A few clarifications of some in-jokes -the bit with the "redacted" part in the Dark Angels section is because a big chunk of the DA turned heretic during the Horus Humbug and the DA kept it secret and hunt them dowm. -when he said 20 and corrected it to 18 it was because theres two missing primarchs and legions. they serve as a reference to the lost roman legions and also let you make original armies and still headcanon it as being an original missing legion -Cadia was on the outskirts of that hell dimension, the warp's biggest portal the Eye of Terror. they were the first line of defense against the traitor legions and they got BLOWN TO SHIT in the most recent lore. The Cadians are so badass tho that there was still fighting being done on the shattered chunks of the planet, leading to the phrase "The planet broke before the guard did"
I ADORE Bricky, he's a real lad. Reminds me of someone I could just sit down and talk with for an hour in some kind of podcast, possibly called Adeptus Ridiculous
The one thing that is important to understand the Adeptus Mechanicus is that this faction's goal is to obtain knowledge. They do see humans just as the same as machines, but the human body deteriorates and this can cause a loss of the knowledge that they want to preserve. This s why they see the flesh as weaker. They also are like this because of a civil war that destroyed most of the planet (Mars) this is where the cult of the Mechanicum started and where to survive they had to adapt their bodies to live in a destroyed world. This saved the people of Mars and is also why they interchange certain body parts for mechanical. Because they had to for centries and this became their culture.

Unfortunately, Karens will always exist. Fundamentally, a Karen is just an entitled and slightly-oblivious person who is too comfortable with the societal norms favoring them. I just described people who will _always_ exist where there are spoilt adults with entitlements. The Imperium of Mankind is _space feudalism._ Virtually every person in a position of consequence must be referred to as a Lord or Lady by their social inferiors. "The Brotherhood of the Viper" novel had a noblewoman in it trying to girlboss some Astartes to evacuate her from the planet because she didn't quite understand that "servant of the Imperium" doesn't mean that Astartes would follow her orders. Ironically, their manager did step in, that manager being an Inquisitor who basically told her to stop bothering the superhuman giants that were doing their job. She got off lightly, considering she had fired off a digital las weapon at a Marine.
Yeah, the Emperor fought to extinguish the influence of religion, humanity didn't get the memo. Hope Bricky's videos interest you guys enough to continue with it. I've seen it more times than I'd like to admit, but it's always fun to see new people learning about the universe :D
I stayed away from Warhammer 40000, because of that. Now, I dive deeper, every day, read, watch videos from people like Leutin09 and 40K Theories, daily, for about a solid year. Now, I can't stop.
@@RobouteGuilliman-M41 same here, got into it a bit more than a Year ago, and it just spiralled from ther on. I watch lore vids on the daily and allready spent a lot of monney on my Space Marine Army. also for anyone that was wondering where the salamaders joke went and the people who are like "what joke?" there is a joke that most people dont get and, im not saying these guys here cut it out for this reason. but some people think is some racist joke or something is "they are all black.. and not just like regular black they are like 2 AM line at a whitecastle black" if you dont get that because you dont have a whitecastle, NO ONE EATS THERE like no one its a shock that they are still around.. so at 2 AM its just pitch black because the lights are off, no street lights and not a soul in sight.. basically, its abyssal black just pure darkness and if you know about whitecastle that is one of the funniest jokes
Every Space Marine ''Chapter'' is basically like an autonumous small army (incl. their own fleet, armored vehicles, airforce etc.) with their own traditions, culture, insignia and specialization in some type of warfare. For example, the Ultramarines are highly disciplined/organized/tactical and do everything by the book.(The ''Codex Astartes'' which is like the Space Marines ''Bible''). They have a strong greco-roman influence & their homeworld is actually a pretty nice place to live. The Space Wolves on the other hand, don't give a crap about the Codex Astartes, are very anti-authoritarian and prefer to do things their own way. They're also crazy-ass Space Werewolf-Vikings, hailing from a planet, populated with giant wolves & sea krakens. When they're not beating the crap out of the enemies of the Imperium, they love to get drunk (with an alcoholic beverage that can kill normal humans!), tell epic stories of their battles and play with their pet Direwolves. The White Scars, are basically Mongolians in space, who prefer ''Blitzkrieg'' tactics against their enemies, meanwhile the Imperial Fists are great combat engineers & experts for siege warfare. The Salamanders, are famous weaponsmiths/armourers and pyromaniacs, hailing from a volcanic planet. They're also one of the nicest Space Marines Chapters, because they actually care for the civilians and go through great lenghts to protect them. The Flesh Tearers on the other hand, are complete psychos who just go berserk on the battlefield and to whom ''collateral damage'' & ''friendlies'' don't exist in their vocabulary. They hail from a tropical jungle planet, populated with dinosaurs. Then you have the Raven Guard, who are the ''sneaky bois'' of the Space Marines. They excel in infiltration, covert operations, missions behind enemy lines & guerilla warfare. The Black Templars are super fanatical(even for Space Marines standards) and are on a neverending crusade against the enemies of the Imperium. They don't have a homeworld, instead they have a massive space fleet which is always on the move.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames These are just some of the loyalist Space Marines Chapters. You also have the Blood Angels, who are noble Space Vampires with some anger management issues. The Blood Ravens, who are cleptomaniacs eh... I mean they like to ''aquire rare relics''. The Dark Angels, who go through great lenghts in order to hide that half of them turned traitor during the Horus Heresy and are still hunting down these traitors. (hence Bricky's ''redacted''-joke) The Iron Hands, who are obsessed with technology and use cybernetic implants. The Lamenters AKA the unluckiest SOB's of the Imperium. Seriously, these guys got it tough. The Minotaurs AKA the Spartans of the Space Marines. They're mostly used to take out other renegade Space Marine Chapters. The Charcharodons AKA the Space Sharks, who are the Imperium's ''Shock & Awe'' troops. Their reputation is so fearsome, that rebellious planets prefer to surrender than to face them. And there are still many many more, not counting the traitor Space Marines, who turned to the Chaos Gods.
Fun fact about Blood Angels, they are also super pretty. Their gene seed basically turns them into Prince Charming because Sanguinius their Primarch could make every heterosexual male seriously question their sexuality.
By the Emperor.... It's happening! _High Gothic Chanting Intensifies_ On a serious note, Bricky is one hell of a down to earth dude that is very passionate about the 40K Universe. He takes the time to read up on specific lore for the Adeptus Ridiculous podcast to help his buddy DK understand it more and it's been a great introduction for those new to the 40K universe. If you're curious about Cadia, the Templin Institute has a great video about it. Glad to see you guys reaction. Hope you have a wonderful day.

