Ah, this brings me back to the days of riding my horse into town and getting so shitfaced playing a game of cards that I couldn’t walk. Shooting everyone in sight, drunk, running away from cops. Then I’d go home and pop in Red Dead Redemption. Good times
reminds me of when i was in valentine and i got drunk in the saloon and then went for a hot bath in the hotel just opposite the street and the lady drowned me in the bathtub...... Remember kids don't drink and bathe.
If you sort of just barge into the saloon while sprinting, everyone incuding the piano man while stop what they're doing and just look at you. You can make them repeat this by going over to the windows in cover mode and punch them out repeatedly
This is like listening to my dad again, all of us gathered around the piano....he could play anything. I miss him dearly! R.I.P. father till we meet in that heavenly saloon on high..
This guy's main job is anytime somebody picks a fight at the bar, he turns and looks while paused for suspense, shrugs his shoulders and keeps on playing even faster through the brawl 😂
mad respect man :D first guy to actually rip the songs from the game files everyone else is stupid and trys in game >.< atleast we have a few smart ducklings xD
Dottore ' Hell yeah man! But for some bizarre reason every Goddamn time i hear it the piano player bugs out. Just stands on the stool then starts playing song 1 in this list... goddamnit piano man!
Wow, I had no idea how much better these songs are compared to RDR2. Guess I never really stopped to appreciate the atmosphere in RDR1, I was too busy living life in the fast lane.
Gah the memories lmao I play RDR2 and I’ll sometimes just sit on the mountains watching the view getting memories hard core from the 1st red dead redemption and I’ll just ride around thinking and missing the old days
@@sobriquet5016 sorry, I'm not familiar with any of these songs, not sure if they're actual old ragtime songs or if they were just composed for the game either. Ragtime can be a bit complex for beginners because of the techniques like stride playing, but just play them slowly until you've got the movements and patterns downpat and then you can gradually speed it up, learning any piece in piano is all about muscle memory, as in you repeat it so many times that your hands can play it almost automatically without needing to concentrate on it. Scott Joplin songs are a good start for most newcomers to Ragtime, my first Ragtime song was The Entertainer, which is a pretty good one, it sounds complex when you listen to it but it's pretty easy to play once you've become familiar with the patterns, and The Maple Leaf Rag is another good one for beginners. Solace is considered to be one of the more complicated ragtime pieces, also by Scott Joplin, and ironically it's the exact opposite of The Entertainer, because it's meant to be played slowly and it sounds kind of simple but it's a lot trickier to play than it sounds. It's also a very long song. I hope that advice was somewhat helpful, I'm not a piano teacher, so I can only recommend pieces to learn, but I would probably recommend seeing a piano teacher if you can afford it, because when you're practicing by yourself you can sometimes make mistakes without noticing and a good teacher will be able to point out these mistakes and teach you the best way to practice at home, good luck with the ragtime pieces though!
@@basedbattledroid3507 Hey thanks so much! I am a massive Scott Joplin fan and I completely agree. I can play a simplified arrangement of the Entertainer but Maple Leaf Rag is still out of my playing ability! Congratulations to you on playing some of the finest rag times. These tunes from Red Dead are still some of the finest and I have located at least 1 of the piece's sheet music online that someone constructed. Wish there were more. You're right in that it appears they were written just for the game and don't have actual names.

De Santa, Reyes; all the same! They just want Armadillo rail rides.” ”The Southwestern Railroad Company is just a front for the Jews to run the country, ya know?”

Herbert moon beating you at cards even though you had 3 of a kind. So you lassoed that fucker up and tied him up on the tracks and took great pleasure in watching the train turn him into jelly
Jack playing blackjack in the Blackwater saloon, the same saloon John went to in his final days, at his boiling point, about to ride out to take revenge on Edgar Ross destroying everything he had. That’s what I see.
I think anything I heard song 3 and 4 in the saloons, I’d stop a buy a drink or five or sit and play cards or liars dice just to hear them. Best two tracks!
I know I'm a year late, but if I recall correctly from my research, some 5-8 years ago when I wanted to learn them, the composer played all by improvising, so there is no name other than the soundtrack number of the game.
@@TheMathias95 thanks for the reply! That’s fascinating that they were all improvised - must be a very talented musician. Did you end up learning any of the ragtime tunes? Hopefully one day we can commission someone a lot more talented than I am to transcribe the piece to sheet music/ alternative.

River Fantuz bruh

You know what woulda been great? The ability to tip the pianist so that he'd play your favorite song.
Holy shit that’s a great idea. If there’s ever a RDR3 I need this feature
Or to be able to actually play a tune ourselves!
I always repeatedly sat down and got back up from the blackjack table because he's change the song afterwards

I press pause at random times just to give the effect of the entire saloon momentarily becoming quiet when some out of town stranger walks in.

teresa trueblood I'm sorry about ur father :(
I'm sorry bro! I WOULD join the heavenly saloon for sure.
Aww that's really sweet

I imagine an almost empty saloon with one person at the bar and one piano player.
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious hahahahaaha
When you go on a killing rampage but you spare the musician.
The first song makes me think of an empty saloon with the piano being played by a ghost
Guy at bar: I remember a time when this was the busiest wat'rin' hole west of the Mississippi. Siddown, sun, and lemme tell ye some stories.
RDO in a nutshell...

These movies and RDR2 romanticized the old west though. I feel like it was a very boring time period unless you were a real cowboy
