      Thiago Garcia its amazing. love it. the bluetooth was tricky but i upgraded the software and was up and running. using piano partner2 combined with an app called piano 3d, using the blutooth connection is absolutely divine and gives u player piano songbook!

      meagan taylor Cool! And about the keys, they are great? Do you have/had other digital piano before,to do a comparison?
      I want the Roland HP603 but is too expensive, so the F140 could be great. But I want a great keyboard to play classical pieces!

    • @meagansedivy5486
      @meagansedivy5486 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do not have a lot of experience with other digital pianos. I played on a few kawai digitals in the piano store. The roland has a better feel than those, in my opinion. when playing the f140 the weighted keys are very comparable to an acoustic piano. The sound coming out of this piano is simply fantastic. I think u would love it for classical.

    • @Thiago-px9ev
      @Thiago-px9ev 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      meagan taylor Yes! A good price for a good piano, thats enough for me. If I wont buy the HP603, the F140 will be "the guy". I will trust in Roland's quality because I cant play any model in a showroom :/

    • @InternetStorm
      @InternetStorm 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My guess would be that wherever he talks, the video switches from direct audio recorded from the piano's headphone jack, to the audio recorded from the camera. This causes a noticeable volume change because they made the camera audio louder so you can hear him more clearly. Whenever it switches from the direct piano audio to the camera's audio, you can hear the sound of the notes fading coming from the speakers.

      Hi Eshan, they are both a different style of piano. The FP50 is suitable as a stage piano whereas the F140 is relaly designed as a home piano not really suited to being taken to gigs etc. Certainly the FP50 has a lot more features by way of more backing styles etc

      +Subhasis Ray Hi, Very similar Subhasis, both use Roland's supernatural piano sound. The FP50 has more features on board in terms of backing styles and also is a portable piano. If you like the FP-50 you will like the F-140, though the FP-50 is a different style of piano . Hope this helps.

      +Rudi Zarka thanks a lot for the information. i am divided between fp 80, fp 5p, f 140r from roland and ce220 and es7/8 from kawai for playing in my condo. i played for five years on a kawai acoustic (which was often out of tune) and a few months on an yamaha grand. So the physical feel of the keyboard is most important me. I tried a few at a piano sale and roland hp504 felt best (compared to yamahas) to my hands, but beyond my budget. so i guess i should go to a shop and try them out. any suggestion much appreciated.

    Greetings Rudi! Fabulous playing. Looking to get a rid of a Yamaha console upright acoustic that won't hold a tune anymore and moving to a digital piano. It would be primarily for my son who has taken to the piano quite well (lessons through his school). Would you recommend the F-140R, DP-603, or HP-603? Thanks in advance! Also, I'm quite in love with the old Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer EP sounds. Do the Rolands replicate those fairly well?

    First just wanna tell you that it's a great video!
    And I've a question, is this piano "touch" quite similar to an acoustic piano touch? I used to play piano for like 8 years on a real piano and i'm scared about the potential changes of playing style.. I play a lot of things like classical,jazz etc ... and it's really hard to make a choice cause I can't test different pianos to see the differences between them..

      Hi Yann, Yes it is. It uses a fully weighted and graded hammer mechanism. Although the action is very good , if you are an advanced player you may well want to look at the HP-603 or above as these use an action that is more responsive again. That being said, if the HP603 is not in your budget you certainly wont be dissapointed with the F140. Cheers, R

    hi. we decided to buy a digital piano for our 7 years old son, who just started to learn playing piano. We just dont know what to choose and i want to ask you for an advice. In your opinion, what is more suitable for home playing in terms of authenticity of sound and feel of keys, what is closer to "normal piano" . Roland RP401, HP506 or Yamaha CLP 525/535. Thanks for an advice

    • @funkmeisterRude
      @funkmeisterRude 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Juraj Janco Hi, ,All the models you ask about have a fully weighted keyboard with graded action. The RP401 is in fact identical in key touch to this Roland F-140 I am playing in the video.
      The RP-401 is the same piano as the previous model F-130 but in a different furniture cabinet.
      HP-506 has the next level of action up and is also very good. CLP525 have a similar action to the Rolands.
      When you say compared to a normal piano... all pianos are different. There is more variance between different acoustic pianos than there is between digital pianos. All these models are good though :-)

I was wondering since this has 3 sensors and an escapement mechanism, which is only present on piano's in a higher price range, but only 128 note polyphony, how long can I use this piano before I need to upgrade to a more expensive one? Roland is derelict in its duty to support this purchaser of one F-140R (Contemporary Black) in that I had placed it behind me at my L-Shaped deak so that I could hook it into my DAW easily.
    Unfortunately, I neglected to remember it was there when I rose up exhausted one night soon after moving it behind me there, and blammo it falls on its back, yet is just fine aside from three broken I/O ports that were broken and/or bent.
    I have this here Digital Temp Control Soldering Station, all needed tools, fifty years working with and designing & building circuitry that functions to spec.
    Yet Roland refuses me a simple F-140R Service Manual.
