Just purchased the Airfoils Cessna 172 and can't get the GPS to follow the flight plan. Fairly simple process and no issues with the GPS with X-Plane's default 172. Please advise - thanks!
X-Plane 11 has a range of stock aircraft, including a basic Cessna 172. I would recommend using that and buying the Reality Expansion Pack for the plane to make it more realistic, rather than the AFL 172. Thank you for the tutorial. I'm wondering on your in home flight controls, as I have the Saitek throttle quadrant, and I cannot get my mixture switch to operate. I did go through the in plane controls and set, and when I move the mixture in and out I see that on the red bar in the settings, but it still doesn't move the one in the plane. Do any of the sim pilots know, or have an issue with this?

I think I've flown them all in my X-Plane videos. The heaviest are probably the Zibo 737 and the E170.

Have you set the CDI to GPS?
CDI set to GPS and autopilot set to NAV and I've even done a complete re-install of the Airfoils 172.
I have noticed issues with the AFL 172 and the B200 when using GPS, but they seem to be periodic.
Synch the directional gyro with the compass.

You may have to reinstall the aircraft.

It's the payware Airfoillabs Cessna 172.
This is preferred but they have a default stock 172
You can also now combine the stock 172 with a Reality Expansion Pack from SimCoders.
