I see the 4k version. I'll buy it and see if they fixed anything and if it's better. Don't care about the 4K just want better sound quality and that new high impact glass. We shall see.
yes i agree about the audio@@2crakd but it's also a sony sensor now, imx415 instead of the non-descript 1/2.9” this version has. i imagine the image is going to be slightly nicer. still no stabilization. they claim much lower field of view for this, 138° vs 155° diagonal on a 16:9 aspect ratio, although i'm not sure the 155° was ever accurate? gopro claims around 120-140 for their cameras and this is clearly more narrow. either way this should still be about 14 or 16 mm fullframe equivalent wide angle stuff. pity it doesn't have natural density filters. those can make even cheap stuff look decent if there's tons of light otherwise.
The new versions are better. The old ones carcked and broke on the first shot. But Runcam sent me the newer versions (thanks to the warranty) and they been handling impacts and bumps pretty well.
hi dude i just got this camera did you can any issues with it not recording? im thinking maybe i need to try another SD card iv formated it etc it reads its there with the app and that just wont record...
Yeah it's possibly the SD card. It's not compatible with certain types in my experience. I use the PNY and Linkmore brand and those work well. But had issues with the Gigastone brand.
@@2awarrior yeah I have all U3 cards, some brands just don't format for some odd reason. Could be a software flaw in the RunCam Helmet Cam, pretty sure as they manufacture more over time, those issues will be ironed out. Or they may offer software updates on the website.
@@2crakd yea it didn't work with the first Samsung Pro u3 card but I thought I'd try another one on amazon prime day and thankfully that arrive and it works so happy days plus the old one iv just put into my phone as extra storage so silver linings and all that
there's a new version coming out tomorrow
I'll check it out and probably upgrade mines

The manual says to use a u3 card

@@liam1666 awesome 😎
Is the recording non-stop while the camera is recording or is it cut off for a few minutes?
It's recorded in 15-20 min segments
@@2crakd thanks
Hey question.
how did you achieve good video quality
I recorded a few videos and it was bad.
Messed around with the settings a bit, I'll have to open the app see which ones, kinda forgot lol
I too am needing advice on settings, my picture is very orange.