So if ONE of you, wink wink, likes heresy but still wants to be human, Adeptus Mechanicus may be your prime choice, as it was for me. Each faction, not just the Space Marines, have their own branches that set them apart. Adeptus Mechanicus, for instance, has a branch known as "Stygies VIII" where the Adeptus Mechanicus handle dangerous Xeno technology. They are very often on the fringes of loyalty to the Imperium, and anyone aligned to them tend to skirt the lines between heresy and faith to their Omnessian god. If you wanna go a bit further, there's even a sect of Mechanicus that broke off from the imperium to serve Chaos, known as the Dark Mechanicum. These are all splinter factions and diverging groups, but it just goes to show that within even individual factions of the Imperium, there are those that align to your more heretical beliefs. Not that I'm judging...of course. :) Praise the Omnissiah.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Absolutely! One of the nice things about the tabletop is that you don't need to strictly follow coloring. There are some purists that are like "when you get your models you need to use these colors" but because the models are such blank slates...you're entirely free to look up "Dark Mechanicum colors" and just decide to make a Dark Mechanicum army for playing. Bricky, notably, talked about how he has a Sisters of Battle army where he's painted in all these beautiful pink flowers, contrasting the fact that the Sisters of Battle are some of the darkest and morally-dubious in the Imperium. There's that level of roleplay freedom where you just go "let's use this template...look for good sub-factions...and align to one" and I think that's so cool.
I have read and watched hundreds of hours of lore about WH40K and still haven't learned everything. The lore is insanely in-depth and I love it. The Salamanders are by far my favorite Space Marine legion. You should read the lore behind their primarch and his upbringing on his home planet.
Salamanders seem like the only decent Space Marion legion. And decent meaning good people. So would be curious to learn more about them. Not that we don’t enjoy the dark stuff 😈
There are SO many space marine chapters and you can indeed make an entire video on every single one of them. 40k has the most extensive lore of any sci-fi universe I know of, rivaled only by Orion's Arm.
I suggest you guys listen to the adeptus ridiculous podcast or go to their TH-cam if you want visuals of things. Bricky is within that podcast and it's both funny and educational. Bricky and DK goes more deeper into the factions, events, books even, important characters and an overview of the faction within the table top.
I'm so happy you got to this one, he has a way of adding humor to it while getting the point across, of course he glossed over a lot of stuff, but that's to be expected.
1- the warp started out as a reflection.. It got to the point of "hellish" when war raged throught the entire galaxy (it reflects the horrors of the tormented souls by the war). 2- The Emperor would born again if he dies (it already happened since the dawn of Humanity), but the ones who put Him in the throne and feed Him the 1000 souls/day do not know that.. As they were the first generation to be presented by the true Emperor's form.
Adeptus Mechanicus are so interesting. The game of the same name is actually a really interesting look into their tactics and methodology. Good X-Com type game, great music too.
I'll admit that I'm a fan of the Space Wolves, son's of Fenris. I also plan to buy the legion set of Death Guard, Chaos Space Marines. One of the few tabletop legions that have a primarch piece. Mortarion looks sick, even as a worshipper of Nurgle.
The moment you focused in on the Raven Guard you became one of us brother. Oh and Primarch Corvus Corax is currently in the warp fighting chaos solo like a boss while morphing his body into a Demon and its weird cause you think demon is hersey but nah, Corax is so loyal even as a Demon Primarch his fighting for the Emperor. Also side note cause you dealt with the Mars robo boys, the Omnissiah might actually be a shard of the Necron Ctan God The Void Dragon so those robot bastards are litreally worshipping a Necron Star God that tells them to abandon flesh and become robots... yeah that didn't work out well for the Necrons
