It's a drag that your dad cannot continue helping you on the build. You are both doing a great job and it is very inspiring to see your perseverance despite the circumstances. Keep up the good work!!
Bill USA I will miss your Dad.You have tobe proud of him.You both work good together I understand better safe than sorry.I will always watch keep us up to date on your Dad.Bill
Great videos. It's a shame your dad can't help at the moment. I used to work on cars for many years with my dad, and it was great fun. Lost him nearly 27 years ago and still miss working with him.
I moved to the US in 1991. It's interesting how new (to me) expressions have entered the lingo during that time such as "crack on" and "done and dusted".
Fair play to you for drilling all those spot welds without missing one. They can be a pig sometimes. Your dad was obviously spot on with the centre punch 👍. Another great video. Shame your dad can’t be there Let’s hope things get back to normal soon. Can’t wait to see the next video 👌👍👍👍👍
Hi! There’re definitely plenty spot welds in them haha! Hopefully have my Dad in the videos still, just working in the old garage on some of the parts. Thank you very much 👍👍
Good to see the progress and understand moving to the new digs with winter coming. Hope your dad can join you in time. Double thumbs up from me 😊👍👍 look forward to seeing the continued progress.
Very impressed by the skill demonstrated in this series. I have enjoyed watching the series. Good luck with the rest of the conversion. Take care Jeremy Howard Nanaimo BC CANADA
I was certainly puzzled at the beginning - couldn't figure out what you were doing. Might have guessed you were making sure everything is spot on! Glad you've got more space to work in, sorry your old man can't join you for a while. What a world it is at the moment, eh. Regards from a slightly damp and fantastically green part of Australia. Cheers boys
Hi! Yeah I was a bit slow in explaining what I was do with that sill there haha! all sorted now though. Hope to have a bit of my Dad in the videos still, just working separately in the old garage on some Mini parts. Cheers 👍👍
Give our love to your dad, we sure will miss him. He brings in so much experience to the project and you two are a great team. Regards from New Zealand.
As always, attention to detail gentlemen. Pleased for you getting more space to work in. Sorry to see your dad having to distance himself from you but it’s the right decision. Stay safe both & look forward to the next episode 👏👏👏👏.
Hi! Thank you 👍👍 yeah the extra space inside will help over the winter. I’m hoping that we’ll be able to add in a few clips of my Dad working in the old garage on some of the parts for the car.
Great video your goin to miss your dad but sure he'll be watching videos with this virus best for your dad be safe takecare you both mini looking great
Another episode showing how you want this mini to be as perfect as possible, it's a pity your dad won't be with you in the forseeable future episodes , keep safe the two of you .
Sad to hear that you’re dad cannot help with the rest of the build during this pandemic I am sure he will be in the background urging you on give him our best regards and both stay safe
Can we get dad on a video link in the new garage space please ? I'm sure he'd love to give his thumbs up whilst you're filming. Stay safe and all the best :-)
Nice update, Mini is progressing well, good to see your thinking of the neighbours, both keep safe, 👍.Hope your dad can join you soon after this latest lockdown.
Shame you've got to work apart for now, but better safe than sorry; when all this is over you can pick up again. Are we going to see some Dad-cam footage from his garage in the next videos?
What a real pain in the rear end having to alter the sills.. I really felt for you, but I spotted that Dad's school metalwork shop punch was put to good use again 😄 .. Nothing more annoying than panels that don't fit as they should !.. Certainly more room in the new location where work can carry on despite what the weather is doing. Looking forward to next weeks episode provided the government don't isolate You Tube 😷
Can’t wait to see you and your dad back on it together once the restrictions are lifted. Keep up the good work, drink plenty of tea and it’ll help the winter months pass
Hey man Kevin here from Australia. Another great video it'll be interesting in the next video to see more of the new shop . But i will miss seeing your dad maybe you could do a Skype link up with him. Anyhoo thankyou so much for sharing you stay safe and stay well and especially your dad because our mature loved ones seem to be more vulnerable to covid ✌ Peace guys
Hi! Buddy, yeah was a really shame Dad could be there for the end. Good idea with the Skype, he’s going to film a bit in his garage and we’ve a couple of ideas to be both in the vids too. Take care Cheers 👍
Hi Buddy. Your Dad I'll be a great miss on the show lol 😂 But safety first as always during these unprecedented times with coved-19 😫 I'm sure he'll be back soon pottering round and making brews 🤣 Tell your Dad he got a thumbs up 👍🏻 from me 😎 Until the next time see ya 👋
I know they say you can never have too much of a good thing .....but! That sill should only have a single row of spot welds. So l guess the sill/ floor came complete . By the time you've finished replacing all the panels you're going to have to call this mini "Trigger "😂😂😂
Got to admit, I thought you’d lost it at first - cutting off what appeared to be a good sill, only to refit it but as soon as you explained why I got it :) Hope it goes well in the new location and hope your Dad will be able to rejoin you before too long. Keep up the amazing work. Cheers
Haha! Yeah I was a bit behind in explaining what I was doing there with that sill, all sorted now though 👍👍 Thanks for that, really hope we can be back work together soon. Cheers 👍👍
I just purchased Fertan on your recommendation and see you appear to be using the white Kurust type rust converter. What’s the reason? I tried the Fertan although I didn’t wash off the rust dust once dried but it looks like rust has taken hold. It’s only been in there for two weeks. I’ve since purchased Frost Metal Prep as it is clear and leaves a coating of Zinc Phosphate on the surface to stop rust. Shame about your dad being unable to help but we are in strange times just now. Hope you all stay safe through this.👍
UPbuild ah, my mistake. Been watching so many rebuilds on here since I started my Mini resto I though it was you. Always used Kurust myself on all my repairs until now.
