with all due respect morty is definitely not weak he's just not as strong as the top tiers rn and i personally he's in a near perfect place balance wise (i do think mud wall should get a rework though it promotes and rewards people for being way too passive), i could just be a nincompoop though
That’s not a good outlook though, cause he is easily under characters like WW, Shaggy, and Bugs. And these are characters that aren’t really gunna be touched anymore as PFG’s has said about these kind of characters they want them to be “easy to pick up” aka really strong. So these are the characters we should be setting as our “baseline” for where nerds should leave characters and Morty is very far under that with all his recent nerfs. Not as busted as BA but also not getting thrown into the old velma zone of all players finding the character useless

If BA and joker are still our S tiers WW is easily a A tier. Morty is a case of PFG making a move set, then deciding that move set isn’t fair and making the character feel really bad, his down special is no longer used by any mortys same as you seen her Ver’s vid, and as he has said so many times morty has like no options except side air, snake gun and grenade combos. Tons of useless moves while characters like super man have way to many options to easily overwhelm and punish aggression. Saying Morty is better then WW is such a wild take. WW can still easily just be aggressive with over shield, use side special to do the same, then just use down attack on edge to have a unbeatable edge guard.

You have the "That's Flammable Doc" perk, but you aren't capitalizing. The stun gun shots let you ignite the opponent whether it's on cool down or not. Start shooting opponents with the small shots to keep the "rainbow head" on them. Even if you're just running away, if you can land a shot and then land any hit, you'll ignite them. You could be pulling in an extra 80-100 damage every stock. Try going to practice mode and just do shot, hit, dodge).
yeah usually i play pretty low on the tier list in competitive games. kirby, patrick(?), jake (not in early access i think but now his hands are bridget yo-yo), and pat fusty. mario kart 8 deluxe is an exception though, before they did balance changes i mained a cosmetically pleasing Yoshi's Woolly World set (Aqua Yoshi, Teddy Buggy, Cushion Wheels, Waddle Wing) and then they did buffs and that became the best set in the game, and still remains one of the best ones I think. People complain about Morty for the same reason people complain about Kazuya in tekken. Theyre B tier characters at best but require 10x harder execution to be good compared to the rest of the roster. That means most good Mortys are gonna be great players in general
