Yeah, I always wondered why Dragonair, this beautiful, blue, sleek serpent with elegant wings evolves into a fat dragon with stubby arms and legs and tiny mini-wings. Lots more power, sure... but at what cost?
I always a little subscribed to the theory that Gyarados and Dragonite had their final forms switched at one point. That the roundish Orange Magikarp was meant to evolve into the round orange dragon and the long, sleek, blue Dragonair was meant to evolve into the long blue, admittedly more fierce looking Dragon
They're both based on myths, and their evolutions reflect the myths
@@hillrp1 its wrong. Magikarp is based on a myth of a bunch of fish trying to jump over a waterfall and they all gave up except 1 who eventually got over and turned into a dragon. Magikarp would be this weak fish but if u work hard u can turn it into the dragon(gyarodos)

I don't know if you're been going through a break up or something, there are rough times, sometimes you're up, sometimes you're down, but you gotta keep going and get over the obstacles, in the case you're tired, I suggest you to go somewhere and relax(your happy place)somewhere you go alone and nobody bothers you(no friends or distractions), and think about what you've done until now, and think about solutions you could pull off, if there's nothing you can do about it, then think who COULD do, if there's nobody, then maybe you should look over other problems and repeat, then having another perspective, that helps me all the time
Oh no sorry if you got worried it's just that that song always gets me to feel a bit sad, but in a good way it helps me let thing out sense I tend to not show much of a natural reaction to thing that happens and that song has kind of become a way to let out thing if I have something lingering so, no need to worry

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Gastly/Haunter/Gengar were supposed to be dead people, then they ret-conned it in Gen 7 in Alola where the Pokedex entry said they are made up of gases from decomposing corpses that are improperly buried or something.

10:15 turns out you can. Yep. Pokemon manga, Bulbasaur siphoned, literally siphoned a flying gastly that was controlling the corpses of dead pokemons before ejecting it into ball of energy. Literally killed it.
Bit late, but well Mimikyu can die, The Anime has the ghost of a Mimikyu in it. So even if you ignore the manga which shows brutal murder, There's an instance of ghost types being able to die
@@FroststormFrenzy wait, so ghost types can have ghosts. And yamask/cofagrigus are the ghosts of humans, as are a few other ghost types. So a human can die, turn into a ghost type then die as a ghost type, and turn into an actual ghost of that ghost type. Weird.

The anime notably featured a Mimikyu that had died and become a actual ghost, key differences being it could float and it couldn't touch anything. 14:58 True, kinda. Many evolutions of the original Pokémon are not quite clear unless you know the origin of Pokémons' design or the artistic choice of the origins of its appearance. In general, many just become larger from the first form, or Pokémon has similar appearances to a real-life animal, like many Bug type Pokémon (in development are similar from caterpillar/larva stage to adult stage), like Burmy evolve into Wormadam, if female, and into Mothim, if male (There NEED be more these kind of evolutions as they're only one that does that :( ). But sometimes pokémon's evolution is toyed with words, like for example a gun evolve into a cannon, As an example, Remoraid evolve into Octillery.

Now that I think about it I think I know the reason why ghost types evolve because there's other ghost type collects or eat souls so there are ghost types that eating each other. They have to evolve to survive that.

This reminds me of going to visit one of my friends. When I met her parents she for some reason decided to tell them how good I am at Pokémon (good from the perspective of a casual player who doesn't know all their type matchups). The one thing her dad knew was a meme about a "fish thing" wondering what it was going to evolve into and being disappointed to become an octopus. That's how I knew Remoraid and Octillary would be here.
