You were so lucky that crash wasn't in ETS2. That would have been a six figure repair bill! I had a couple of nasty incidents catching barriers I thought I'd clear. Painful....
Oh my, yes, that would have been so expensive in ETS2, for sure. :)
Grate truck
Ha, for sure, especially after I did 72% damage to it. :)
I think you're normally a good driver so I feel okay saying that I think this video has to be your worst half hour of driving ever 😂 Right from the beginning too! It makes me feel a little bit better about the way I drive in this game...
Edit: It just keeps getting worse! I'm going to list out all the incidents
Red light violation - Before video even started
Damage from cone - 2:10
Costly missed turn - 2:20
Drifted a corner - 18:01
Smack into a truck - 19:27
The BIG crash - 19:57
(My personal favorite) Started pushing a white car for miles down the road without even noticing - 22:04
Finally lost the white car you were pushing, then bumped it again (Still didn't notice) - 22:55
Blatant red light - 23:41
Trailer caught on the fence - 24:33
Another crash which was cut off - 28:22
And this is NOT counting your multiple highway U-turns! I think it's funny that this video came right after one of your MOST impressive driving performance at the quarry 😁
Haha! I don't recall this episode being that bad at the time, but this is pretty hilarious. I'll have to rewatch this one. There were definitely episodes in Mexico where things went sideways, but seeing them listed up like that is pretty funny. Thanks for putting that together. :)
That was fun, never a dull moment. I watched the crash back and with my sad eyesight difficult to see those yellow poles, at least the insurance bailed you out.
Defo head for the Caribbean, you could watch some cricket and dig out all the old jokes "My wife's gone to the West Indies" "Jamaica?" "No, she went of her own accord"
Great fun.
Ouch! Dad joke pain! Haha! I'm so telling that on the channel. :) And yeah, I never saw those poles until the truck was sideways. :)
I love watching your videos.
Thanks, Robert! :)
Adieos Mexico it was a blast and loads of fun! Looking fwd to the next adventures and reackon heading to the East Coast could be the way with a slight detour to the Carribean just to see what its like. I hate the bollards lol they really are killers as you found out ouch!
Yeah, I didn't even notice them sitting there, the yellow blended right in with the center stripe. And who makes bollards so hard? That's just ... broken. :)
Mexico has been so much fun, but looking forward to the future plans. I think it might be fun to do at least one delivery to a Caribbean island - just to see what it looks like.
Those bollards absolutely destroyed you. I had one of those a in my last drive where I clipped a sign coming off a roundabout and it caused the truck to roll. Seemed a little unrealistic!
Yeah, those pylons must be made of solid titanium and be drilled 10 feet into the ground! Just a touch unrealistic, yes. :)
Best scenario: go as far east in the Caribbean as you can; then head to Alaska. It would be awesome if the delivery were straight through (island to Alaska)
Yeah, I was thinking the same sort of thing, although I think it'd be unlikely to find one job that goes that far. Maybe though?
Don't feel too bad, I took a long delivery and it was raining, and toward the end I was zoned out and didn't see traffic stop... I caused a 5 car pile up when I went into the rear end of the back car doing like 60...LOL.
If my estimation of the timing is correct we should see Nevada within the next 30 days or so. So you may be back to the other save quicker than you think. Blessings
That 72% damage was the second worst accident I've had in either game. I'd not expect those pylons to be so static, lol. And that sounds like you had a pretty spectacular crash as well! Stuff happens. :)
Good news about Nebraska (that's what you meant, right?). March would be perfect. :)
LOL yes Nebraska. It was late and I was tired, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. 🤣@@ZillaBlitzPC
I have tons of excuses ready to go if you ever need other ones. :)
You and Custard really having problems with lane seperation objects😀. Caribbian sounds cool if you will decide to do it.
I guess your truck has 120ish gallon tank. That is quite standard in Finland. I think i have about that size in mine. No need to have bigger when fuel stations are plenty.
Suggestion: if you wanna challenge yourself try Scania Truck Driving simulator. More of a challenge based rather than freeroam based game. Looks like it is still in Steam priced as 10 good ol' murican money.
Oh, I've not heard of that one yet, sounds interesting. I'll take a look, thanks!
The music starts two hours before the delivery deadline
Ah, good to know, thanks!
Mexico actually in real life have a maxium speed limit of 80kmh or 50mph for trucks
Ah, good to know, thanks! I'm glad we don't have to drive that slowly in the game. :)
Would it have been faster to disconnect the load, go repair the truck and then come back?
I wondered about that, but it would have been three times the distance. So I don't think so?
Well, 70 MPH into those pylons--think the idea is you would take them out, not that you would be destroyed! ;-p (They would wake you up for sure! ;-p)
EDIT: You were saying you wanted a new truck--hope you just buy one instead of repairing it. ;-p (Edit II: oh yeah, you need cash to buy a new truck...;-p)
Yeah, that was a bit surprising. Like you mention, I'd think you'd just plow through those pylons, not bounce off them. :)
Seeing that car stalled in the wrong lane... I just laughed and said "I love Reforma." Haha.
It is just so random at times, which makes it incredibly awesome. :)
A heads up about the Coast to Coast areas: A lot of them tend to be a bit barebones. The mod is really intended to be an extender for other mods to build off of and enhance (like Project Michigan and Project Mid-Atlantic). So don't expect Reforma quality there haha. My home state (New York) is PARTICULARLY egregious with its lack of... anything. Haha. Though if you do ever want to go to Michigan, add Project Michigan before you do. The mapper of that mod is trying to make it closer to SCS/Reforma quality.
Also RIGHT as I typed this, you had that massive 72% damage crash. Damn... That was one sturdy... Pylon? Thank you SCS for putting insurance in ATS.
Yes, I've heard that about C2C, that's it's pretty barren. I'm kind of curious what barren means, but I'm guessing we'll find out. :)
And yeah, what the heck is up with those pylons? I never ever saw them, but shouldn't they just break off, not destroy the entire truck? :)
I just did a drive from Fairbanks to Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay yesterday. The Dalton and the southernmost area near Homer are the best parts of the Alaska Map. The Dalton is a very wild drive. Also you should get a garage in Fairbanks. There's a TON of companies there. Add that to the to do list for the Alaska trip haha. Also make sure you hit up Vancouver when you get to ProMods. Really cool area and VERY accurate to life. To the point where someone once commented on a video that they recognized the exact Ikea outside the city haha.
The game offered me a 5,800 mile drive from Prudhoe Bay to Mexico on the way back, but it wasn't paying enough for me to deal with that length haha.
Interesting, thanks! And yeah, I had a job offer from Mexico to Key West but it was for one of those tiny trailers that don't pay well at all. :)
That one section at the far end of the Caribbean mod that doesn't have any connections to it is an unfinished area that they accidentally made visible in the last version. It's not intended to be driveable yet, so you can safely ignore it. I'd love to see a few jobs in the Caribbean when you're over there. It's a lot of ferries and not a ton of roads, so you can probably get a few drives done in a couple videos and see a good chunk of it.
Ah, okay, thanks for the info on that area, good to know. And yeah, it does look like mostly ferries, so an episode or two might be nice to do while we're down there. I might even be tempted to start the Alaska trip from down in the south of that, but Key West probably has more appeal.
Commenting early today haha.
Ha! You're in first! :)
