I have the 2017 Quick4..didn't want disc brakes, wanted better components etc. I love it. Excellent bike and is beautiful too. Amazing paint job from Cannondale. Acid green/black. The thing changes color in different lighting. Averaging about 25/30miles per ride on it..it moves!
thanks, I really miss having a flatbar fun bike. And After my alloy Synapse I am a huge fan of the SAVE tech. Example My synapse on 25c @ 90+ psi is far more comfortable than a trek Crossrip on 40c at 45 psi!
Great bikes. Just got a 2017 Quick 3 to replace my 2009 Quick 4. More refined but overall not much has changed (in a good way). I didn't take good enough care of the 2009 so I am going to treat the 2017 right! Love this bike already!
Hey Is this bike ok for long rides? Maybe 30-50 miles? Not riding to go super fast or set new time records, I just like being comfortable and going far
Really nice video, one of the few reviews of this kind! What size is the bike you're riding? I'm going to buy a 2017 Quick 3 and i would need an advice on sizing. I'm between an L or XL. I am roughly 1,78 cm. Would the XL be better for a more road-ish position? would it be confortable, even though a bit large for me, considering the Quick's already upwards position?
As I remember from the 2016 specs the BadBoy had a more 'aggressive' geometry as opposed to the Quick (seat tube angle, head tube angle, horizontal top tube length) is this still the case with the 2017 bikes?
the lower end forked bad boys (3 and 4) have AL forks. :( Price on the 1 and 2 , is absolutely nuts! With sora and tiagra being flatbar now. I would expect either of those with a Carbon fork at a grand or less on a bad boy geo. If a person is looking at dyno hubs (commuting), the Lefty is also out! I was looking at Bad boys, but the price of the Quick3 disc $870 is winning me over. carbon fork, tapered steerer and all that. However Cannondale web page is still showing badboys for 2016. maybe there are some changes for 2017 on them?
Would you recommend this bike for trail use like small, crushed gravel (not mountain bike trails) like canal paths and the like? How would you compare this to a Scott Metrix 2.0 (20) hybrid bike? Great, informative video.
I have a custom cannondale. it was a road bike before I crashed and bent the handlebars and broke my shifters, so i changed to flat bars and changed my saddle.
Hi Peter, great detailed review. Why don´t you review some other hybrid/fitness bikes like the trex fx 3 disc or the Bianchi c sport 2/3. it would be really interesting to watch.
+Tatiana C exactly! Wow good eye. The Quick is a lot of fun and well made. Can't go wrong. Are you riding anything now our is this the first bike in a while?-Peter
Hi, I am about to buy a quick 5 2016 model from a friend. My height is 173 cms and the bike is of large size. will it be suitable for me? I am getting it at a good price hence the dilemma...
Love the look and purpose of the Quick. Moving to Hilo, Hawaii (super rainy and rugged) at end of the month and don't know of my 2016 Giant TCR Advanced SL 2 is really the right tool for the job there. Might be "downgrading" to one of these hybrid bikes. I need fitness, utility, comfort, and ruggedness. Seems a shame I'm moving to the same island as Kona but want to ditch the road bike. What do you guys think?
I am 5'4" with a 30" inseam and I purchased the Medium. I was almost sure I would need a small because of my height and inseam, but the medium was a much better fit. This bike does "run small".
Sorry I had to nitpick about that it just sounded a bit off to me that's all ;-) As a long time Cannondale cyclist (mostly MTBs) I must say I think this bike is absolutely fantastic looking. I already liked the 2016 Quick 4 Matte Black (unfortunately not available in this color in the EU) so I am hoping this new one WILL be available in my area. I like the design choice that the 'Cannondale' brand logo has moved from the down tube to the top tube again. Last time they did this was in the late 80s / very early 90s so kudos to Cannondale for that retro move. Very cool.
+Roxic12 thank you! It's been a great helmet. Very comfortable. I wish the POC graphics didn't chip if the sides though. Also, I didn't go with the mips model but I wish I had. Do you have POC? -Peter
The video quality is great as is the production value but there's so much repetition here for a 5 minute video. The audio is incredibly repetitive on top of being generic "hipster commercial"-y but what really annoyed me was that you kept repeating the same points again and again. I mean, there are only so many points to go over but I feel like you could have done a little less repetition in a 5 minute video. Like, the sound alone was adding a level of repetition that I've seen in plenty of other commercials but your script didn't need to go over the same highlights in slightly different words. It makes it seem like there isn't much to say about the bike which I mean it is a run of the mill fitness commuter so that might be the case but then why not just cut the video short or try to add more value to each point instead of repeating it again and again.
+Virgil Hawkins That is great feedback Vergil! I could probably have cut this a little shorter. We always like to be a little repetitive as it helps the viewer retain more information. Some people remember details and talking points more quickly than others and it seems you are one of those people! That is cool. Personally I don't mind hearing the main points a few times as long as the visuals are changing. But you're right to be honest, I didn't prep for this video as much as I have done for some others and so had less to talk about. Hey stick around and you won't be disappointed. Did you check out our CAAD12 review? That one has been very well received so far. Thanks for your comment! -Peter
The CAAD12 was actually the first video on this channel that I watched and the reason I wanted to check out some other content from you guys. It was really good, the production value was on point and your presenter has the kind of charisma that carries a talk-heavy show. I already knew a lot about the bike but after watching your review I felt like I wanted to jump on it immediately instead of patiently saving up for it later on. I think the only thing I would have to say is that it's a little light on the in depth details (specs, design, comparison, pros and cons). I'm not a bike buff by any means but I do feel like a stronger emphasis on the price class comparison and pros and cons would go a long way to informing my choice but I get the feeling that you may be catering to a more general audience and that's perfectly fine as well so I'm not gonna fault you for it. So yeah, good work guys, I hope you find your niche in the cycling community, we need a little variety in the high quality channels department.
Cannondale is still top of the line in regards to quality even after Outsourcing to China in 1996. All bikes prior to 96 were manufactured in here the United States. I will admit I was sad to see this happen and I take a lot of pride in my bikes from earlier years but they still offer a quality product.
I design and build tools for aircraft industry. Been riding road bikes 50 plus years. I've designed a no hands shifting system for road bikes. Very aero, extremely accurate and fast. Anybody interested. I would like thoughts and feedback.
No one, in the world, presents a bike like Peter. Well done, again.
Hey thanks for the complement!!! :) Happy to hear you enjoyed the review. The Quick was a fun one to review and a great ride as well. -Peter
my cannondale quick 5 from 2011 is one of the best bikes i've ever owned. i still ride it regularly and it's always been reliable, quick and fun.
That is awesome! Keep it up and keep having fun! -Peter

Perfect bike for a bad back.
Morningside Heights! I used to circle Grant's Tomb like that looking for a parking spot. Great video. Thanks!

I can attest to the sturdiness since I use it for food delivery
Would this be good for a newbie 12mile commuter
Love your bike videos.
what is the riders height . And what is the size of the frame in inches ???
Background music is a little too loud. Detracts from the presentation.
Great review! Thanks
Is this bike only sold in your store or can I buy it online?

Can you please tell us the best hybrids under a budget of $250-$300 ?
Can I add the front suspension from CX to the the Quick 5? Any other front suspensions that are not as expensive as the bike itself?

I am 5 3 and it fits me perfectly. I also thought I would need a small as that's what I usually ride but was not the case with this bike.
One inch diameter tires??

funny, he talks about safety of the bike and then he blows through a stop sign... really guys.