21:35 Also forgot about the Black Rage once a Blood Angel enters the black rage it's nigh impossible for them to exit it and they relive what has happened to Sanguineous in the battle against Horus Luprecal. They fight until either their target who they deem as Horus dies or they do. Overpassing any wounds or lost limbs in the process.
Or have we been lied to and the truth is Sanguinius gave into the bloodlust, destroyed Horus and was still on a rampage when Big Daddy E arrived, was wounded by Sanguinius before the big E had to kill him then destroyed Horus soul so he couldn't come back and tell the truth of what went down? Man I love 40k! I just find it hard to believe that the Big E would lose to Horus even if Horus was boosted by the powers of chaos, the Big E has slapped those god's around before and even when he came back recently he slapped nurgle so hard....
"Adeptus Mechanicus are totaly nuts" Maybe. But they pulled tanks from World War 2 out of the mud in Germany and started it on the first try... Can you say that about a person?
Yes! You got to Bricky! His WH40k explanations are spot on, hilarious, and informative. You are becoming quite well informed in the Hobby we call 40k, yay! Of course, still waiting for you to get to regular fantasy Warhammer, you'll love that too, of course. Cheers!
So glad you're checking out Warhammer! Deathwatch space marines are neat because they are seconded from other chapters and where their home chapter on their right shoulder. They're alien hunter specialists and on the tabletop they are flexible even for space marines (partially because they come from a mix of chapters).
You know I think you guys would love The Dark Pictures Anthology. Its a series of short horror experiences (like 5 hours each) where you make choices that dictate whether or not characters live or not. All 3 of the games (soon to be 4 next year) are co-op with other person where you play as separate characters. Like you can plays as two brothers and make them hate each other or love each other pending the dialogue and choices you choose. Its very similar to Until Dawn, which was the first game made by the developer in this style, but I don't think that has co-op. I love the games and recommend them.
Bricky for some reason skipped clearing this part up but there were originally 20 legions. Each with tens if not hundreds of thousands of space marines. After the Horus Heresy, Guilliman wrote the codex Astartes to re organise the legions with intent to not give so much power to one legion. They were then all broken down into chapters that generally capped their numbers at around 1000 (some break these rules and in recent lore I think the limit was raised) so there are hundreds of chapters out there now. All with a lineage in a legion and even some loyalist chapters rumoured to have genetic lineage in traitor primarchs.
About 10/15 years or so I started playing Warhammer 40k and did so for multiple years, but I knew little about the other factions other then the factions my friends and me played. I played Tyranids, my friends had Necrons, Tau and Spacemarines. I saw Bricky's videos last year or so and loved them. I also learned alot about them because of it x3.
By the way, when he was talking about the Guard, he forgot to mention my favorite regiment: the Krieg Death Corps. their planet was hit by atomic bombs in order to stop the heretics and now this is their home.... a pebble.... a radioactive pebble, but you just don't tell them, otherwise they will be offended. Remember if there are a lot of enemies and a lot of trenches on your planet (and it's even better that there is so much radiation that without a suit you will accumulate in less than a minute) then they themselves will come running and kill everyone who does not believe in the emperor (and there are still a bunch of memes about them and sapper shovels, for example: "- Lieutenant, we were running out of ammo!! - We don't have bullets, but we have faith in the Emperor.... ready shovels!!"
During the Horus heresy, the primarch of the Blood Angels died my friend's beloved primarch Sanya Sanechka Sanguinius (so they call him Sanguinius, but in the Ru community they call him so for fun) and I feel sorry for him:[
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames He was the guy beneath Horus' feet in the video when Bricky was talking about the Heresy, that is why there was a close up on him.

