and listen again, He said, I do have British Citizenship by descent, So, now we all
know that he's a British citizen, this is something he never told us before, Jamaica's
immigration record shows that his first Jamaican passport was given to him

    • @rtee4086
      @rtee4086 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@jasonakumetsu4929, if we only read section 39 of the Jamaica Constitution, he hasn't
Broken any rules, and that's because section 39 only specify the qualification process for
A person to be eligible to sit in our parliament, However, if we read section 40.2, as well,
because section 39 is subject to section 40 and 41, section 40 and 41 legally, disqualified
Anyone, from a Commonwealth or Non-Commonwealth Country from holding any office
Or to sit in our parliament, if that person pledge allegiance to another state or power,
And if that person has a passport from another state or power, by renewing that foreign
Passport, The Constitution regards that act, as pledging allegiance to another power
or sovereignty, Go online and read it for yourselves, because most of have not read our
Constitution, we Just go by what people like Mark Golding tells us, Mark is a qualified Lawyer,
and he knows that he's sitting in Jamaica's parliament illegally. Unless he relinquished his
British Diplomatic Citizenship, Once he taken to the Supreme Court, he will not have any
      legs to stand on,
Because I can assure you, someone in Jamaica will take this matter to Court for clarification,
And when they do the Constitution will win. He cannot recover from this, Right now he is
illegal in his political possession, politically, he is fatally wounded, and it is only a matter of
Time that his party strip him of the leadership. I urged Jamaicans to go online, download
and read Section 39, which speaks about the qualifications for members of parliament.
Also read section 40 & 41, These are relevant to 39, Section 40 &41, speaks about the Disqualifications
for members who do not qualify to sit in the houses of representatives.

@jasonakumetsu' according to the constitution section 40 & 41, he has broken the rule,

@@jay-sean424 Sue v Hill information comes from Wikipedia, Sue v Hill was a Australian
Court case decided in the High Court of Australia on 23 June 1999, it concerned a dispute
over the apparent return of a candidate, Heather Hill, To the Australian parliament in the
1998 federal election. Heather Hill won the election. The result was challenged on the basis
That Hill was a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and Australia, And that section 44 ( i )
Of the Constitution of Australia prevents any person who is a citizen who is a citizen of a
Foreign power from being elected to the parliament of Australia. The High Court found That,

such as a Jamaican birth certificate to prove that he is, we cannot rely on what he
Tells us, for most of his life he knew that he was a British citizen, but he never told
anyone until just days ago, How can we trust such a person to lead our country ?
even his alleged Jamaican citizenship have not yet been officially confirmed. So we
don't even know if he's a Jamaican, Mark's Father and Mother were sent to Jamaica
on British diplomatic passports, And Mark is most probably still a British diplomat
in Jamaica. we just don't know, Why can't he just give it up ? renounces it and pledge
his Allegiance to Jamaica only ? Think about that.

Well spoken Bruce Golding. Being a duel citizen of the common wealth is different from being , for example, a citizen of the USA or China. He was born with it and it’s legal. He uses his Jamaican passport for travel. Change the constitution or let the matter rest.

I would like to advise comrade mark Golding not to give up his dual citizenship until when Jamaica fully goes Republic, not before that day. Because Jamaica is still a British colony and,as the constitution said. Once you are a citizen of any commonwealth country, you can hold any office in Jamaica. I have travel to England several times and,I never got a visa to enter. During my time going to England all you are required to enter,is a letter of invitation from the person you are going to. You can have a visa from Jamaica on reaching England, they still can turn you back. I was married in England 34 years ago so, I know what am saying. My father went to England in 1957 lived there for years, before migrated to the United States.
All these people in Jamaica who is claiming that they are constitutional lawyers or whatever they are, some of those have no damn sense at all. I was at the national stadium 🏟️ in 1962 when Jamaica gained this so-called independence august 6 th 1962 and , still don't really change from England. Because Jamaica is still a colony also a subject of England, because from 1962 the Jlp party government ministers them refused from break away from England. The greatest changes Jamaica has made since 1962 is, when the pnp party won election. The great Micheal Manley and his administration colleagues ministers them, changes a lot of things. For the betterment of the people of Jamaica, so I tried to avoid the younger generation them. B

