How has this held up since this video?

I like my S150, & bought the 60W solar folding strip. I’ve learned now, that it is not strong enough to power the battery in a short time? Also, I need something I can use cooking with hot pots etc, that require 500+watts. Looking at the S500, it only goes to 350watts. Suggestions? I am a petite woman.

    great review, thank you.
Quick question, do you think you can watch TV for a few hours in an RV (connecting the TV only to the generator)?

It depends on how much power the TV draws but most these days have very low consumption. You can likely watch for many hours without an issue.

Just noticed that there's a $100 off instant coupon right now on Amazon for the G500 (making it $400 which is a great deal).

If you have a compressor fridge, it doesn't run the whole time, only when the temperature goes above the temperature set. In our case that's 2 degrees celsius. That averages for us to around 25% of the time. So we get, for example, 2 nights+ from the 12v plug with our WAECO CDF-36. You just have to be sure, that you set the auto shut-off on the fridge to "low", which is at about 10.2v. I can take the G500 down to about

Every refrigerator is different of course. Our Whynter 45G typically consumes 417Wh in 24 hours (depending on the outside temperature). That would kill the G500 in 24 hours and you'd have to run the engine for 14 hours to recharge it, hence our conclusion.
