For clarification to those who think Anakin and Vader are different people: Anakin and Vader being different is part of the lie. It's what Anakin tells himself (to cope), what Obi-Wan tells himself, and what Palpatine tells Anakin. "You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker, I did." "He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader." "The son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi." It's only Luke who refuses to accept the lie and continues to call him father and Anakin. This is partly what leads to Anakins redemption. "You were right about me."
Exactly. That's the point. Redemption is for everyone. This "different personalities" theory only cheapers the message and turns Anakin in a saint who was always the victim. That's not the point of the story.

Except he was crying out for help time and time again from the Jedi elders in the Jedi council. Reading the novelization of the prequels and the comics might help you understand the full picture because he did basically ask for help many times of which the Jedi order had many opportunity to help conquer his demons with therapy and suitable mentorship and sound guidance to finally feel from his childhood wounds/wounds of his youth/lost innocence due to being born into slavery and being enslaved until he won his freedom in a pod racing competition at the tender age of 9. He was also doomed from the start because he was bound to the will of the Force itself. Plus exposure to slavery early on in your life during your formative years is bound to mess you up/set you up to fall/fail.

5:28 This part hits different, it’s like when Palpatine is offering Anakin a whole new personality for him to join the dark side, at the same time, Obi Wan and Ashoka are trying to bring him back to the light side, by calling his name, in a desperate attempt to save him. But after failing, Palpating gives him a new name and identity, mentally gaslighting him into believing that Anakin Skywalker is not within him anymore.
"I am what you made me" hits so hard. I believe it wasn't directed only at Obi Wan, but the entire Jedi council and the way they did things. In my opinion, the episode in TCW where Obi Wan fakes his own death was reason enough for Anakin become who he does, that was so twisted and wrong, let alone all the other things. All Anakin wanted was for them to trust him, and they never really did.
It also shows an interesting contradiction in Anakin at that point. It is also why I never bought into the "Anakin and Vader are different people" shtick some fans are still so adamant about. He is aware that the Council had wronged him and Palpatine had manipulated him by exploiting every emotion he had ever felt, and that is why he has become such a twisted man. A horribly unhealthy upbringing, bad treatment by his peers and a particularly persistent predatory relationship have all made him this way. He clearly feels a great deal of resentment for all of that. These factors were also entirely outside of Anakin's control. His actions are his choice but the circumstances of his youth are not. I am certain that, had he the opportunity, he probably would not have elected to spend his best years fighting a cruel war started by his abuser, for an organisation he felt wronged by at every step of the way. But that choice was not given to him and he resents that, also. According to my interpretation, that is a big part of the reason why he considers his past self weak. Sure, he could not save his mother and wife from death, but there is clearly more to him than that. Taking a look at some other quotes of Vader's, he says things like "Anakin Skywalker was weak; I destroyed him," "You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker; I did" constantly. That is clearly not true, he is, after all, standing right there with all the memories and pains of before, and there is still the good of his past hidden within. However, he needs it to be true. He needs this one choice to be his and his alone - to shut the good in him out, to give in to his inner deamons, finally unshackle his passions. He needs it because otherwise, he has no agency. He is still nothing more than a piece of fabric, flapping around in any direction the wind blows, playing to someone else's with no choice in the matter - just as he had been as a Jedi. And he deplores that.
2:45 "Where is Padme?" and then you show Luke, who had Padme's spirit ("There is good in him" - ROTS/"There is still good in him" - ROTJ) DUDE I HAVE CHILLS 🤯❤️🔥 Your edit deserves ALL the awards 🏆
I have no words to express the happiness I have felt watching this amazing video 🙌🔥 Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader is the best character of all Star Wars
I broke down to this , and one who suffers from ptsd, depression, extreme anxiety, the words spoke ring true from Anakin. It tears at me as the light shines dimmer but yet there. Sometimes it feels as if everyone is against you. I had two mothers, one gave me up for a better life and the other gave me up for who I was as a child. All others suffering from this know you aren't alone, be brave and don't look back.. don't look back. It's not worth it. Keep the light and dark and use it as if it gives you strength to move forward to prove those wrong. To be better them those who look down on you. If you do stop fighting you will die.
There just isn't a better fictional character than Anakin Skywalker. A man of love, compassion, kindness, charm, hope, and justice. But also a man of greed, hate, envy, anger, corruption, and malice. All of it part of who he was, which he accepted in death. Now he brings balance. For himself and others.
