A block of homes in Wissinoming, Philly partially collapsed into the crick running under the whole street. I’m in S. Jersey now & get a pool in my basement when it rains. My friend’s mom in Wilmington has the same problem. Building on crick was a bad idea that every developer in the Delaware Valley had going back probably before we created the USA.
It's really weird that no one learned to weatherproof their basements. Reminds me of Louisiana's lack of flood and hurricane construction. Isn't it cheaper to do it right the first time?

Grief counselling through the Stephen Ministry at the Episcopal Church was very helpful, but my world was still completely turned upside down. I don't know if youtube will help much, but I wish you well on this difficult journey.
