Been a big fan of Ray Vendetta since his debut ep Guess Who's Coming To Dinner back in 2011. Rhyme Like and Warpspeed Ahead are still my most favourite tunes, they have magic about them, as does he. Looking forward to this interview 👑
Great interview. I feel what he’s saying at 11:10. Although it was 37 years ago, I vividly remember the moment I heard hip hop for the first time. Changed my life.
My brother in rhyme Rayzah! One of the most knowledgeable figures in the scene...constantly pushing me/us to create! Salute as always Blade 🙏🏼👊🏼♥️ we appreciate you and your analysis #NewGuardz 🫡
Yes Ray, Great to get some insight into the guy behind the music. I didn't know about Legions Of The North so gonna see if I can find some of the recordings anywhere in case anything has gone up online since then. Big up
Great interview big up Ray Vendetta (Redd Tune) Have the First Triple Darkness album. Been a fan since Ringz ov Saturn and Tesla were in Circle Makerz.
Ray big up what you doing and respect...gotta admire and honour you but drum and bass came before jungle, way before. I'm 50 years strong now and was there at the beginning in the late 80s listening to happy hardcore Which over the years transitioned into what you may call darker hardcore with heavier deeper bass lines and slightly slower BPMs, people at the time would regard this as drum n bass I remember going to the pacifically wanting to hear drum and bass instead of happy hardcore I loved every microsecond of it especially during the early 90s when I began to hear reggae sound clips or specifically dancehall sound clips of artists like supercut junior Reid Sheba, levy -The list goes on then I began to hear DJs coin in this music as jungle music followed by the white guys I used to rave with not liking it because they fought it was too black orientated, if only I had my flyers from back in the day from the late 80s and the very early 90s saying drum and bass/happy hardcore. Anyway, long and short jungle full of drum and bass.
