QUESTION - What video would you like us to make on this channel?
About this video:
This video showcases my top 10 VR racing titles on PC which you can experience right now, today.
Our mission here is to produce engaging, entertaining and educational content for passionate Sim Racers like ourselves. 🙏🏻
Assetto Corsa using CM is my go to VR game. Cool video, thanks!
i wish their was more like street racing vr compatible games like a need for speed or something
Sorry bit late to view this great video on sim racing in vr. It was great to see someone mention my go to sim in vr Raceroom Racing. It generally gets forgotten. So it was wonderful to see it in your list of vr sim titles ( Good job 👍 )
Thank you for the kind words 🙏 I’m a fan of Raceroom too and does get forgotten a lot 👍🏻
raceroom physics suck
@@earthexplorer579 you've obviously got the wrong setting then
@@No1astrofan settings in what area?
@@earthexplorer579 wheel force feed back settings, it will also depend on what wheel base you have
Great vid 👏
Thank you for the kind words 🙏
Not a problem you have helped me so much on my sim racing experience. No but thank you.
@Steeljohnjo that’s awesome to hear. Let me know if there’s any video you’d like me to do that would help you more 👍🏻
No thank you
Nice video thank you. I have Quest 3 and 4090 too. I give you my setting to try. Maybe you like it. Use link cable. I like to use helmet so these settings don't disturb me. In debug tool pixel per eye 2.5 or 3 , FOV 0.8 and 0.3 (exact helmet view), ASW disable, link sharpening normal. Distortion Curvature is high. In game virtual reality 100. Sharpening 200. Hope you try and see the difference.
Thank you for the kinds words and the helpful tips. I will definitely try these 👍🏻
@@thesimracingshaolinstudent you will see big difference :)
Do you use Virtual Desktop at all?
@@TBMartin No. Link cable. VD can't give the quality as link cable because of data transfer rates. For simulations i use always link cable. The trick here in debug tool; when you get Vertical FOV to 0.3 (like helmet), you create more than double room in VRam. In oculus app refresh rate must be 72.
@@thesimracingshaolinstudent forgot to say, in Oculus app refresh rate must be 72 :)
This review is soooo generic. It sound more like a marketing pitch than a review. There is so much false claims that nobody should trust anything said in this video. It's so blunt and disingenuous. Why would you record that heavily scripted buzzword salad?
I have Quest 3 and Assetto corsa only opens in 2d not Vr then using VD
Use Content manager, then in : Settings / assetto corsa / Video / Resolution and FPS / Rendering mode. I use OpenVr when i want to play with the Q3 with Virtual desktop
@@luchu270 Many many thanks!, will try it!
Sorry, but for me F1 2024 VR is horrible. It´s unsharp an laggy. I use a Quest 3 and a RTX 4080. Tried several fixes but i don´t get it work well.
Project Car?
iRacing?
It’s never appealed to me to be honest. I’ve never felt I was missing anything with what the other titles can offer me.
not even a word on iRacing which is the best simracing vr experience ever had. Solid 120 fps , good vr support, great netcode and relatively good physics. And yes I tested and have AC, ACC, Dirt 2, EA WRC, LMU, Rfactor2 and Automobilista 2 .
No F1 games? F1 23 is fantastic in VR
cus it looks like poop
its too old .
@@earthexplorer579 I enjoy it
Now please do a list of VR racing games that are easy to pick up, easy to play and are not totally simulations.
I know Project Cars 3 gets a lot of flack for being an arcade sim game but that's the type of game I want to play because it's easier to get into than 90% of the games on this list. We all have to start somewhere and Project Cars 3 is a good start. It's just a shame a lot of VR sim racers are snobs who dismiss the game because it's not real enough. These same people probably haven't driven 90% of the cars in real life in said game.
So please do a list of VR racing games that are not pure race Sims that anyone can get into.
This is a great idea 👍🏻
@@thesimracingshaolinstudent Please do, it will help me and others who want to get into the whole SIM racing thing but want to start at the bottom instead of the top. AC, ACC & AM2 are all games that beginners will find incredibly difficult to start this SIM racing journey with. Games like Project Cars 3 is a game in my opinion that allows beginners to experience what it's like to race in VR but it's a game nearly everyone says not to play because as I said "it's not real enough".
which one is best in terms of gfx?
Without VR ACC is pretty gorgeous out of the box. AC can be made to look gorgeous and AMS2 is great out of the box for VR 👍🏻
Not once in any of these channels who recommend VR games etc do you ever talk about motion sickness from VR like quest 3. I know so many people including me who would love to continue to play our sim racing in vr but just can't due to motion sickness
I got rid of my motion sickness by removing the face mask and using the bobovr headset that has a fan. The fan has a different suspension system then the non fan version and is stiffer allowing the display to hover in front of your head without any other supports. I basically turned my my quest 3 head strap into a quest pro which allows me to have some periferal vision around the edges which got rid of 90% of my motion sickness. I was then able to build up tolerance and I can race for a few hours without any side effects after the first week.
Aside from a side note or warning , what would be the point? And you know you have motion sickness, so again, what does that add to the top 10 list?
Or set your FPS to 90 or above. I get bad motion sickness from things like cars, traveling and playing VR games but only if they are set lower than 90fps. Anything over 90fps and I don't get motion sickness
@@TBMartin yes, this is very important. Very! That's why good, stable FPS is more important than graphics in VR. Then, almost equally, comfort.
@@mickaelsflow6774 I think it's a mix because there has to be a point where the GFX are so bad that it's unplayable. Let's take F1 23 as an example because it's a blurry game by default. On my Pico 4 with VD set to ultra and codec set to HEVC 150Mbps the game is a lot blurrier than it is on my Quest 3 set to ultra in VD with the AV1 10bit codex with 200Mbps. Both VR headsets are outputting at the max I can do with my PC but because it's noticeably blurrier on the Pico 4, it's more comfortable on my Quest 3 visually. Even though settings are as closely matched as possible
There is no such game called WRC 23..... You are talking about EA SPORTS WRC and saying it's running ok in VR is a flat out lie same for F1.
It is not in my interests to make false statements and knowingly lie. They both run fine for me. Sure they’re no AMS2 or AC but I can jump in and drive without stuttering, a good frame rate and with good visuals. I am lucky to have a beefy PC though. 👍🏻 Hope you can get them to a point that they’re working well for you.
if you had ever played the games on your lists, you wouldn’t recommend dirt rally2
These are the top 10 that I like playing. I don’t play iracing which is why it’s not here. But I do play all of these. 👍🏻
What do you recommend for rally games?
@@PUBGEEZYI like Dirt Rally 2 and WRC23 too. If you’re just getting into it then go with the cheapest one. You can always get the other one after 👍🏻