The Primarchs are a huge chunk of the lore, with the Horus (I have daddy issues) heresy series of novels being around 60 plus books and for the most part really well written the first three are well worth a read as they stand as there own trilogy immersing you in the universe while telling a story on a par with a great Greek tragedy.
There is another video on the subject that is very good, from 'Arbiter Ian' - "WARHAMMER 40k TIMELINE IN 20 MINS! From the 21st Century to the 41st Millenium - 40k Archives" less meme-y, but still informational and great for exploring the story historical timeline.
"Some talk of Ollanius Pius, some of Ciaphas Cain, of Yarrick and Sly Marbo and other greats the same. But of all the world's great heroes there's none more glorious than the row row row row row row row of the great Imperial Guard! Wherever were commanded for form our firing lines our leaders stand before us, unaware of xenos swine. To them and their commanders they crumble into dust when they march into the firing line of the great Imperial Guard!" Sing this is a Cadence voice.
Hey again, if you have any warhammer questions you want answered, I'm just reintroducing myself. I've been in the warhammer community for around twenty years, so if theres anything you don't understand, I can probably help. I commented awhile ago, just to jog your memory, I said that you could look like Christian Bale if you wanted to. Gonna assume that was memorable. To answer the question at the end, you wanted to know about the primarchs. Horus (primarch of the Luna Wolves, legion 16) was officially the first one found, as the planet he landed on was very close to Earth/Terra. They have tried to change it in a recent book, that Alpharius (the primarch of the Alpha Legion, legion 20) was found first, but kept a secret, but Horus was the star. He did everything perfect, he was the guy with the most success, etc. He was given the title of Warmaster, and his legion was renamed the Sons of Horus. But the Emperor left him in charge of everything while he snuck off to do something back on Terra, and after getting injured on a backwater planet called Davin, he kinda turned evil.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames that was a good (also likely unintended) 40K reference. The "Quest for Knowledge" is something that all Mechanicus members go on. After the Horus Heresy most of humanities "good" technology was lost, corrupted by the Warp or destroyed so the Mechanicus is always searching for lost technology to rediscover.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Since I have understood that you like Heretics a lot, a.k.a Chaos, you may want to look into the Fantasy version of Warhammer which is a separate universe, and in that universe recently Chaos managed to win, destroying almost everything. Fantasy is way more simple, as it involves just one world, but at the same time it keeps all the lunacy and complexity of Warhammer in general.
There is another aspect to why the Adeptus MEchanicus can work within the Imperium without following the Ecclesiarchy: Back when the Emperor started his Crusade, his first notable stop was Mars, where he was recognized as the Omissiah by the local Mechanicum (the predecessor of the Sadptus Mechanicus). The Omnissiah is basically the physical manifestation of the Machine God (they have a full trinity, in the religious sense, going on with these two and the Motive force). Bricky describes quite well how they get away with worshiping the Emperor in a different manner than everybody else, though. On a side note, he had a hand in the formation of the Mechanicum too, so he basically set himself up as their highest religious authority for when he needed it. I don't think it's ever really examined how that matches his hard anti religion stance during the Crusade, though it's also implied that some of his early plans in the fight against Chaos involved establishing religions after his vision, so that might be a remnant of that phase and potential plans to rectify that didn't get started because he's stuck on permanent life support. The rituals and chanting they perform to appease the Machine Spirits usually includes what we would the correct steps for maintenance or operation of the device in question. They may just spend half a day chanting garbled nonsense text in binary before hitting the on switch. Or the chanting contains actual voiced commands for a startup sequence within the garbage nonsense text. Their application of holy oils may hit a lot more of the machine than necessary, but it also hits the parts that