Honestly this may be the best edit of Anakin I've ever seen. You perfectly encapsulated his good and bad, the conflict that was always there. When he was a Jedi, he had darkness in him. When he was a Sith, he still had good. He IS the balance. Killer edit man ❤
As someone who grew up watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars as a kid from the very first premiere of the first episode at late night and being introduced to the Star Wars Franchise through Anakin Skywalker I want to say Thank you for this wonderfully edited video. It makes me smile to know people appreciated Anakin, since for me at least, He was my protagonist. He was my Luke. Anakin Skywalker always has and always will be the Main Character for Star Wars when it comes to me
If there are any people like me who grew up watching The Clone Wars as their introduction to Star Wars then feel free to comment back! I watched Cartoon Network on my TV back when it was on Channel 66, if you also watched it on Channel 66 put 66 at end of your comment like this -66 so I can know as an indicator! ☺️ 💚
@@alirezaomrani7650 I second everything you said. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is also my favorite character in all of Star Wars since I myself grew up with the Prequel Trilogy and the Clone Wars. And if I recall correctly, even George Lucas himself said that Anakin IS the protagonist of Star Wars, and even if he had not, I would still view Anakin as Star Wars itself, as he and his story hold such central significance to the timeline as a whole. The Original Trilogy just had a POV change in Anakin's son (Luke) is all. And really, Anakin/Vader could be perfectly summed up with this famous quote by Malak to Revan: "Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things, Revan... and yet you are nothing. In the end, you belong to neither the light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone." That line always stuck with me, and when I first heard it in KOTOR, I thought that could be used to describe Anakin/Vader as well, not just Revan. -66
I love it when it says “if there is to be balance you Shall be known as darth vader”. As The Jedi had lost their way , for there to be balance he had to wipe Everything and only leave His son who was somewhat of a neutral force user at The end of rotj. For him to fulfill The prophecy , Anakin had to become vader.
This video is the most amazing representation I have ever seen of what Anakin is. Anakin and Vader are both of the dualities in the force. He is the representation of balance, The Chosen One.
Even not being as satisfied as I'd like to be with the current state of the franchise, this video made me admittedly emotional and gave me goosebumps and teary eyes at a few moments. You truly, beautifully encapsulate the conflict and troublesome journey of Anakin Skywalker and all of torment and turmoil inside his soul, but with a hint that the people around him, deceased or not, were always there to support him and strip away the evil and the lies of the dark side.
Beautifully done. Anakin is the core of Star Wars, and I love this summation. I feel like his arc has finally, truly come full circle thanks to the recent Ahsoka finale. I'm glad you included his final scene.
Bravo!! Fantastic job my friend! Everything was woven together beautifully and I loved how you used the 2003 animated clone wars to elevate your narrative. Oh and btw, 1:21-1:35? Brilliant
What a compilation! An overview of not only Anakin himself, but his journey as the chosen one and the burdens it brought along the way, both in the light and the dark. Thank you for this!
One of the greatest characters in the history of visual entertainment, folks. The sheer SCALE of his arc alone stands out, even leaving aside just how much he goes through and how much he does both as a protagonist and an antagonist.
I'm getting goosebumps with watching these hard works , i must confess you're chosen one too , you've came here to bring balance between fearful and fresh sides in TH-cam
3:21 "but my caring for you will remain", then shows luke. omg, my heart broke into a million pieces. also: "live" / "i can't live without her", then "die" / "anakin is gone". superb! your edits are my favorite. they encapsulate everything perfectly, just right. makes me love star wars even more. 🤍
This is Incredible. Thank You for Making This. Anakin is and always will be My Favorite Character Of All Time. His Character Arc is In My Opinion, The Greatest Story in The History of Cinema and This Video Perfectly Captures The Brilliance of It. Great Job!
I just finished the Ahsoka series but I didn't realize that those statues Baylan was on were the father and his children, until you put the scenes together at 3:41. The story weaving is immaculate 👌
Damnnnn, those shots of 5:20 all the people that still love and know there is good in Anakin breaking through the dark cloud that is Vader with valiant swings to see the light of Anakin beneath. Awesome!
I can't even begin of how perfect this video is. Everything is perfectly timed. The transitions, the voiceovers and the scenes. So many emotions at once. Wow, this is so amazing 😊
Again an amazing job. I think each video about Anakin you upload makes me understand him more and more. What a complex character; he's been my favourite since I can remember, and I still feel I know almost nothing about him
This Anakin compilation has left me speechless 😃. Big round of applause to your editing skills and to your patrons and i loved how each part of his storyline was highlighted with that badass soundtrack 💖💗👏👏👏
What makes Anakin work is his imperfections as a character, he's so human in his triumphs and failings, both a hero and a monster, and motivated in both by love, both immature and selfless; his character doesn't just tell the audience what heroism is, but shows how far a hero can fall into villainy just as quickly as they rose to heroism. He's an example of imperfections in either direction.
This is A MASTERPIECE! I would not at all hesitate to appreciate the efforts made into this! And there is no lie that Anakin/Darth Vader is yet the Best Written Character ever created in the History,I'm truly left speechless and am unable to express how much this has made FEEL ,This Edit Is a Literal Masterpiece!

Oh yeah, Luke definitely had Padme's spirit, just as Leia was as bull-headed as Anakin
THE definitive Anakin Skywalker tribute.
Guaranteed a million views.
Star Wars isn’t about war and lightsabers and Jedi. It’s about the tragedy of Darth Vader.
