  • Serverless? VMs? Containers? Yes, Google Cloud has services providing all of those... but how to decide which to use? This talk answers that question.
There are many different ways to run your code. Additionally, the tradeoffs are different when you’re working with existing systems as opposed to designing an entirely new system. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) offers solid support for the full spectrum of compute models, whether you are using managed GCP offerings or open-source technologies such as Kubernetes, Knative, and more. Come learn how to navigate the trade-offs and decide which models are the best fit for your systems as well as how the models map to Google Cloud services - whether Compute Engine, Container Engine, Cloud Run, App Engine, and/or Cloud Functions.

Google absolutely needs to highlight this video. It's one of the most useful things I've ever seen from any cloud provider.

THIS is what architects and programmers need to hear..... I was lost in Google Coud documentation, and this gives a great overview. Thank you!

By far the best explanation for Kubernetes that I have heard instead of complicating it too much. Makes perfect sense when you explained the application and use cases and saving money.

This video definitely makes it easy to understand in compute selection! Please make more content like this.

I never watch such a great, complete and clear explaination about GCP's compute options in a single place. You compare and contrast main aspects of each and from different angles - all on the same video. The information about compute in offical Google documentation are scattered across the whole GCP website, furthermore; they talked about Cloud Run as Serverless in one place, in another place they say it is Statelss, and in other places they mention containers, it was so confusing until I watch this video. Thank you very much indeed.

Though many details presented here are perceive and believe from documentation sources, it makes it authoritative when presented as a talk. thanks for taking time and doing this video, It helps a lot, especially it simplifies lot of reading into a nutshell, and reinforces the reading.

I wasn't expecting this video content to be as good as it was. Definitely underrated.

Boy do I love your simple explanation...It made the nightmarish labyrinth of GCP almost something I could figure out. I was about to bail on GCloud until I saw this vid and will now track down all your others.
