My parents exempted me from the sex ed part of the class. My parents gave me the talk separately. I saw everybody after class and they looked like they came back from nam. I didn't ask what they had seen and that was probably for the best 💀💀

I never watched The Miracle of Life, and so I was never traumatized by it. I do, however, remember my sex ed class in fifth grade, and we watched an educational documentary about HIV/AIDS that was made in the 80s when it was still relatively new as a disease. To visualize it, I remember they showed the body as a house and the immune system as the bodyguard keeping diseases out. Then the AIDS virus would show up, and it was a guy wearing a costume that looked like a Sesame Street/The Muppets reject design, it was red, it had lobster claws, big googly eyes, and a unibrow. It would touch the immune system bodyguard, which magically made him transform into it, and whenever other diseases tried to get near the house, the AIDS virus would say: "It's okay, let him through."
I was in fifth grade from 2002-2003, and I remember that AIDS caricature being nightmare fuel for me for the rest of the school year in 2003.
Brewstew had all my childhood favorites. like Toaster strudels. And i loved the movie Parent Trap.
