- L’équipe de CHANNELNEWS s’est rendue à Plaine-Verte pour vous ramener des images fortes démontrant fraternité, piété, partage et solidarité qui caractérisent le mois sacré du Ramadan.
Vers 17 :30, on aperçoit jeunes, vieux et enfants qui se précipitent vers les marchands de gâteaux à la rue Ail Doré avant la rupture du jeûne. Les fidèles se sont déjà installés sur les nattes dans la mosquée Al Aqsa pour rompre le jeûne et pour accomplir le namaaz Mahgrib en congrégation.
Après la prière, une ambiance conviviale règne dans les rues. On a l’embarras de choix quant à la variété de la nourriture que les marchands proposent au public. Halim, Mine frite, boulettes, fruits confis, burger, tikka poulet et glace font le bonheur des petits et des grands.

It's good to see the social dynamics at Iftar time.
But let's not forget that the essence of Ramadan is fasting in order to attain Taqwah (piety ; be in Allah's obedience 24/7 ; avoid all Haram deeds & do as many Sunnahs in order to become closer to Allah [SWT]).
Unfortunately the clip portrays that the Ummah in Mauritius contemplate on " feasting" rather than fasting.......
May Allah (SWT) guide and bless the Ummah in Mauritius. Ameen.
Saheb but it is not prohibited to feast so long as they fast & doing what Allah command the Muslims to do. Food always bring joy.
@@zarabees2123 Salam Zara. We have lost our moral and spiritual compass as an Ummah.
The Prophet (SAW) had only dates and water to break their fast. Islam did not restrict us to only dates and water. But we have lost simplicity at the expense of spending hours in the kitchen. We focus on "feasting" rather than fasting. Our time in the last 10 days of Ramadan should focus on " Ibadaat" such as Taraweeh, reading, understanding and implementing the Surahs we've read. There's also Tahajjud ; making Duah that this month is an example to emulate throughout the year.
Please let's not become seasoned Muslims only in Ramadan.........
@@zarabees2123 Salam sister Zara....Unfortunately the Ummah in Mauritius is on a wrong path in most sphere of life.
Instead of being rated the Khair (Best), we have become the worst: Muslims unfortunately have a reputation for drug dealing, look at how many DJs with Muslim Names performing in night clubs, look at how the drug industry has infiltrated the very fabric (family) of our society.
Coincidentally, our Masajids are packed ONLY during the Ramadan. What about the rest of the year?
Again instead of worshipping Allah (SWT) we are worshipping a month.
Please do a simple survey amongst the Ummah there and find out how many really knows how to read the Quran with Tajweed and Tarteel?
Please go and see how there's discrimination from the Ummah in Mauritius towards other minorities.
Do you think Allah (SWT) will leave all the mega rich Muslim traders alone , when their neighbours are not being housed, fed properly and can never move socially in life....
Where are the big rich Muslim traders with Muslim names when there own brother was recently shown sleeping in a cemetery in Les Salines.........
Shame , shame, shame on this Ummah who is self centered and does not care about those who are less fortunate.......
May Allah (SWT) forgive us and bring us back to the Sirat Al Mustakim...Ameen....
Saheb everything you mentioned is indeed reality. Most people are very pious during this month then afterwards they go back to the old routine , they become immune to the suffering of others. They care more about their business.
