The drums in the lead in right off the bat got me back to the 40’s, sitting in a jazz club. Remember that scene from ‘The Mask’ where Jim Carey was wearing a zoot suit and when that blonde singer came out on stage, his face turned into a wolf and his jaw dropped? He went up and danced with her, and the music, the drums like these started off.
I know Robyn mainly from her stuff with Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox, she's a great vocalist. Her catalog is really massive, about 10 albums. Like PMJ she is fun to watch and fun to listen to, however, personally I like PMJs concept a bit more. Having all those different vocalists is more interesting.
@@Scoobydcs yes, they are, they actually got me into a lot of cover acts like Scary Pockets, Stories, Brass Against, etc. I often hear songs that I like more than the original, sometimes I even don't know the original. I also follow a couple of their artists, Therese Curatolo, Casey Abrams, Sara Niemietz, Puddles, or Sarah Reich (tap dancer), they are great on their own, and some lovely human beings.
im a HUUUUGE zeppelin fan, this is cool, not blasphemy at all because its artistic, if it was a lazy cash in that would be blasphemy, this is non of those things
