There's a certain poety tragedy behind Gamma dying with no one to see.
I think you missed one crucial aspect of Gamma's death: No one saw it happen aside from the birds he freed. No one mourned him. It's hard to explain, but I think that's a big aspect of what made Gamma's death so special, as it was truly altruistic. The only witnesses to his heroism were those who absolutely needed to be there.
It doesn't really come off as something that was missed so much as purposely changed for the sake of the concept of the video.
There will never be another Sonic character like Gamma... We only knew him for one game (2 if you count him as a secret character in Sonic Shuffle), and yet he had so much character and development in that short time-frame that we all grew attached to him, so much so that when he eventually dies, I genuinely cried. He truly was a robot with a soul. As much as I'd love for Gamma to make a return, I feel that really would undermine what made him such a memorable character.
He technically did in Sonic Battle for GBA as Chaos Gamma but didn't return since...

Agreed Gamma was such a wonderful Character and had a spectacular Story. and I agree they shouldn't bring him back.....Kinda wish Shadow was given this much Respect 😒
I feel like they could bring him back, but it'd be like a alternative timeline where he didn't die. It'd be a one time spin off deal. That's just my idea.

I love the emotion that you gave by allowing Amy in the scene! Characters, especially sonic characters, should be allowed to show more emotion like this!

Man, I literally cried at the end when playing Gamma's story in Sonic Adventure. The fact he had to destroy all of his brothers, and then get destroyed in the end, was really emotional for me. And now seeing this, the way he reached out for Amy, as if wanting her to save him, just...damn...I actually got a bit teary eyed at this.
Like how this took elements from Sonic X as well as the original game. Kinda seems weird that Amy remained blissfully unaware about the fate of Gamma.

Actually, he shot him, because he could be free too! Beta realised what Gamma was doing and fred him too!
During the Xbox days of Phantasy Star Online I created a HuCast version of Gamma. He still had a gun, but he was reborn as a swordsman and defends the people who could not defend themselves. He does cut down Dark Falz by the end of the story of Episode 1, but was cursed by the beast to reincarnate endlessly fighting any form of Dark Falz, but remembers everyone he loses through every incarnation with a complete set of human emotions and reliving all the friends, loves and more without any loss of memory.
He wants to finally be at peace, but he knows that Dark Falz will destroy everything he cares about without him. The only thing that keeps him going is fighting in the memory of the people he has lost.
That's RAD!
The scene would have been more powerful if Amy was there. I'm glad you added her this was pretty well animated and emotional.
Of all the Sonic Adventure stories, Gamma's is definitely the best
... How sad that we don't see Omega interacting with Amy, like he's an upgraded version of Gamma but he's also his very own individual... Would have been quite interesting if Omega had memories of Gamma somehow...
Omega does reference Beta and Gamma if you get an E rank as Omega taking control in Sonic Heroes.
But I agree. Omega and Amy never interacted. Heck, we see Sonic interact with Chaos Gamma in Sonic Battle (Which Sonic mistakes for Gamma, unaware he even died) but not Amy, just like Team Rose and Team Dark never interact in Heroes.

Honestly,I'd kill for a return of Gamma,seeing him perhaps be reconstructed or something along the lines of that. His whole character reminds of Android 16's plot.
I'm fond of Gamma too but I think his story has already been told. Having him appear again would ruin the point of his sacrifice. A reference or a cameo would be cool though. Thanks for watching!

I know it's just a fan animation but part of what makes his death so impactful & so cool is that no one is there to see it, and this kind of defeats the purpose

Nice to see a version where Amy got to witness his sacrifice, seeing as she was a big part of his reformation. I'd like if Gamma was brought back to Tails and rebuilt with, say, a Chaos Drive or other power source.

I noticed that it was mentioned that even though Gamma died in "Sonic Adventure," his shell still remained and his inner part could have been replaced.

This made me cry more than E 102s actual death scene in the game! Imagine if she got there in time to watch him die right before she fights ZERO, that would have been so much more emotional!
I also have this little theory that Gamma is in Sonic Prime, because the Flicky he had inside him was pink, and the one that Amy has with her is also pink.
It's probably not true, but you never know. It's fun to speculate.
I honestly still call the pink flicky Kokoro/Heart cause of Sega Scourge making sense of a robot with a _"Heart"_ on what if E-102 Gamma survive part 2 and 3
This would honestly be a GREAT addon to the timeline of SA1, where Amy comes in right as Gamma dies. And then that gives her the push to defeat ZERO.
and to think the only surviving e-series robot is violence first, when you had gamma who was also rather violent but had a heart.

Although the Idea of Gamma’s Sacrifice being completely unnoticed and unseen by the other characters is tragic, I still also like the Sonic X version too.

Exactly! The importance of Gamma as a character and why his sacrifice is important, is quite deep indeed. I think one gets the whole picture as we grow up to understand how he felt at the moment of realizing that he had to die and kill his siblings to free them from Eggman's chain, and for the life within them to escape. And also having in mind that Gamma had to give up his consciousness and his very first friend: Amy, for this to happen. I don't think I made it justice in this particular animation; looking back I could have done a better job at demonstrating this internal struggle. Maybe in the future I'll make another attempt with a bigger scope so I can show the events and feelings in a more meaningful way. Thanks for watching!

I never used to see Gamma's death as him sacrificing himself to save his bird. Much like Rundas' death in Metroid Prime 3, it wasn't made clear whether or not he shut himself down.

Despite the chaos the series can have (hehe), some characters will always leave an indisputable impact on people. Gamma is certainly among them

In a way, yes! He had a self-repair system, so he could have easily repaired himself from the damage. But he did not. He was aware that his existence, was someone else's suffering (the flicky's) so he decided to end himself, (by not using the self-repair system)so that both him and the Flicky could be free from this torture.

Only Amy Rose can convince a robot to abandon its programming and betray its master. Why Sega makes her look like an obnoxiously obsessive and possessive fan girl with a yandere complex is a total waste of a good character that’s suppose to be Sonic’s character foil and counterpart.
Have you seen the new Sonic games and IDW comics? The Sonic obsessed stalker characterization of Amy has basically been abandoned since Sonic Boom.

You know Tails could revive Gamma with memories what ever memory an remains left of him them again I feel like Omega is the rebuild Gamma be it with lack of memory but hatred for Eggman an his creations plus the Gamma like enemies with no memory of Gamma’s mission an Amy being it’s friend~

@@Atraelin a way, Gamma and Flicky Are connected, so basically without flicky, there is no Gamma. So a reconstruction would be impossible at all. Tails could rebuild him from zero tho. An entire new Gamma. But that would miss the entire thing's point.

Sonic X and Sonic Adventure are different but depict the same events. What I did here is kinda mix both, since it was a little sad that Amy never got to see Gamma in the game before his death, yet I liked the atmosphere and music of the game better. Thanks for watching!

Oh I didn't like this animation that much looking back at it, but thanks! I do think the current Sonic models need to be replaced with more stylized, expressive ones. Not a redesign, just sharper edges and more personality like the Sonic Channel drawings.

@@gamebowl yeah xdd, though the CGI model does look better than the in-game model. But yeah they just need to experiment maybe with slightly different artstyles and get rid of the Sonic Frontiers in-game model and give him more expressions period 💕
