I'm seriously so happy Crystal Lake is still going strong after Ryo's departure. All the new material with John has been incredible and I can't wait for a new album!
@mr.keiser4259 true, but no one talks about them, ever. I've never heard anyone mention them irl, and only people who like Japanese music mention them online.
I’ve been jamming these dudes even more since John joined the band, the guys are super talented and I’m glad they didn’t let the Ryo fanbois bring them down after he left.
John seems like the coolest fucking dude! Would love to have a drink & listen to his stories. Super happy that he & the guys in Crystal Lake seem to be gelling so well.
I love these guys so much! Crystal Lake is one of my favourite bands of all time and I love YD, Mitsuru, TJ and Gaku! Although I miss Ryo, John is the perfect singer for this band and he’s such a cool and talented dude! The Light Audition process was one of the best things I’ve ever watched and was glued to the show to see who the new singer would be! Thank you for having everyone on!
Great interview! I just saw these guys with SiM in Minneapolis and starting with the first song I became an instant fan. John's vocals killed it dude!!!!🤘😎🎶🎶🎶 Keep it going guys!
Yeah I was shocked too when I found out how long crystal lake has been around. Only discovered them a couple years ago. Goes to show you how long and how hard it is for Japanese bands to break out over here in the U.S.
Saw Ten Seconds of Life when John was in on it - holy shit the guy fucking commands the audience... Full fucking props to this guy for going as hard as he has! Dude deserves more props!
Crystal Lake has been my favorite band for many years and I saw them live in Chicago!1 I met John he was a great guy and one of the best vocalists I've ever seen. Greatest concert of my life. I'm so happy to see this band go this far and see people finally start to recognize them. They got some of the best music i ever heard and they were all great to meet. When Ryo left i thought was the band but John really helped out i love them sm.
been a fan before ryo and post ryo glad to have finally seen them here in chicago wish the crowd was into it but pls if you see this come back crystal lake to the us bring the true north fest to the us bring graupel. sailing before the wind and earthist with you it would be a legendary tour.
Niceeee. I'm not gonna lie, I keep forgetting to listen to the post-Ryo stuff but I was a huge fan of Helix except for a song or two that was really cringe. I learned how to play +81 awhile ago for a cover video. That's probably my favorite song of theirs. Very diverse band!
@@adamcogan211 The bridge in +81 kinda reminds me of faith no more with it's bass and vocal delivery. It just comes outta nowhere and sounds so damn good
Feels weird without Shinya and Ryo saw Crystal Lake on their first U.S. tour they stole the show as per usual was sad they left listened to denial and rebirth and got hooked with John hopefully a collab with ryo eventually like killswitch did with Jesse and Howard but these fellas still kick ass
Brutal playlist... Can you please create one including some october ends songs? Try Dark which is the newest one, then Call Me Before I'm Dead, Play Time, Of Stars all SLAP!!!!
Because unfortunately, everything about that band was overly negative. The music. The lyrics. The Members, our fans, our process. Our future plans. Everything. You name it. The 3 of us couldn't handle it anymore so we quit. Im sure it's very obvious to see the happy difference in each of our lives since leaving. Genuinely, good luck to those new guys in their efforts. I have no ill will. Tyler is a dope singer. Drew is a monster musician & Dylan is a great drummer.

Did you see Ryo's current band?
@@Ilickmyballs Knosis is dope! It's great their both thriving
I love John’s New York accent …. Shout out to my New York peeps … great choice by crystal Lake
Glad to see this band getting some western exposure. Japan has some of the hardest and most unique metal on the planet.
Western exposure? Crystal Lake is literally one of the most popular metalcore bands in the world lol
@mr.keiser4259 more western exposure*
@mr.keiser4259 true, but no one talks about them, ever. I've never heard anyone mention them irl, and only people who like Japanese music mention them online.
I think, music wise Japan is next to USA in terms of quality rock, metal in general...
love this band so much their old shit was top tier!

Best band on the friggin planet
The Last Ten Seconds Of Life represent.
Yo…I’d download and watch their TikTok’s just to see the culture clashes. I think it’d boost them way the fuck up. Please consider it.

I've been waiting for this one 🖤🖤
It would be killer to try getting Mick Thomson on the show if that is possible in any way, he's huge on death metal and all the cool shit
I miss Shinya and Ryo. Glad I got to see the last line-up in the summer of 2019 in Tokyo.

Wonder why John left Last ten seconds of life
He said more than once on this podcast that they were constantly arguing and the negative theme of band was wearing on him.

Seeing John I'm Crystal Lake is just super weird to me. Not saying I hate it... just needs some getting used to.
Just saw them in Cincinnati. They were amazing.
Garza you gotta try and get the Prada boys on here 🥹
You forgot to say “and now for the heaviest podcast of all time..” 😢
