We are Ant, Hannah and Mabel the pup, full time artists living and working from our narrowboat home "The corridor" We have spent the last 9 years exploring the rivers and canals and the last two making and selling art from the boat.
In this weeks episode we decide to get our shoes on and get out of the boat. We visit The royal Pump house and Jefferson Gardens and the open studios there. We have a few mishaps, but we do manage to stumble across some inspiration.

Enjoyed my Sunday's Art in the Corridor fix! 🙏🏼 Good to take a break from things - now you have fresh ideas you might not have had otherwise! Zephyr Lounge in Leamington Spa is a cool music venue worth checking out. I supported Scott there a couple of times. Oh and as for the Magpies, 'One for sorrow and two for joy!' Yay! My grandparents said you had to salute a solitary magpie and say 'Good morning/afternoon general' to avoid bad luck! There's a song which references this by someone...🤔 Have a great week! x

I can’t imagine being a teenager at this time, it has its mega positives but it’s also creates detachment or diminishes the existence of those moments where you connect with others, those are the moments you remember later in life.

Ant, your printmaking reminds me so much of the wonderful Grosvener School of London with Sybil Andrews, Cyril E.Power, Claude Flight et al!!!
Ant hadn’t heard of the Grosvenor school until a few years ago when he was likened to the work created there. He then went on to research and discover Sybil Andrews work. He sees it as a big compliment 😊

I try not to think too much, but rather let it come to me, whether that be from my surrounding's or a subconscious thought, or a place to escape for a bit. I'll have to ask Ant what he thinks about he is stuck in a field with the very stubborn Mabel currently.
