    So after your advice. Today I was able to use the ford F038 after multiple failed attempts. My issue was I wasn't using enough tension and because of this, they weren't binding. I also learned that on some spots you have to click it into place twice until it gets springy. Also I was mistaken some wafers for springy when they weren't. Thank you my friend

    That is Awesome insight! I am getting better at determining the slight bouncies from the legit bouncies but prax will get me there. Over setting is definitely my worst enemy and for some reason I assumed you didn't have to worry about the 1 cut as much. Thanks for clarifying otherwise!

    There is any chance your making a tutorial on va6 4 lifters that will be a fantastic

      Nope. I get all these locks at junkyard. Those cars aren’t in America so I can’t get a lock. Toy48 and hy22 on my channel are 4 lifter Lishi. Not sure if they’re similar to va6 or not

    Could you use the 10 cut lishi on 8 cut locks to prove it reads correctly and does work properly. Im afraid the spacing would be off a bit.

      Just buy both. Never know when you’ll need a ten cut ignition

    I wish you had shown the bounce/travel on the ones you didn't need to pick. You knew the depths ahead of time, but that's obviously not the case for a practicing locksmith. Did the 4 depths bounce consistently from the get go or did they slightly bind at first?

      I am a locksmith. Use these everyday. What I recommend doing is getting locks that you have a key so you know the bitting and you then can develop a feel for what the 4 depths feel like. I didn’t touch them because I was. Trying to the hammer home the point that they don’t need to be picked.

      I never have issues picking them. They just don’t always decode easily

      @@BoredLockpicker Yes that's what I meant to say. Sometimes I'll pick a lock and then insert the lishi to read. If I can get the pick out.

    I have been trying to pick a HU100 trunk lock for about a week without success. However, I have started to notice, no matter how much tension I use, wafer #5 refuses to set. Is it possible I have a damaged lock?

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Is it a 4 cut? If it is you don’t need to pick it. If if you don’t have a key you send me the lock. I’ll make one. Of course the lock could be damaged but I would be surprised since the trunk lock barely would get used.

    hey..on a 2020 GMC ..it says ignition is an 8 cut..door from 3 to 8..so I just leave 1, 2 alone? then use instacode for remaining two?

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If they aren’t in the lock use lock codes or insta code. Or just pick the ignition

      Hu100 is easy though lol. The door is fine. If the first two wafers really aren’t there. Just use code fill on insta code or lock codes and you’ll be good. If you don’t get a valid decode pick at the other way and it should work

      You have to look up the silca key blank to know which Lishi to use on the car.
