- Hello and welcome to another Train Sim World 4 video!
In today's episode of Train Sim World 4 we're going to be driving a full run from Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside on the brand new Suffragette Line, more commonly known as the GOBLIN Line. I must admit I'm very impressed from the initial photos I've seen, so let's dive right in and see how we get on!
We're driving the Class 710 Aventra Electric Multiple Unit. I must admit when these first came out I thought they were hideously ugly, however I can't deny it's recreated beautifully in Train Sim World 4. They really have done a good job with the model, so hopefully the sounds and physics are decent too!

The freight depot in between Barking and Barking Riverside is Ripple Lane. Also, platforms 7&8 at Barking are used by C2C for services between Grays and Fenchurch Street, travelling on the up and down Tilbury.
The doors closing are because of the interlock thing irl where they timeout and close until someone clicks the button to open it again. However due to limitations of the game it also triggers the interlock which is something they are looking into to fix
Joe, doors lock automatically 90% of the time
They’re not meant to 😂
15:38 - The Line straight connects onto the Greater Angila line at Tottenham Hale
Joe, what football team do you support?
The emergency brake application at 39:45 isn't AWS, it's TPWS. The grids you can see on the track at 39:40 are an overspeed sensor (OSS), designed to stop trains travelling too fast (over 8mph) towards the buffer stop.
the name change is to help people know which line goes where, if it stayed as the overground on all boards where the underground lines meet up people wont know where the train goes, tho i agree they shouldve called it the goblin line
Also edit: the line that you called the west coast main line on the map is actually the east coast mainline
Yeah I messed up the mainline naming completely didn’t I, I truly have no idea what goes where haha!
I always think regarding line naming we’d be better off adopting a more European style which instead of names has numbers, similar to the buses 🤷🏻♂️
Great video!
The lines are only being renamed because the London elections are coming up, and the mayor wants to look good
Nice video Joe
Great video! I'd say the acceleration and braking of the unit is pretty realistic.
I think the automatic door interlockng is a definitely bug. All Overground routes are DOO. The doors do close themselves after about 30s in real life, but do not interlock and can be reopened by passengers.
7:02 yes, they extended it in 2022 to a new station in the Barking Riverside development
It would be interesting to see it extend to Thamesmead
@@spottymaxy1628omg I was watching Ur vid yesterday lol
Hello Joe, I got this Route on day 1 and it is absolutely gorgeous as you said in the video.:) lovely vid as always
Questions:
•will you live stream fife circle driving the 2 routes on the circle, or on 2 different videos (1 vid Edinburgh markinch, the other vid Glenrothes with Thornton Edinburgh?
•will you drive berninalinie?
•you did not keep your promise driving ts classic Birmingham - London before Christmas :)))))))))
The line you called the west coast is the east coast and the station you called finsbury Park is Haringay.
My favourite south totten-ham
I remember the days when this line used to have 150s and 172s.
I want to go on 150
It doesn’t seem that long ago does it really haha, what happened to the Class 172s do you know?
@@JoeDobsongaming They went to West Midlands Railway.
the london overground livery reminds me of the south west trains livery.
Just wondering how you got it to go into hundred yards after miles
Barking is beautiful I used to live there
Fantastic video Joe this route is stunning I have been driving up and down on it since it came out and I have to say its possible one of the best routes to come in tsw4 the attention to detail is amazing the train sounds very good 😁
Fantastic! I wasn’t expecting a lot with it being TSW4 but colour me impressed Imran! I’ve done many of the missions now haha
Doors auto lock after 45 secs. They are DOO in real life, but I Don know if they have the auto lock irl.
Joe is very happy today
Joe is happy isn’t he!
Would you recommend this?
The doors lock themselves after 45 seconds
That pop in of assets is prevelant across all games made with Unreal Engine and isn't exclusive to Dovetail Games. I hate it though with this route when the passenger doors close by themselves even with 1 minute 30sec to spare at stations. I don't think they close that early before departure, it says 30 sec on station billboards.
Do one to Liverpool Street
And u wer moving back at the stotion before south tothnamm😊
Soundd like the 1972 stock
I'm surprised DTG didn't give you a key? Strange.
Hello Joe, Another Fantastic video, much prefer The Goblin Line aswell, sounds much better
Will we be getting a TSW4 Live stream next week with the release of the Fife Circle Line
If so, For the love of god PLEASE LEARN HOW TO PRONOUNCE THE STATION NAMES PROPERLY 🙏 the amount of times I’ve heard people incorrectly pronounce the stations is ridiculous
Though always funny how people think they are pronounced 😂
Hi Thomas-James! There’s just something funny about goblins haha
There’ll definitely be content produced on the Fife Circle line but I highly doubt it’ll be a livestream. Unfortunately I’m still having technical issues with the PC affecting internet.
But rest assured there’ll be a video haha
@@JoeDobsongaming, all cool Joe!
The closing door button is actually inaccurate, that doesn't work irl
It does. I use overground irl and those buttons work
Alstom don't own Aventras
