Gotta say- wasn't here 9 months ago but I'm here now. As an Orchestra student- there's always something behind music. There's always feelings and meaning to it. From certain words boiling down to the beat, tempo, and Rythm. I personally play my violin with great emotion and passion. I don't know why but it just feels /right/ If it's a sadder song, I reach down and try to convey that sadness. If it's a upbeat let's go happy song I switch to being happy and maybe even bounding a bit while playing. Cause posture is another thing- despite needing to sit up straight for orchestra; you can still let you body convey the emotion with the music.
