So amazing to think a song he wrote for AVPM in college could be so amazingly applicable at the trevor project. Between this and coolest girl, darren criss could teach a class in self-esteem and anti-bullying to kids everywhere.
In a different performance at the Young Actor's theater camp he said that he wrote the song even before AVPM. It's amazing it fit for both AVPM and Trevor Project.

I think it's pretty incredible that he's performing a song that he, himself, wrote. The world knows he's handsome, he can sing, he can act, he can dance, he's a sweetheart. But how many knew that he's a talented songwriter as well? I'm so glad he got to share this with so many people outside of the Starkid and Glee fandoms. He's a true talent and class act, and you can tell that these words mean just as much to him as they do to the people who hear them. Bravo, Darren. And congratulations.

There's something else about Darren that makes him extra special. There's a certain sweetness that he exudes in his songs. Not only is his singing heart felt, it's very sweet. I guess that's why a lot of people fall in love with him when he sings.

I spent my 15th birthday in 2011 watching his Disney covers and just being amazed and falling hard in love with this beautiful humble incredible man.
