karaoke night became a full on show in it's own right, called "play it by ear."
@@maledictionwolf play it by ear is a spinoff of 'official cast recording' where they all create a story together with prompts. karaoke night is them being given fake song names + a singer/musician and improvising a song based on it, using their knowledge of that artist's work. so both musical improv but very different concepts and execution. id love to see more karaoke night on game changer since we already have play it by ear!
