I love seeing Gardevoir put in work. It's the one Pokemon that I *_ALWAYS_* try to get on my team ASAP whenever the Ralts line is available in a given Pokemon game. As such, Gardevoir was a staple member of my team in Gen 9, as my primary team upon completion of the base game consisted of Gardevoir, Ceruledge (Grass Tera), Gallade, Tyranitar, Garchomp, & Gastrodon. Once I got into Teal Mask my team changed slightly by swapping out Tyranitar for Hisuian Zoroark, Gallade for Iron Valiant, & Garchomp for Hisuian Liligant. And then once Indigo Disk came out my team changed again with me swapping out Liligant for Ogerpon, Zoroark for Terapagos, & Gastrodon for Archaludon. I don't really care if a Pokemon is considered "OP" or anything, I just play with whatever Pokemon I like the most. And while I would certainly swap out individual members for a specific battle if necessary, for the most part I used the same team of Pokemon. Gardevoir & Ceruledge were the only constant and unchanging members of my team, I would swap out the other four as needed. And I used Gardevoir & Ceruledge to great effect in the double battle against Ryme, as Gardevoir focused on support with moves like Life Dew while Ceruledge stacked Swords Dances and then swept Ryme's team with an occasional Shadow Ball from Gardevoir.
Okay, picking who you have to switch too is too strong, as seen here its a free kill. Forcing a switch or telling what's being swapped to etc okay - But insta-ko debatably the strongest mon is just shitty
Then we battle idea: Vibe check Ask the other person any non game related questions about their starters and they have to rank the starters based on the question. Don't give any reasons why. Do that only after they have chosen. Example 1: Starter: Macargo (left), Conkeldurr (middle), Hitmontop (right) Question: Which starter would be the best cook? Answer: The best cook would be probably the right Pokemon. And the left Pokemon would be the worst cook My reasoning: Macargo is soooooo hot it would instantly burn the food, so that it's inedible. Conkeldurr would be good at some foods, but wouldn't know mediating and use too much of everything. Example 2: Starter: Charmeleon (left), Hawlucha (middle), Cacturne (right) Question: Which Pokemon would most likely become US President? Answer: The left Pokemon would most likely become President. The middle Pokemon would be unlikely to become President. Reasoning: Cacturne would be a third party candidate for the greens. But Luchadores are mexican wrestlers and the President has to be american. Therefor Hawlucha is unlikely. That makes Charmeleon by default the most likely.
Fun fact: 309 bst fire is NOT unique to mander...as Cyndaquil has that exact same bst and typing and in fact has identical stat distribution to mander.... Amusingly 4 mons with 309 bst, 3 of em are fire starters... Charmander, Cyndaquil, and Chimchar... 4th is phantump
I just look at all move with F and they are insane Fracture/ Haxorus with Foul Play, Flying Press, flip turn, flower trick, fake out, facade- Yeah you dont get stab but Rivalry Fake out then flip turn? You are doing more than half the health and you take zero damage
Another version of this. You both buy 10 booster packs and your team must consist of the higher rarity or holo cards. If you get a Trainer card in the same pack you get to pick the Ability otherwise it's Random. If you pull a non holo Legend you get to give a pokemon an Illegal Move.
Honestly, this team overview is better than showing it after each pick-catch. I would fall asleep for overviewing Pokémon one-by-one instead of a whole team. You know, I prefer the team overview as a whole. It felt really good as when you have prepared strategies before the battle, I’m okay with that.
Not a fan of the free switch at all, especially when you pick your opponent's switch. Makes the battle uninteresting. Click Shell Smash and win because I choose in who you go? No thank you. Props for the creativity though

Great video, but on the team rundown by Pat, I was finding it difficult to keep up. Not sure if you're talking at 300 mph or there were cuts in the video, but it was difficult for me to keep up with haha
I beat my friend on Showdown once going for the triple protect. We each were down to our last mons and his was toxic'd but could one shot me so I had to stall. He's starting his ggs when I hit protect the second time then he laughed and the laughter stopped when the third one worked and his mon died it was amazing
I usually love your unique take on challenges. Just really dislike the “buff” where you can decide he needs to switch and make a bad play. Makes me not want to watch.

I am surprised patterrz won the second match because gengar died and i thought gengar was the ace but i was wrong when drednaw wore the hat and got out the broom and swept all 6 pokemon down by that single pokemon without an item and shady didn't even use mew in the second one
I really hate the forced switch. Buffs and nerfs are one thing but forcing your opponent to switch out and even to a mon you decide just takes out the strategy.
So that's the real reason he went Bald. He was too stressed for the Dreadnaw or pulled all of his hair out because he couldnt use Mew... It all makes sense now
