Do you know if it will work also if, with my lock, the rest position of the key is horizontal?

i got a question, since the key must to always stay n the cylinder, so the door can not be opened from outside by the key, because when there's key on the door from one side the key can not open it , at least our door is like this

You have to test your door first. Newer doors are built so that you can still open it from the outside with a key, even if there is a key stuck in the other side.

Do you not have to lift the handle to engage the locking mechanism?

I think the solution to this is changing the cylinder of your lock, you have to install one with “emergency” function, in Germany it’s called Not- und Gefahrenfunktion. Changing the cylinder is a rather simple operation and not so expensive, you can find ton of videos about that, and if I managed everyone can manage 😅 Just first unmount your current cylinder, take the measure and put it back until you receive the new one

Thank you , Im planning to install this on my home too. I want to ask 2 questions:
    1. Is this the only model in Europe out there , that can fit the Euro style cylinder, are there better ones than this?
    2. I plan to get the Nuki 3 (not the pro). Do I need a bridge with that too ?

Hi Ben! There are other similar models, but I find the Nuki is a great product, from the standpoint of mechanical design, and software as well.
With the 3.0 you’ll still need the bridge, if you want a remote connection. The 3.0 Pro comes with Wi-Fi capabilities, but it’s super expensive.
      Cheers,
      Tom
