    Excellent training videos. Thanks you for providing them for free, they are very helpful. I've read the book twice, it's a lot of material and you are covering everything and a visual way that's definitely very helpful in understanding and absorbing the information. The best free training videos!!!

    This is a MUST to use resource for anyone preparing for CISSP.
    The way Rob speaks was very clear and very easy to follow.
    I liked the Visuals and were truly helpful to create a map in mind for each topic.
    I used these maps after finishing the OSG and Destination CISSP Book.
    Though this is Free, they did not compromise on quality of content.
    I cleared my CISSP on May 2023. Thank you very much for making that happen.

    Thank you for providing, Rob! Great stuff! Quick question, but isn't there a preliminary step "Prepare" for the RMF?

    • @destcert
      @destcert  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, you're right. The latest version (Revision 2) of NIST 800-37 adds "Prepare" as the new first step. Accordingly, the steps are:
      Step 1 PREPARE to execute the RMF
      Step 2 CATEGORIZE Information System
      Step 3 SELECT Security Controls
      Step 4 IMPLEMENT Security Controls
      Step 5 ASSESS Security Controls
      Step 6 AUTHORIZE Information System
      Step 7 MONITOR Security Controls
      Thanks for catching this @zstpierre!

    Excellent video. One question - Zachman and TOGAF are enterprise architecture models and not specific to security like SABSA. Can you clarify ?

    • @destcert
      @destcert  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You are entirely correct. Zachman and TOGAF are enterprise architecture frameworks and do not specifically speak to security. SABSA was specifically created to help organizations develop risk-driven enterprise information security architectures.
      SABSA is very heavyweight and is not necessarily a good fit for every organization. TOGAF is lighterwight.
      No matter what enterprise architecture framework is used (Zachman, SABSA, TOGAF, etc.) the intention from a security perspective is to break the organization down into its components and ensure security is baked in throughout, and that security is an enabler to help the organization achieve its goals and objectives. From this perspective, any of the enterprise security architectures are a useful tool.

We are currently beta testing the class. Please email me at rob@destcert.com if you are interested in more details.
