Thank you for your comment but these are practical suggestions for people who are on the visa. Better to be careful based on the previous experience from the first admin term
For anyone who is considering going to Canada for stamping, keep yourself updated on the strike by Canada Post. Your passport is usually delivered back to Canada post (you can choose a pick up location). Since Canada Post is on a strike currently, you might have to wait for longer than 1-2 weeks in Canada.
As much as I want, I do not think per country cap will be removed. Canada does not have per country cap and 70-80% of their new PRs are people of Indian origin, and there seems to be pretty negative pushback against that starting to happen. Province of Quebec is actually considering US style country caps but it will cause Charter Rights challenge. Not arguing 1 way or the other. Just agreeing with Mandar here. It won’t be that simple, and a situation with no country caps if taken to other extreme does not lead to ideal situations either….
@@av98issue with Canada is pr and not the sponsorship. In Canada you can't sponsor your siblings only your parents and that is too limited and lottery based
Also, for anyone applying for visitor visa for Canada, Canada has stopped giving automatic 10 year multi entry visa like US and made it like EU. Specific to your visit and with specific start and end dates. Visa officer can make that choice case by case. So please do your research and apply accordingly with enough days to spare….
Thanks Mandar for your insights and information. It would be great if you provide more details about work permit visa challenge extensions like L1 A, B.
Per country GC quota will not be removed. I wonder why a seasoned immigration expert like Mandar giving such false hopes Even using the word “maybe” is not possible in this case as it is almost impossible to remove per country quotas for GC. It is a rule set in stone. Recently Canada also started getting rid of immigrants after they realized they don’t have per country quota in place.
Can't argue with your comment given the history. As I explained in the video the "per country cap" is not supported by anybody other than the backlog community
Thanks for the sharing your thoughts. Will there be any change in state side stamping. Not able to track anything in this. If outside US stamping gets slowdown state side stamping might help.
If you have gotten your h1b for the first time, stamping has to be done only in consulate of your native country. Only h1b extension stamping can be done at consulate not in the country of nationality
Thank you for informational videos . I have been following your channel since its inception and it is very informative. I have my GC and will be eligible for Citizenship in a couple of years . Do you think if there will be any challenges for GCs to convert to citizens.
Hi Mandar, my question is related to concurrent processing of parent's GC: Can my us citizen daughter file an I-130 petition without filing an I-485 to adjust my status, so I can remain on H-1B and keep my 15-year-old son in H-4 status? (At the same time us citizen daughter will file my H4 wife's GC in a concurrent processing mode so that my wife can sponsor my 15 years old son in F2A category)
Hi Mandar, My H1B is expired and my I-797 petition is expiring in Sep 2025. Company says i can file extension 8 month earlier. Considering it's in the middle of the year, i am planning to file in premium in Jan-Feb 2025. If company says no to filing in premium then i am planning to going back to India permanently as if visa is rejected in the middle of year then it will create problem for my daughter's school year. BTW..My I140 is approved in 2017 and priority date is May2017.
Thanks for the great content here. Im somehow mixed with the per country cap thing. It make sense that it should be fair for all countries but I think if you look at it from revenue standpoint- India generates more with h1b applications, extensions, preimium processing and Green cards applications and even tax compared to ROW. Looking from this angle I think there should be some benefit given back to Indian people in path to gc. India in immigration is like bcci of cricket. Hoping for best for all of us.

Thanks Mandar I appreciate your key insights very valuable. I have my I140 approved under EB1C category ( L1A ) visa under India from last 10 months, what’s your view on the impact on the priority dates for EB1C with new administration coming up in USA, any thoughts please share. Thanks , Aditya
Long time subscriber here. I would say these kind of hypothetical situation videos are not needed especially when people are nervous.

Agreed. Removing county cap will just create the mess like Canada is in. There will be Brampton and Surrey all across USA

Can we apply for h1b extension more than 6 months in advance? My case doesn’t fall in amendment case and extension only due in Nov next year.

Hi Mandar - Can H1 extensions be filed 6 months prior to expiration current H1B status?

Thanks mandar for per country cap info

What do you expect about NIW in the new administration? Also, is it okay to file for NIW while on F1?

The country quota will not be removed. It is not the main agenda even from Democrats & Republicans. It is just hope and day dream.
Hi Mandar,
How you can bre reached to ask question or get you opinion...1-on-1 rather than the open platform...
Hey Mandar, Great updates as always. Do you see the EB2 India priority date moving anytime soon?
As per the existing policies with per country quota its not worth for Indians to come to USA for either studies or for job to USA
Thank you for the information
Great information always!!!

Mandar bro, that coffee machine needs to be cleaned out or replaced…

There is no such thing as transfer of H1b, it’s a misnomer. Every h1b petition is treated as a new petition.