The issue at hand is; Mark Golding renewed his British Passport when it expired (thus pledging allegiance to a sovereign State - by his own volition). Which is disqualifying in the Jamaican Constitution - Section 39&40. Stop trying to hoodwink the J'can people, Mark. Renounce the British Monarchy - Or, lawyer up and see you in Court.

Mark Golding Father and Mother were sent to Jamaica on two British diplomatic passport,
Diplomats whose children are born overseas are citizen of their parents Country, Mark
Golding and his siblings are British Nationals, Mark and his sister was never Registered
in Jamaica ( That's why he cannot come up with a Jamaican birth certificate ) to silent his
critics, Section 39 of the Jamaica Constitution shows who can Qualify to sit in the parliament,
And that includes every Commonwealth Citizen, Who want to enter parliament, must have
lived in the Country for no less than 12 months before an election or nomination,
So if section 39 is taken by itself, it has always been thought that a person is in contravention
if their citizenship is in a Non-Commonwealth country, or a country not part of the Common-
Wealth, And Jamaicans who had American citizenships were taken to court by the PNP's in
2007, saying that They Should not be in The Parliament, because they were disqualified by
The Constitution, And the Courts sided with them back then, Section 40 says if you were born
in Jamaica, and you went to another Commonwealth Country, and apply for citizenship in that
Commonwealth country, Then return to Jamaica and want to be elected, you first have to renounce
That Canadian or British Citizenship before you can become eligible.
Because you would have been disqualified under section 40 of the constitution, Section 40.2, says,
No person shall be qualified to be appointed As a Senator or elected as a member of the House of
Representatives, Who by virtue of his/her own act ( action )under any acknowledgement of Allegiance,
Obedience, Or adherence to a foreign Power or State, hold or is acting in any public office, Again,
it is plainly written in our Constitution, anyone who pledge allegiance to another power, even if that
Power is a Commonwealth Country, That person have disqualified himself/herself from holding
Any public office, most of us only look at section 39, and forget that section 39 is subject to section 40,
British passports are normally valid for ten years, So if Mark Golding's father got him one as a child, he
must have been renewing it periodically, And that act of renewing his British passport, according to
Jamaica's constitution 40.2, disqualify him from holding any public office. Mark Golding's first Jamaican
Passport was given to him when he was 46 or 47 years old, And that was a Jamaican diplomatic passport.
Before, he had always travel on his British passport, So Mark is not telling the truth here, furthermore,
As a British citizen he would not need to apply for a visa to travel to the United States or to the United
Kingdom, I suggest that people also read section 41.( 1 B ) of the Constitution, it can be down loaded
Online, it shows That Mark Golding is sitting in public office illegally since 2007, And I can see this issue
Ending up in the Supreme Court.
Mark Golding used the terminology, one foot in, and one foot out, to describe Andrew Holness's phase
withdrawal from the British Crown, But it has come back to haunt him, because Andrew Holness has no
    problem with his citizenship.

There’s nothing wrong with dual citizenship for the purposes of travel, seeking healthcare, owning property, voting, etc. but if you’re going to *lead* a country, you shouldn’t have one foot in one foot out.
If you mash up the country, you’re not going to want to live with those conditions. You’re going to get on the next available flight to London or wherever your passport will allow you to enter. It’s the same reason Ted Cruz (when he was a presidential candidate) was asked to renounce his Canadian citizenship. A leader of the country is charged with its national interests, and dual allegiance compromises that. This Commonwealth argument is nonsense.
Jamaicans cannot even enter the UK for tourism without applying for a visa. The same with Canada and Australia.
Why is there such favoritism towards these Commonwealth nations when that favor is not reciprocated?
    SMH.
