Seriously. Don't know how they fell under my radar all these years. Been listening to Nu Metal since the beginning and only recently found out about these guys. They're fucking amazing! \,,/
def one of the most. I've seen them live numerous times and they never disappoint. There's more depth to their lyrics than they get credit for. Lead guitar is a great writer and singer in his own right (don't know if the guy playing lead in this video is the original lead guitar but I'm talking about the album lead guitar from years back). Great band, great frontman.
Sevendust is so badass...sure they haven't gotten the commercial success that other bands from that time have, but they've been consistently making incredible music since before I was born ('98). SO much talent in one band.
It's probably because they got screwed over hard in the early 2000s when this music was still big. They couldn't afford to even tour for awhile to get their name out there more.
they dont fit the idols that certain people want a certain culture to follow... that's why i've showed this band to multiple of my friends that never heard of them that love rap. they havent been able to miss a show since they listened. they are POCs first they they said "why were we never promoted this over gangster rap"
The two most underrated bands on the scene were Chevelle and Sevendust, they always released excellent albums and respected their essence and therefore their audience, but for my part they always had my appreciation and support, I always bought albums from both, speaking here as a fan of Brazil .
I'm pretty young and didn't necessarily grow up with them so I don't have the nostalgia factor that some of you guys may have, but they are for sure the most underrated band out there. I love them so much, they're in my top 5 of all time!
Cool that they still play “Black” live… I saw them at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ 20 yrs ago… and they kicked ass. Lajon is a great vocalist and Morgan is an amazing drummer!
They open it differently than they did 20 years ago. Clint used to play the intro on guitar with that chop/delay effect and he would pan it between the left and right channels on the PA. Now they do the prerecorded intro and have the backing track during the song they didn't do that when I used to see them in early 2000s.
Saw them live twice and a meet and greet, they are so down to earth and humble, no arrogance with their fans, took time to talk and take pictures 👍🏽👍🏽😊
There drummer is so fucking good Just carried the band beyond measure That clip at 38:07 where he’s enjoying himself and just being a showman and clinical at the same time on the kit is insane. They always say find a job you love. This guy defines that theory
So back in 1999 there was a young impressionable teen who went to a concert known as the “bone crushers ball” little did he know his life would change forever. 7D headlined that night creating a fan for life. Every show is 100% amazing and 100% from the band’s doing. A rare breed.
I have, sorta, but they still sounded really good for playing a venue that had jacked up sound. Going to see them at the same venue in a few weeks. Hopefully they fired the sound guy.
Bro this entire generation of concert goers have no idea how to party like we did in the 90s at a concert. They don't jump, crowd surf, dirt flying, none of it. We tore it up every concert. Now I'm old lol but I took my daughter to a concert while she sat and I swung my hair around danced and shouted it out lol. Seriously. 😅
@@membersofjesusfamilyThey most definitely do not and will never get it. It was an awesome time to be alive. I remember when Sevendust played a show at an old janky ass theater in 2002 during their Animosity tour (I saw them 4 times on that tour) and I guess they didn't realize the floor had actual theater seats bolted to the floor when they booked it. So we ripped the seats off the floor and passed them to the front (yea I know criminal damage to property blah blah I was 20 🤷). There's a bootleg video of that show taken from the projector booth posted on TH-cam. You can see the chairs 🤣
Sevendust……..💯. I’ve been a huge fan for a long time. I even have the lyrics to Live Again tattooed on my body. They are definitely taking up a huge space on my soundtrack to my personal life. Great video thanks

There humbled brotherhood in standing against the Greed filled world whose labels would want nothing more than to destroy successful bands to take every last cent they can get over building long term investments with bands these days or really ever come to think of it. I remember waiting 2 hrs in the rain in a line with about 500-600 people their lead guitar just left and they replaced him with Sonny Mayo. It was at Virgin Megastore album signing and they were so down to earth checking football scores. These guys were probably the most relatable people.