actually need to be oiled, and I'd suspect the parts that don't need the oiled get ritually cleaned in one of the next steps. This doesn't mean that Machine Spirits are fake or something like that, because there is another aspects about Machine Spirits Bricky didn't bring up: There are stories that involve machines, especially weapons, working in key situations even though they physically should not be able to do so. Especially machines that are well cared for even by Adeptus Mechanicus standards. Tanks that could drive that extra mile even though the engine was critically hit already (as in, completely busted and physically unable to move the vehicle), bringing their crew to safety. Vehicles that were believed to be beyond saving making one last movement without a driver, sometimes without fuel, to take the hit for one of their crew. Weapons going off on their own and saving their wielder from a surprise attack. Again, sometimes without the required ammunition or energy.
Bricky's vids are a good starting point for the rabbit hole that is 40k, if a little bit general. If you're interested in something a little easier to follow, with a good amount of story mixed in, I would suggest Baldemort, here on TH-cam. His videos take on a good selection of 40k lore, and he's an awesome writer to boot 🙂
Glad to see this finally happening. Excited to see the remaining 3 Parts, and enjoyed this first reaction. As to the Primarchs all you need to know is this: Magnus Did Nothing Wrong. Lol but more seriously there plenty of resources to check them out, here on TH-cam the Biggest/Best would probably be ItalianSpartacus who has both a Basic summary video and more indepth versions
Do you guys think you'd ever play it? I picked Blood Angels, but your so right about Salamanders. If you want to hear about the Primarchs, MajorKill has a video.
I mean we are getting more and more into it so playing the game is not out of the question. Painting our army would be fun and battling each other even better 😁
I have watched your playlist of reactions to Warhammer 40K videos and I was waiting for this specific video! I saw you reply to people, saying that Bricky's videos' were on your list, but you didn't say when and I was waiting like a child for it, as I'm writing this comment I haven't even watched the video yet I'm excited, and excited for the next parts!
fun fact about the Salamanders- their primarch Vulkan believed that the family unit is the most sacred aspect of humanity. that even though a Salamander is taken from his family at age 10-12, implanted with 18 or so new organs, genetically edited into an 8ft tall super soldier and told to hold the line against whatever the galaxy throws at our species..... that doesn't mean they shouldn't see their folks once in awhile. the Salamanders are the only imperial institution that practices "family leave". they try to keep their marines rotated so that everyone gets at least SOME TIME at home with their people between deployments.
This is the first time Im watching Bricky and that was such a fun reaction!! Thanks for choosing that one, can't wait for the others! Also, remember when he said the Emperor created 20 Primarchs, and then had that funny pause and then said 18, well there's (big surprise) some lore about that. Because there were 20 Primarchs and 2 were lost. Anyway, there will be more videos Im sure you're going to watch that'll touch on that subject Ps you have really nice shirts
God I love the lore of 40k so much, so many books and such depth to it, I wish they make a Hollywood budget movie of the Horus heresy one day it would be epic.
Amazing fun fact about the emperor. The crusade he lead on earth to unite everyone also did away with all religions. And there’s a amazing short story of him sitting and talking to one of the last priests on earth.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames they're even more about saving normal people than the salamanders, to the point where they will sacrifice themselves to do so. their flag is a bleeding heart in a white circle with black and white checker marks around it, and their war cry is "For those we cherish, we die in Glory!"
The Salamanders are the only Space Marines that maintain ties to their mortal families. A boy who becomes a Salamander will often take on a patriarchal role in their former family, and due to their extended lifespan will act as a living connection to their family’s history. They often guide and nurture their mortal families as they can, giving them a unique care for humanity that most other chapters of marines lack.

