It's a small chain restaurant. However, I want to give major props to the black bear diner in Madras, OR for defying lockdown orders (and the people supporting them). A large chunk of businesses in town closed down forever due to state gov oppression and never came back. Truly sad for those living there. But Black Bear stayed open despite the threats and fines. And the community supported them!
We were in Sedona, Arizona for my niece's wedding when I realized that I had not packed any undershirts, so the morning of the wedding, we had to drive down to Cottonwood, which is 20 miles Southwest of Sedona, in order to go to Walmart for the undershirts. While there, we stopped into The Black Bear Diner for breakfast. It was good and the service was nice. The funny part of this story is that I accidentally bought the wrong size t-shirts. They were for kids, so when I got back to Sedona and started to get dressed for the wedding, I realized that the t-shirt was for kids, so it didn't even cover my torso.
Oh, I had an undershirt, but it looked more like a mid-drift shirt like the girls wear, and with the wedding being outside, in February no less, my belly was cold. 😂
you guys should try the original Black Bear in Mt Shasta California,
We sure will try that location when we are in that area , thanks for the recommendation 😃
They have the fabulous five. Great video.

That’s a funny story but must have sucked still not having undershirts for the wedding. At least you got a good breakfast teehee

Black bear diner sucks. We had one for a short time in town. Terrible service, Terrible food.
The location we went to was great all round. Must be good and bad locations we guess but our first time in a black bear was top notch
I’ve eaten at this dump one time and it’s the worst food I’ve ever tasted for breakfast cheap!
Too bad, our experience was polar opposite , cheers
