No, you cannot make any realm a respite. Only the abeyance realms. If you place a cairn in another realm, the option to set it as respite is grayed out.
Yes you are correct, currently you can only place your respite realm in the abeyance realm although this was not always the case and it may also be changed in the future. The reason this was changed was that the sites of power only are available in the abayance realm but once they are all complete there may be a way to move your base to a different realm in the future. Unfortunately at the time of writing this I missed updating my script. The issue with early access games is that things can change so although I have tried to make this as accurate as possible there may be things that are no longer correct.
tbh the devs are being really proactive and actually listening to all of our feedback which is a refreshing change and if they fix the issues the community are asking for this could turn into an incredible game!!
Everytime I use fresh forest biome cards and reset the portal I keep getting the same realm but just with a different map. But the colour and environment and creatures are all the same. Is that normal ?
yes, that is correct. The reset will just alter the landscape, location of poi's, dungeons, loot etc for farming purposes etc. You need to use the realmic generator to alter the weather, flora colours etc with the different minor cards. The creature types are tied to the biome although you may create a realm that has a load of the fabled one - I have found this easiest to hunt in the swamp as you seem to get more fabled meat and hide. Hope you are enjoying the game though :-)
About 20hrs in now in EA - honestly I dont like how you can re-open an existing Portal and play minor cards as you like - feels like it undermines the theme of the game being lost in the fae wilds...
The initial idea was that once you had closed a portal that realm was lost, but after testing, although it was a nice idea, so many people complained about it they changed it to how it is now. However, you can always reset a realm and once you have done that your previous realm would be lost. I guess you've got to look at it like you are lost because you don't know how to get back to Nightingale but you do have a certain amount of Fae magick you can use :-) Thanks for the comment though and hope you are enjoying the game otherwise. I know there is a lot more content on the way already!
Technically I already am lol but I'm not allowed to stream it yet!! It releases for Early Access on Tuesday so will be streaming it from then - it's pretty awesome tbh and quite different too!
what makes you think that? It's actually very good to play and the graphics are fantastic. The crafting is great and the combat is fun. I would say that most of the aspects of the game they have actually done very well and made something that is unique in the survival crafting sector