You think we need a deathstar to inflict exterminatus? How quaint, no. 1 cyclonic warhead, sometimes delivered by a ship the size of a small frigate class warship with barely any crew on board. Alternatively mass orbital bombardment with conventional munitions and/or nukes and/or virus bombs, but the cyclonic warhead is the most dramatic and widely known version.

I love the Imperial Guard for the same reason I love Green Lanterns: you don't need to be a specially chosen one-in-a-million supersoldier, you don't need to be the archon of some dark god, you don't need to be a thousand-year-old xenos psychic wizard, an Imperial Guardsman can be a true hero, a legend, just by being someone with honor, a sense of duty, selflessness, and a will of iron. And it can be literally anyone. It can be you. On Cadia, the fucking *planet* broke before the will of the Guardsmen did. That STILL makes me tear up.
If you ask for something from the Mechanicus, they will tell you "for non-technical reasons, come after lunch... in general, we will call you" and if they need something, they will aggressively clap their claws and grab you
Salamanders and space wolves are probably the most loyal to the regular humans salamanders put humans lives above all. And the space wolves feel honor bound to defend humans

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Once you learn a little more about chaos, you might change that opinion lol. Short version, being a pawn of chaos sucks the hard one :)
Every faction in Warhammer has so much to use as an anchor to get into the franchise but personally the primarchs really are my interest and the space Marine legions. My two favorites are Konrad and sanguineous
Konrad did not have a very good upbringing at all and all of the primarks were meant to be a certain way and when they were scattered they were subject to their environment, Konrad was the brutal but necessary type of person, and sanguineous was just regal and was a good man, both primarchs suffered visions but only sanguinius was actually listened to.
A few clarifications of some in-jokes
-the bit with the "redacted" part in the Dark Angels section is because a big chunk of the DA turned heretic during the Horus Humbug and the DA kept it secret and hunt them dowm.
-when he said 20 and corrected it to 18 it was because theres two missing primarchs and legions. they serve as a reference to the lost roman legions and also let you make original armies and still headcanon it as being an original missing legion
-Cadia was on the outskirts of that hell dimension, the warp's biggest portal the Eye of Terror. they were the first line of defense against the traitor legions and they got BLOWN TO SHIT in the most recent lore. Warhammer seems overwhelming at first but when you get into it everything kinda makes sense. At least that's what happened with me.
I can attest this too
I stayed away from Warhammer 40000, because of that.
If you don't allready know him, I can highly recommend Baldemorts guide to Warhammer, he realy got me hookt on the depth of the Lore.
Yeah at first I was baffled, then it's just "yeah of course you must pray to a tank, of course"
Very true I started last year with WH 40k. After a few video's I understood the basics. The rest is just some extra cool lore for me.
also for anyone that was wondering where the salamaders joke went and the people who are like "what joke?" there is a joke that most people dont get and, im not saying these guys here cut it out for this reason. but some people think is some racist joke or something is "they are all black.. and not just like regular black they are like 2 AM line at a whitecastle black" if you dont get that because you dont have a whitecastle, NO ONE EATS THERE like no one its a shock that they are still around.. so at 2 AM its just pitch black because the lights are off, no street lights and not a soul in sight.. basically, its abyssal black just pure darkness and if you know about whitecastle that is one of the funniest jokes
I’m not usually the stealth kind but love the Raven Guard all the same 😎🤟
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames These are just some of the loyalist Space Marines Chapters.
(hence Bricky's ''redacted''-joke)
The Iron Hands, who are obsessed with technology and use cybernetic implants.
18:56 Corvus Corax and the Raven Guard are probably my favourite aesthetically, they're just so cool lol.
Raven Guard! 😁🥳
Fun fact about Blood Angels, they are also super pretty. Their gene seed basically turns them into Prince Charming because Sanguinius their Primarch could make every heterosexual male seriously question their sexuality.

