some info. this stand-off scale model has provoked me to learn about the pc-6. this model does not have a scale wing, thrust config or main lg. because the elongated nose of a pilatus is there to accommodate the use of turboprop power, this feature is ONLY cosmetic on a model. the linked drawings suggest that a aoa-offset at the engine/thrust line has been used. googletranslate static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/9/5/0/0/a1615934-112-Pilatus%20Porter.jpg euskalair.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/pilatus-pc6-entero.jpg
I think actually the elongated nose was more to do with shifting the centre of gravity in order to make the plane shorter and still able to carry a good size cargo load. There was a P6 that was non-turbo, and it had the same elongated nose.
What a great model!! Awesome 'hover'!! You could probably take off and land this on a 20ft flatbed trailer.
Awesome footage! Thanks for uploading 😎
