3:45 I found really help me just eliminate any guide hand interface when releasing. Shot got much more consistent which allows me to drive much easier.
Thank you so much bro
thanks coach.i am a pretty good ball handler now and I owe it u
Love to hear that man! This one will help with your shooting!
This video is litrally all I needed
Thx coach! Greatly appreciated as always!💯😁
Thanks Coach for the tips. Surely my Thumb flicks change my shots.
Thanks coach
No problem man!
Love your videos and drills. Have you ever done a video on throwing alley oops? Thanks!
Thank you man I don’t use thumb flick but ik a lot of players use it and a lot of nba players too, finally someone who knows
nothing wrong with thumb flick
Thanks I was have a huge problem wit the thumb flick now I have sum things I gotta try
Yeh I’ve had some serious thunbflicking issues. It happened when I hit my growth spurt. My hand got bigger and my arms got longer.
same
Didn't know you were left handed. Same here!
I did that guide hand on top of the ball trick because my left thumb fingernail bleeds inside if my guide hand is on the side of the ball, because i do so much flick. Thx for the tip!
What is the best handle workout video that you have? I already did the handles geek challenge twice and now I need something that put me in the next level.
Greetings from Uruguay!
Very helpful
Love hearing that man! Thanks for tuning in 😀
Very good video coach
Can you have a tutorial how to do streetball moves on defenders
I been watching you since 2019
Came to TH-cam to see if I could fix my thumb flick, this really helped, thanks.
Does high arc extends the range?
Typically yes, the biggest thing it will help with is shot consistency though
Ask Dirk
this video is what i need thanks
Im trynna get a consistent jumpshot, but due to my busy schedule i can only play twice a week and every time i start playing after a week, i just like forget my old jumpshot and it becomes all funky. Any way to fix it?
Gotta put in the time my friend.
Use the palm of the guide hand only until right before you release the ball. Point fingers (guide hand) straight up throughout the process.
Thank you thank you
Thanks coach and im a left hand shooterntoo
Idk how long to hold my guide hand on the ball and it feels weird to me the concept of just using one arm to shoot. When I video record myself shooting it looks like I have a "push shot," or that I'm using both of my hands to shoot. I was absolutely baffled when I found out I actually looked like that bc the way I was shooting felt so natural to me. I can't stand the way it looks though.
thanks a lot Coach i shoot a lot better now
thank u!
very useful
Coach, i dont have a problem with my guide hand, as long as im on the close to middle range. But on the 3pt line, and i keep the guide hand steady, i get airballs. Could i get a little advice?
Shattered Heavens a lot of people also use a thumb flick for range so try that
Coach, my question is every time i shoot a ball with a thumb flick, it goes in but after my shot and do it again. I failed (sorry for my grammar I'm a Korean)
My daughters guide hand comes off the ball way to early any drills to help ?
Finnaly normal guide hand explanation
Yes that's helps me a lot because I always flick my thumb when shooting 😂 😎 but now I'm become sharp shooters now thanks are you professional player
Coach, can you breakdown what exercise to improve basket ball shooting range?
its all about your power and legs. Workout and get stronger. When is started off i warmed up by shooting at a specific part of the backboard (not even the rim!). Yea it looks awkward and weird but it helped me shoot from the 3pt line to now 5ft away from the 3pt line
I don't even want to think about the guide hand when I shoot. The problem is though that I have a natural knuckleball shot. The even bigger issue is that in order for me to fix the knuckleball issue, I unfortunately HAVE NO CHOICE but to focus on my guide hand in some shape or form. This sucks bc I'm a very natural person and I don't like to do anything that feels unnatural to me. By having to bring these two things together somehow is seemingly an impossible nightmare. How is this possible when these two things are conflicting with each other though?
(Im a lefty as well) and i have this problem where my guide hand drops down or flings back when i shoot and it makes my jump shot ugly and doesnt help my shooting at all. What do i do?
shout out PLSSS JED MERCADO!!!!! I LUV UR VIDS
Thanks for tuning in man!
@@GetHandles make more vids so many people will learn how to play bball
So when I shoot I try and keep my guide hand straight. But when I do I don’t have enough strength in my rust to shoot far. (Atleast 5 feet) but when I shoot regular my guide hand turns left and throws my shot off. But that’s what helps me shoot further. Pls help me and explain how to keep my hand straight.
You have to practice and master close range first
Ik how to use my guide hand coach but thanks
Should your Guide hand cross Your shooting arm when You shoot why?
His shot isn’t great, I think he doesn’t use his middle finger to shoot. His pinky tends to flair up.
I am really good in the paint but I can’t shoot😐
This one should help with this a ton. A lot of inconsistent shooters have guide hand issues.
Get Handles Basketball ok I will work on my jumpshot
Man i dont get it. I was hitting deep 3s (24-26 ft) on a downhill but now my right hand (guide hand) is flicking too
Labyou bro
1:26 Voice crack
I’m a decent shooter but I notice sometimes when I shoot my guide hand flicks down
same
Bro can you help me bc I am small
Got tons of videos to help you on my channel. Moves for short players, how to finish over taller defenders, etc. Check out my videos, they're here to help!
Sadly not first😂needed this because I wasn’t sure if I shoot have thumb flick because naturally I do
These tips are perfect for you then. I cover all types of guide hand shooters!
People say i shoot with one hand but i use my guide hand idk
Why can you shoot high please respond when I shot 😂 it's always miss
So your guide hand should be lower than your shot hand when you release.
I'm practicing hand posiion with a helmet cuz I don't have a basketball....sad life
