খুলনায় রেল সেতুর সাথে ধাক্কায় রূপসা নদীতে সিমেন্ট তৈরির কাঁচামাল বোঝাই লাইটার জাহাজ ডুবে যাওয়া ঘটনায় উদ্ধার কাজ এখনও শুরু হয়নি।
বৃহস্পতিবার রাত ২টার দিকে ডুবে যায় এমভি সেভেন সার্কেল-২৩। জাহাজটিতে ১ হাজার ১৭৫ টন সিমেন্ট তৈরির কাঁচামাল রয়েছে। জাহাজের সুকানি ইমাম হোসেন লিটু ও গ্রীজার অমিত কুমার শীল জানান, মংলা বন্দরের হারবাড়িয়া এলাকা থেকে সিমেন্ট তৈরীর কাঁচামাল নিয়ে রূপসায় সেভেন রিংস সিমেন্ট ফ্যাক্টরির দিকে যাচ্ছিলো জাহাজটি। পথে রূপসা রেল সেতুর সঙ্গে ধাক্কা লেগে কিনারে এসে জাহাজটি ডুবে যায়। এসময় জাহাজে থাকা ১৩ কর্মচারীকে জাহাজ কর্তৃপক্ষের ২টি ট্রলার এসে উদ্ধার করে তীরে উঠায়। এরই মধ্যে ফায়ার সার্ভিস, কোস্টগার্ড ও নৌ পুলিশ সদস্যরা ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেছে।

On the way, the ship collided with the Rupsha Railway Bridge and sank. At that time, 2 trawlers of the ship's authority rescued 13 employees on the ship and brought them to the shore. In the meantime, members of the Fire Service, Coast Guard and Naval Police have inspected the scene.