I have no words to express the happiness I have felt watching this amazing video 🙌🔥
Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader is the best character of all Star Wars
best character of anything period tbh
Anakin is so relatable. My God they should make a show just for him played by Hayden Christensen
Its amazing how much better the prequels look visually than any of the recent live action shows
There is no other character that has brought me to tears more times than Anakin has as he goes through his journey to bring balance to the force.
3:50 best part of the whole thing, such a fire transition
Wow. As an editor myself, the way you blended the past and the present together without making it abrupt was simply phenomenal!
Amazing edit! Anakin was the true chosen one, he embraced both light and dark.
This world and the durt init needs Vader or this world will just blow away quicker..
MAGNIFICENT!! His story is of legend and he is truly the chosen one.
Easily the best and most tragic character in all of fiction. Timeless
Honestly this may be the best edit of Anakin I've ever seen. You perfectly encapsulated his good and bad, the conflict that was always there. When he was a Jedi, he had darkness in him. When he was a Sith, he still had good. He IS the balance. Killer edit man ❤
the music choice, scene choices and overall composition is insane. Re-watched over three times now, great work! 👏🏻
1:33 gave me INSTANT chills
As someone who grew up watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars as a kid from the very first premiere of the first episode at late night and being introduced to the Star Wars Franchise through Anakin Skywalker
I want to say Thank you for this wonderfully edited video.
Bro dropped the hardest edit and thought we wouldn't notice
THIS IS THE SICKEST SHIT IVE EVER SEEN props to you dude. This edit perfectly encapsulates Anakins tragedy
gave me chills. the life of anakin is heartbreaking
This was truly amazing and a beautifully made compilation of Anakin
Bro I legit cried
This video is the most amazing representation I have ever seen of what Anakin is.
Anakin and Vader are both of the dualities in the force.
He is the representation of balance, The Chosen One.
Darth Vader may be a classic icon villain. But anakin Skywalker will always be the fan favorite redeem antihero that he truly deserves.
My man just dropped the best Anakin edit and thought we wouldn’t notice
Even not being as satisfied as I'd like to be with the current state of the franchise, this video made me admittedly emotional and gave me goosebumps and teary eyes at a few moments. You truly, beautifully encapsulate the conflict and troublesome journey of Anakin Skywalker and all of torment and turmoil inside his soul, but with a hint that the people around him, deceased or not, were always there to support him and strip away the evil and the lies of the dark side.
That was Phenomenal! He’s one of the greatest characters in all of Star Wars. One of the best edits I’ve seen! Anakin is the goat! 💙
Brilliant
Thank you for the kind words my friend!🙌🏼
Absolutely incredible! Great job!
What a compilation! An overview of not only Anakin himself, but his journey as the chosen one and the burdens it brought along the way, both in the light and the dark. Thank you for this!
Love you Anakin you are the best and you are the best characters in the Star Wars universe long live the chosen one
Amazing work. The way the music, Scenes and dialogues explain the whole Anakin’s story is poetic.
This is seriously the best tribute I have seen that is about Anakin Skywalker. Really well done man
This is masterpiece I ever seen🥹🥹
You did well in presenting Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
Thank you for your excellence. ❤❤
what a master piece!! incredible editing! eternal love to Star Wars!
It was stunning! The music, the dialogues... Amazing editing, really. Anakin is and always will be the most character ever 🖤
I have no words for this. I guess all I ask how did you made this masterpiece
cried multiple times. thank you
3:21 "but my caring for you will remain", then shows luke. omg, my heart broke into a million pieces. also: "live" / "i can't live without her", then "die" / "anakin is gone". superb! your edits are my favorite. they encapsulate everything perfectly, just right. makes me love star wars even more.
The story weaving is immaculate 👌
wow, absolutely wow the whole thing was like a flashback and gave so much goosebumps
I just felt a tear drop from my eye, amazing work!!
This is so amazingly done.
Literall Chills , awesome edit man , it perfectly sums up Anakin journey and redemption 🙏
Welcome to THE Star Wars edit.
AMAZING!! 🙏🏼😇
The parralels between those two shots is insane 2:10
The best Anakin edit on TH-cam along with "Anakin's Redemption"
I'm literally in tears 😭
This is absolutely incredible i got goosebumps everywhere! amazing work love it!
Literally got chills watching this
Well done
Stunning the way you brought the light out of the darkness in this edit. Ani is forever our GOAT! Bravo SWFT!!!
C'est magnifique
EPIC! Anakin Skywalker is one of the most "tragic" stories of redemption in cinematic history!
This is an absolute masterpiece 😭
I keep coming back to this, what you've created is one of the best edits I've seen, art man
I thought this was a ‘Anakin Skywalker’ movie trailer, but now I’m hoping this brilliant edit will nudge Disney to create a Anakin Skywalker movie 🍿 🚀
I watched the second half with tears in my eyes, this was amazing. Thank you and congrats for such an awesome video!!!
Best Star Wars tribute ever
Never saw this channel before. This was randomly shown to me, and I instantly got sucked into it. 6 minutes were gone in a flash lol, amazing work!
This is amazing. This is so much better than your first Anakin tribute I can’t even put it in words. Keep it up man, you are the best.
