May I add my unsolicited advice as an old lady now, that may help someone struggling with this now or in the future: never abandon your self respect, self-worth or your dignity by begging through those tears for someone not to leave you based on memories you've got in your head of your past with that person, no matter how long or short the relationship has been. Try to remember that by the time he/she breaks up with you using their words, that person had already moved on emotionally and spiritually from you well before he/she found the courage to utter those dreaded 'break up' words. That person has already removed himself/herself from your relationship in all ways that truly matter over the long haul. The physical slows down over time and if there is nothing else as your foundation with that person, things like honesty, integrity, trust, honor, respect, transparency, kindness, consideration, thoughtfulness, joy - that 'foundation' you depended on just crumbles and both of you end up merely existing, not really living. If the person wholly loved *you*, there isn't another person on the planet, regardless of appearance, prominence, wealth, prestige, reputation, career, etc., who could entice them to cheat. If they can be seduced, if they even 'wonder' about that other person, then they aren't loving you enough and you deserve better.

What utter BS - I grew up the only girl in a family of boys, and more uncles than aunts - so I was always more comfortable around males than females - I'm 60 this year and still more comfortable around men, women are too bitchy, I learnt that not only at school but in the workplace - and have been with the same man for 42 years
