Jethro was a good sport about the revving. And he looked like he wanted to grab the wheel and drive ❤
Good video and some real tips replacing that fuel tank!

I use that quiksteel on a leaky gas tank and it's sealed it right up it was leaking pretty good and stuff worth every penny awesome video thank you for the video
Well, I do like your projects and channel. I’m from Louisiana. We do your kinda projects daily. That was funny your boy on the back of van haulin. Let him feel that RPM! Lol
Awesome video God Bless you and your family Amen
Very informative and light hearted, Great job
i've had to do the 2x4 method a few times with t-cases and transmissions in the past, its true, there is wisdom in the old school methods, yeah the new stuff, jacks and such, can be labor savors, they also tend to get in the way more than they help at times, and sometimes you cant beat a good old 2x12 and a hydraulic floor jack for removing a transmission, or a stack of 2x4s for installing a 90+lb transfer case in a 4x4, i'd never thought of using roof tape to be honest as a rub isolator, is it Beutyl rubber? or what is the material its made of? in the past i used old intertube cuttings or expired rad hoses that had blown out that i cut up and made into rub rails, but the tape seems like it would be a whole lot easier to deal with, and will more likely stay where you put it, unlike the hose cuttings, stay safe out there man, the van is lookin' sweet
I use the lowes zip tape not sure what type it is. All I know is my friend has a jeep that we taped the floors in with it when we ran out of auto calking. It survived 8 years on the Maine roads and passed every inspection. Rustoleum paint and under body rubberier both stick to it very well.
@@redneckcomputergeek i'll have to keep my eyes peeled for some of this stuff, a friend of mine is about to redo the floors in a courier that has some sizeable rust holes that he's started to patch but automotive seam sealer for some reason seems to be hard to find lately, i'll send him the info, might also use some on my jeep when i rebuild my engine to replace some of the soft seals that are nolonger made (firewall bulkhead passthrough for HVAC lines), i don't want to use expanding foam for obvious reasons, temp fix was literally gorilla tape and some blue shop towels stuffed into the massive gap as an air/moisture barrier, good to hear it holds up quite well
More interested in your thought process than anything, but would it have been worthwhile to stuff a junkyard medium duty truck tank under the corner of the bed? (the kind that normally sit under the door with an integrated step)
Since I live in farm country, steel truck tanks are plentiful and aluminum ones hold up to corrosion well.
The entire build other then bumpers and t track on the bed is Junk yard. Nothing special just get out and go build something. Yes a rear mount aluminum tank would be the perfect choice for this build. But that also gets into dealing with adapting the ford proprietary fuel lines ends and extending all the wiring. Is it doable yes. But cost wise still is in the $300 range.
U just said not to shack gasoline an u just did I don't have that tool I got another one that slides up the line an it pops the line
3:40, that fuel nozzle definitely looks like something all biological men have, lol
I think you used 12 blocks .

Makes it a lot easier when you have room to get to all the fittings LOL. Too bad automakers don't figure that crap out during the design process and build stuff for ease of service and repair....the design team should be required to go out and work on the garbage they design, as well as the finance team, then and only then we might see vehicles that you can actually work on without having to dismantle half the car for a $5 repair LOL.
I had the TFI (ignition module) in my Ranger fail a couple weeks ago. Ordered the part, then proceeded to use every cuss word in existence while changing it out....seriously Ford, you couldn't have put the module in a much easier location to access than the back of the distributor against the firewall LOL. In the process of installing the new TFI module, I lost one of the screws...so it has 1 screw holding it in and the other side is safety wired LOL...its a temporary fix....meaning the next time I replace the TFI module it'll get safety wired too LOL.
Yah the PCM on a ford 2.3l is in a very dump spot. I replaced a bunch of them over and over tell I realized I could relocate it with a giant ground wire.
I wouldn’t mind access plates for fuel pumps in the bed of my truck from factory. They do make fasteners that fit flush. I guess that would cost them $20 to do?
no one can touch my lucky charms... LOLOL I like cats... they taste just like chicken....
Wait...what?