Praise the Omnissiah.
Dark Mechanicum sounds kinda fun 🤖 😈
🤟🤟😁
I suggest you guys listen to the adeptus ridiculous podcast or go to their TH-cam if you want visuals of things.
Bricky is within that podcast and it's both funny and educational. Bricky and DK goes more deeper into the factions, events, books even, important characters and an overview of the faction within the table top.
We will try and check them out for some car rides and what not 😇
I'm so happy you got to this one, he has a way of adding humor to it while getting the point across, of course he glossed over a lot of stuff, but that's to be expected.
Yes his delivery is very good for such a complicated subject 😀
1- the warp started out as a reflection.. It got to the point of "hellish" when war raged throught the entire galaxy (it reflects the horrors of the tormented souls by the war).
2- The Emperor would born again if he dies (it already happened since the dawn of Humanity), but the ones who put Him in the throne and feed Him the 1000 souls/day do not know that.. As they were the first generation to be presented by the true Emperor's form.
Adeptus Mechanicus are so interesting. The game of the same name is actually a really interesting look into their tactics and methodology. Good X-Com type game, great music too.
😎🤟
I'll admit that I'm a fan of the Space Wolves, son's of Fenris.
I also plan to buy the legion set of Death Guard, Chaos Space Marines. One of the few tabletop legions that have a primarch piece. Mortarion looks sick, even as a worshipper of Nurgle.
ehehehe Mortarion looks "sick" Nurgle is the god of sickness
Sounds like we got a heretic here 🤨the inquisition has been notified, await your impending doom heretic scum 😝😝lol
Damn. Corax is a bad ass 😀 Raven Guard baby! 🥳🥳
😯😨
Sanguinius is the Primarch of the Blood Angels. He was killed by Horus before the battle with the Emperor, hence why he's laying dead at his feet.
Horus 😡
Or have we been lied to and the truth is Sanguinius gave into the bloodlust, destroyed Horus and was still on a rampage when Big Daddy E arrived, was wounded by Sanguinius before the big E had to kill him then destroyed Horus soul so he couldn't come back and tell the truth of what went down?
Man I love 40k! I just find it hard to believe that the Big E would lose to Horus even if Horus was boosted by the powers of chaos, the Big E has slapped those god's around before and even when he came back recently he slapped nurgle so hard....
"Adeptus Mechanicus are totaly nuts"
Maybe. But they pulled tanks from World War 2 out of the mud in Germany and started it on the first try...
Can you say that about a person?
Fair enough 🙂
The question is did the machine spirit inside the Panzer tell them to drive to Poland?
Yes! You got to Bricky! His WH40k explanations are spot on, hilarious, and informative. You are becoming quite well informed in the Hobby we call 40k, yay! Of course, still waiting for you to get to regular fantasy Warhammer, you'll love that too, of course. Cheers!
Yeah we’ve been meaning to get to the fantasy side for quite sometime just keep getting distracted 😂😂

On our request list to check out eventually 😅
Bricky for some reason skipped clearing this part up but there were originally 20 legions. Each with tens if not hundreds of thousands of space marines. After the Horus Heresy, Guilliman wrote the codex Astartes to re organise the legions with intent to not give so much power to one legion. They were then all broken down into chapters that generally capped their numbers at around 1000 (some break these rules and in recent lore I think the limit was raised) so there are hundreds of chapters out there now. All with a lineage in a legion and even some loyalist chapters rumoured to have genetic lineage in traitor primarchs.
Thanks for explaining a bit more about the legions to us 🙂
Take a shot every time Bricky says "untold billions."

