Not what I’d call a looker, but I guess the trade off is that fuel economy, and the accommodation in the floats looks better than any other trimaran I’ve seen. 👍🏻
I am old school and like the classics and trawlers. This yacht will have to grow on me. If you ever see the Miss Sarah J or a 3 or 4 mast tall ship, it would be great.
I quite like the looks and the internal layout, with a few misses or exceptions: in a live-aboard explorer I'd expect a washer/dryer and some extra freezer storage somewhere, but the only only logical place to put them seems to be the stern garage, which would be a pain to get to and is taken up anyway. Perhaps going the extra two meters to the full 24 would have provided for that. And while I quite like the efficiency focus, sometimes you just need the ability to run away, be it from Poseidon or pirates. In that context it's interesting to see the Leen 51 sporting near twice the engine power and 20 knots top speed [from the Diesel alone?]. 20 knots are also somtimes given for this boat, but unless it's just confusion I'd assume that's for a really short burst using the 400HP Diesel and batteries/generator for the electric motors until the batteries are drained... So I wonder this exceptional escape speed/range map looks like and if there is any wiggling room that can fit extendabilty/speed without completely invalidating the design? I also wonder if there is any renders or even pictures of an enclosed flybridge variant?
LEEN 72 & Sleek Lines is definitely a "Mutt&Jeff" Pairing IMHO. I Love what LEEN has done with the merging a Trimaran Hull with Greener Technology; BUT, the exterior appearance screams "LEGO Block" Aesthetics which is Not Sleek. Nice Video of a nice concept design.
Hi John, it looks to be a Marmite tri from the comments......for me it's a 👍 and 5⭐, now where did I put last night's lottery tickets. Also be good to investigate a full electric silent sett up too, unlimited cruising minimum costs ✔️ Cheers DougT
"Quirky" - yes. The front end looks odd to me. I feel like the side hulls should extend further to allow for trampolines or something. Nice otherwise though.
This is the Edsel of trimarans, an ugly duckling with a nonsymetrical and boxy design. The exterior lacks beautiful marine lines because of the center hull. Cyrano may have been romantic but he was not pretty. The interior is attractive and spacious. Perhaps the exterior could look be fixed if the two outer hulls matched the center hull length and if the odd shape was adjusted.
90 minutes of all electric is pretty terrible. I wonder what it would be like if the fly bridge were covered with solar, the battery pack dramatically increased, the diesel replaced with a large generator and it's shaft powered with a third electric motor.
I love your enthusiasm about sea going vessels
thanks 🙌 I appreciate it 🫡
This is my wish yacht, if i ever can, this is what i want to travel the world

Very nice! love the layout. Love the economy even more!
I have never seen a video of this boat in rough water ..... always in calm seas.
That's what I came to see. 3500 miles of capacity you better be able to handle real ocean not a bathtub
None of the Cats or Trimarans are advertised in rough water. They only show a little chop and call it rough.
Very cool design

How do the trimaran handle confused seas and other conditions? Gone with the winds said no one wanted to be below in weather.
Looks like a goblin shark mated with a river dolphin and she kept the baby.
The quality of the Neell trimaran has been subpar I expect that to be translated into the power version
A lovely concept and design for a coastal cruiser but much too small for exploring the world.
1 liter per mile? Damn.
It's a stunning yatch, how much is it
A very strange boat, that may find it's self looking for a place in the market, that does not exist.
unique. some people like unique things.
you can think of it as alliterative to Selene or Nordhavn trawlers
Looks like a swordfish
Is it a joke or is it Neel in reverse?
quite possibly the ugliest boat i have ever seen.. where can i buy one?

That has got to be the ugliest thing I've ever seen on water
Why waste potential deck space?
The narrator properly says Saloon and not that dockqueen salon which is where POSH wanna bees I guess spend their time setting their hair done
Hmm
Electric back up motos.kinda like a EV on the Alaska Highway in the winter when it is minus 40.
Put diesel engines in all three hulls.
2.5 million for only 3K nautical miles?? Much nice and cheaper boats get close to 7K and are much nicer for 1.5mil.
Really?
@MrAbletospeak lol

If only they had given the same foredeck as the smaller models......
Now Thats one ugly boat
i don't like it
