At 2:00, he literally looks like your older brother from another mother!!..How can we be sure you are not biased?
WOW this is super cool, greetings from Mexico
im developing my own speakers to bring to the shelf so to speak, and i just love watching all your videos. you always try to find the passion behind each product
. Perhaps, for 2-channel music, people are finally realizing that a sub stuck in the corner is not the way to go. Adding a stereo pair of cabinets acting as replacement stands, with bass woofers at matching speed and efficiency to the existing mid-bass/midrange driver and then adding a crossover point & attenuator IS the way to go.

Off topic: Is it just me who feels that companies should be required to post a frequency response graph for their products in their websites? Aren't they measuring those speakers anyway? Why not just post the result, which will take just 5 minutes? Am I getting it wrong, or companies still think in 2024 we should not get enough information? I know frequency response graph doesn't tell everything, but it surely will tell us enough!
So many recommendations and hype on these I had almost thought of just pulling the trigger. Waited to see them this past weekend at AXPONA and was completely underwhelmed. Always good to know though that sometimes what you have at home is better than the next best thing. Thanks for the T-shirts though MON
You didn’t like any configuration of 11 sonic profiles?
I wonder how these stack up to the Børresen X3, which are $6K cheaper than this set/combo.
The X3 would be compared to the Platimon ?sp? by itself.
Its weird in that V1 is separate from the V2 but you need the V1 if you want to buy the V2.
To be fair... both the V1 and the X3 are on my personal short list.
BTW... I think anyone who got 'Hall Jacked' by Jay has guts to go on the video.
At least they're giving their honest opinions. (Which is one of the reasons I like Jay's videos.)
@@michaelsegel8758 I can't take the credit. I was covering the show so two of my crew member was responsible for the honest reactions from attendees
Good ad. Excellent marketing.
Very nice
They remind me of YG Acoustic speakers.
Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing
Is there a center channel? That would make these perfect!!!
I love be part of TH-cam videos🎉Thank you Jay! Great speakers. And those little ones, wow too!
Jay, went to look at the VC 1 and the price was $8K not $6K on Mon's site. The gentleman you were interviewing also mentioned the price of $6K. Am I misunderstanding something?
You forgot to take out the stands from the option on the website
They don’t stack up to the Borresensthe x3 drivers in another 2 levels far faster.better extended
The x3 isa solid $20kspeaker you can get for 1/2 that.
Went in there for the first time and they were playing the little red speakers. Forgot to come back as I was interested in hearing their other offerings. Oh well
Nice to see these. I am so sick of Chi-Fi crap it turns my stomach.
Tight
Why does it look so much like a YG? some of the basic should be similar. But great going to Mona acoustic
YG didn’t invent this look lol. Similar appearing speakers came way before YG.
It’s the copy culture. everything over there is copied from somewhere else.
Everybody wants to compare these to the Børrensen X3, and I understand the flash and sizzle factor of the Børrensens but really wonder how folks will feel about the X3s after having them in-house for a few months. From what I've heard at shows, I would guess that these are prime candidates to be fatiguing over time. A more apples to apples comparison with the X3s might be some of the Perlisten offerings.
Jay did mention that he would love to buy a pair of Borresens
Heard the Borrensen twice at shows and had the exact same impression.
Thoughts on this for Theater applications?? L/R channels
why not? I think they'd be great
So you have to buy both the VC 1 and 2 to get the full 'stack' as it were. So at least 17K.......plus jumpers if you upgrade those. Getting very expensive. Basically must compare to speakers like the Totem Metal v2 since basically same price, etc.
Hi, Mon Acoustic here. PlatiMon VC speakers are considered floostanding speakers. While other brands are competiting in over $20k price range, we want to offer more approachable range. 😉
Form Voltron!
Where are they made ?
South Korea
I went to the web site and the price of the stands is crazy. It was a turn off for me. I don't care what it sounds like. Price gouging is a no go.
I don't understand the whole this speaker performs better than speakers that cost xx amount. I'm not suggesting it can't but the big elephant in the room is, well, the room. It arguably makes up at least 50% of what you hear.
Just like every other speakers demonstrated at the show.
Not sure we're your coming from.
Aren’t videos like these supposed to be marked as „paid advertising“ ?
hi it is marked. I guess you missed it. Thanks
That's weird add bass to a bookshelf speaker and it's better.😂
I bet this measures worse than the standmount model with the extra tweeter being so far away from the midrange drivers!
And that would tell you what about how they sound?
Your limited knowledge is stifling. It’s not meant to be a conventional tweeter, as there is already one in the stand mount. The harmonic tweeter is meant to be a super tweeter/ambience tweeter that can be mounted in nonstandard location. Some speaker have them in the back.
@@Audiofreak71Ikr. It’s the typical GR Research thinking that many audiophiles fall into. Frequency response is a limited parameter that poorly correlates with overall perceived sound.
@@Audiofreak71most likely quite a bit .

They actually sounded nice. (Honestly I forget which ones I heard.)
But they are outside my price point and not wife approved. The V1 or the minis are contenders.
I wonder if they'll send a speaker set to Erin for a review. My gut tells me that they will do alright in the measurement area.
I think he said the Ones were $6k but their web site says $8k.
there are different options to remove the stands then $6000
Nice whenever a speaker company thinks outside of the box. After the KEF Blade 2, this is the most interesting speaker I have seen recently. If I understand the concept, the “super tweeter “ should be thought of as more of an ambience tweeter. Operating from 25Khz and up, this driver is not operating in the frequency range normally associated with super tweeters which may explain why there is no need for time alignment or location close to the tweeter on the top unit.
The questions that immediately come to mind are: 1) are plugs supplied for the ports on the top unit? 2) Why have manual controls instead of DSP to change between modes? What is the advantage of this setup? 3) Why only one 8” woofer? I would expect dual 8” drivers or a single 10” driver.
@@ccdccd8615DSP distorts frequencies around your target frequency as it is digitally changing, these are completely analog as I understand. They have different crossover that controls the ports per configuration and that’s part of design. I guess no one can stop whether you utilize the ports or block them per your taste.
You should ask the designer why he used one 8”. My gut tells me, due to the price point and the complexity of 5 way configuration.
That tweeter in the bottom module is stupid. Looks ridiculous.
That could be the least important problem.
I was there. Doesn’t matter what it looks like. Sounded very good.
These speakers measures poorly.
???
Really? Why do you say that?
Jay, how does VC One compare to the Mofi Sourcepoint 10? Can you do a comparison video?

Looks nice, I wonder what YG thinks….
