It's great to see these "old" clips again. Tommy looks so dignified and mature these days, but he can still make me laugh (and cry) and amaze me with his playing.
Yesterday, 30th december 2020, , the composer of Borsalino, Claude Bolling passed away...he was a great pianist, a great jazzman playing with the best musicians...and composed this great original sound track of the movie "Borsalino" with Jean-Paul Belmondo and Alain Delon
I just love seeing the early TE clips and even the ones from his electric days ... I have never seen anyone who gets as much joy from playing and entertaining people so much. He's Wonderful in every sense 💕❤️
@@sinatracann1591 Oh, yes, I used to go every July to the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society meetings and Tommy always played in the small meetings rooms around the lobby and sometimes in the lobby. Like this (I was standing right across from Tommy and watching every move). th-cam.com/video/svGpY8bsM7k/w-d-xo.html
I don't know how Tommy could ever improve on perfection but he always seems to do so. He gets better everytime I see him and the last time I saw him he was already the best in the world.
==== It is amazing with all of the details that is missed, unless you are raped with attention as a student studying and learning from the greatest finger style guitar player on the planet. No question about it. This video is proving it. You can see dozens of little movements and tricks that only an experienced musician can do without making a mistake. === Unbelievable. No wonder Eric Clapton said he is the greatest living guitarists on earth. One can see that as he has been playing since he was four years old professionally being paid at that age, and so is in the Guinness book of world records as the youngest paid musician when he played as a drummer in the family business in Australia. ====
Watching him smile while he plays and makes people laugh has got to be the most heart warming thing ever. This guy is doing what he came here to do
Well said
I have watch hundreds of hours of Tommy and I never hear him hit a wrong note or fumble.
He's a legend, and we're so fortunate to still have him alive today. Hope to go see him live in the near future.
Thanks to everyone for the positive comments. It's good to know SOMEONE is enjoying these videos. Stay tuned - MUCH MORE TO COME!!!