Thanks for giving us some more info on the primarchs 😀🤩

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Since I have understood that you like Heretics a lot, a.k.a Chaos, you may want to look into the Fantasy version of Warhammer which is a separate universe, and in that universe recently Chaos managed to win, destroying almost everything. Fantasy is way more simple, as it involves just one world, but at the same time it keeps all the lunacy and complexity of Warhammer in general.
It has started. I'm so happy.
Ditto! :D

This doesn't mean that Machine Spirits are fake or something like that, because there is another aspects about Machine Spirits Bricky didn't bring up:
There are stories that involve machines, especially weapons, working in key situations even though they physically should not be able to do so.
Thanks for telling us more about Omnissiah and Adeptus Mechanicus 😀
I love the Imperial Fists cuz they actually choose to use riot shields and formation
Bricky is funny and he really does a good job at explaining things but you should do more warhammer lol

fun fact about the Salamanders- their primarch Vulkan believed that the family unit is the most sacred aspect of humanity. that even though a Salamander is taken from his family at age 10-12, implanted with 18 or so new organs, genetically edited into an 8ft tall super soldier and told to hold the line against whatever the galaxy throws at our species..... that doesn't mean they shouldn't see their folks once in awhile.
the Salamanders are the only imperial institution that practices "family leave". they try to keep their marines rotated so that everyone gets at least SOME TIME at home with their people between deployments.

Amazing fun fact about the emperor. The crusade he lead on earth to unite everyone also did away with all religions. And there’s a amazing short story of him sitting and talking to one of the last priests on earth.
if you like the humanity of the Salamanders, then you might love the Lamenters chapter marines.
What are they about? 😯😀

Salamander seems like the best gig 🙂

If you ask for something from the Mechanicus, they will tell you "for non-technical reasons, come after lunch... in general, we will call you" and if they need something, they will aggressively clap their claws and grab you
Damn. They don’t mess around 😨
Salamanders and space wolves are probably the most loyal to the regular humans salamanders put humans lives above all.
And the space wolves feel honor bound to defend humans
😎🤟
you guys really need to watch Cadia by the Templin institute, its soooo good!
On our 40k list to check out eventually 😅
Hmm first time seeing lore for this , looks absolutely crazy and just up my alley 😩🙌
The sisters of battle are freaking nutty.
So first of all. FINALLY!!! You two have begun the journey of Bricky's 2 part videos.
Secondly, YT sucks. Because I'm now seeing this pop on my YT account 3 days later....DAFAQ TH-cam?!
That’s been happening a lot lately. TH-cam trying to torpedo the channel lately 😭 But we are glad you found it 🥳🥳 Tomorrow is part 2 of part 1 just in case TH-cam screws up again 😝
when everyone's the Bad guy, no one is the Bad Guy.... maybe Tau.
Cadian Gaurd, fight your first Swarm Lord at 16 Die 0.1 seconds later.
Horus once said, that even he would not like to fight the Angel (Sanguinius), for he is the best of all of them.
40K has one solely good faction tho. Its the Farsight Enclave.
Yes! After this you should look at the warhammer total war trailers for the fantasy side of the universe
We do plan to get to those 😅
''I'm Team Heretic''
My Exterminatus arm is acting up again
😂😂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Once you learn a little more about chaos, you might change that opinion lol.
Short version, being a pawn of chaos sucks the hard one :)
Eldar are my favorite faction. Imperium of Man are my second favorite.
I have done it! I have made them join the cult of the Warhammer!
😈😇
Every faction in Warhammer has so much to use as an anchor to get into the franchise but personally the primarchs really are my interest and the space Marine legions. My two favorites are Konrad and sanguineous
Why do those two standout the most to you? 🤔🙂
Finally! I've waited for this day for so long
😀🥳😁
