Really pleased that younger people are discovering the rover hopefully we can save them as a future classic like I said to you in the last video I've had mine a long time and never get tired of her and it's nice that people ask you about them when your out Rob
Good to hear you are still a big fan of the 75. To date ? A new battery ? Any, and I mean any car needs a new battery eventually. It will be good to see the finished project. Keep on doing the TH-cam reports. Long live the 75/zt 👍👍👍
It did get a new battery yes that's the only thing it's needed in my ownership, it should soon by nearly done I'll be posting a video of it sorting the rear light seals and a few more little problems I've got. I'll keep at it, thanks for your support :)
Hi love these rover 75's yes they do sometimes have rear light leaks, I work on these cars as also all the rovers from metros to 75's. the other leak area to check for is the rear chrome side trims inside the boot area, as I have found many times water leaking through and passed the fixing nuts, remove the trim clean the area behind the trim from dirt apply a small amount of clear silicone around the stud, this will seal around the mounting hole, apply again a small amount on the inside the boot before fixing back the fixing nut, this will sear both rear chrome trims, hope this helps. you have a lovely rover 75 there.
I'm definitely going to get a Rover 75, they are a bargain! Considered the 320d but the rover is so much more unique in many ways. I always thought they were unreliable, but research shows the 75's are great. Thanks for the video, hope you'll make more of the 75 in the future.
SimoneJStogrin The drop links and wishbones are fiddly Give yourself a full day if it you’re first time. Take lots of pics before during and after. For reference It will all pull itself together nicely when it’s refit . Then 4 wheel tracking done 🚦
If you haven't done so already, try cleaning the sunroof drain holes, the rear pipes often come adrift when full of crap and leak straight into to boot area. Great car, looking in very nice condition. Still love the look of these. I had one very similar: the75andztclub.co.uk/index.php?thepage=car_of_month_jan_15
Stick with it, you won't find similar luxury and comfort in a more modern newer car these days - I've owned 3 Rovers and my current 75 2.5 v6 has been a bit of a pain at times but I love it - just passed mot for another year - there is a owners club called 75 and zt owners which has proved to be invaluable the75andztclub.co.uk Cheers....
Agreed, I'll be sticking with it for the foreseeable future at least. I'm already a member, if youre not already and have Facebook I'd join the MG ZT and Rover 75 groups on there
These didn't sell well in Australia they were competing against the Japanese vehicles haven't seen one in a couple of years but l do remember one parked up in Moorebank N.S.W it had been there for a while its tires were flats out of rego spider webs and but it didn't move for years it actually did move the local council put a move or loose it and it did move to the front oc the owners house and l saw one sell at auction for aud $1000 in Australia thats what they are worth because most Australians like reliable vehicles especially Toyota's there are many 1998 to 2001 Australian built Toyota Camerys still been used as daily drivers many with P plates on them provisional licenses and now are been sold for aud $6000 l myself own a 1997 Toyota Hilux that has done 437000 kilometres that 5 years ago l paid aud $1500 but they sell upwards of and $5000 and you rarely see any 20 or 30 or even 40 year old British cars on the road l do occasionally see a Morris 1000 driving around but l haven't seen that Australians really love reliable vehicles that is why Toyota is number one for 25 years

The sunroof drain tubes can also become detached. Check out this forum: the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/

That fleece is a real belter, as is the 75
Snoopy!
I had a 3mm coach line painted under the chrome strip. M.
Nice car 😉 Last year I've bought the same but the 2.5 v6 and I adore it.
Like you said, it's the best car you can buy for a cheap price.
I want a KV6 equipped car really bad, I'm probably going to grab a MG ZS 180 when I get rid of my MGF
Where did you get the projector lamps?
Great update, have you had to do the droplinks yet? Mine were desperate. I still need to get the lower wishbone bushes.
Luckily an MOT or so ago the last owner had them done so and a few other common issues too.

@@rover9869 all done now thankfully. I have the mot soon and I'm getting new brakes all round tomorrow 👍
Dose anyone know what the fluid leak pipes are for on the underside of the Rover 75 ??
I think a minimalist looking CarPlay stereo could look pretty decent in there
It's more the fascia that's the problem with those
But I'll have a look it's all still undecided
@@tomdrives you can buy a D/Din fascia or a single DIN Alpine Halo spaced out.
Great stuff
Cheers 😊
