I ADORED this Alicia!!!!! I am doing my quad focus tutorials and learning the beauty of the quads I have😍😍😍😍 I do agree about the pan sizes and it seems like the brand is steering away from its core of what made it what it was when it started 😭😭😭😭👏 I do hope that the brand doesn't do what Urban DeCay did with the Naked palettes!!!! The first few Naked palettes had 1.2 g x 12, when I got the Naked Wild Wild West one, it had 0.8 g x 12😭😭😭 And a single eyeshadow from Urban DeCay have 1.5g worth of product, I hope Pat McGrath doesn't keep the big size pans but make the depth of it smaller to trick us consumers that it's still "big"🤦😭😭😭😭🤦 I do feel like everyone is truly keeping an eye on the brand even more than before👏👏
Agree with you 1000%. The Industrial Palettes make me want to play and no other palette makes me feel that way. All so algorithmic as to how eyeshadow has to be applied.
I’m with you on momma. I have all her palettes from the 6 pan in the kit to the upcoming 11. She tries to catch our backs in the holiday palettes. The Bridgerton palettes had special shades. She mixes it up where she can. It is definitely a business. If the quality drops off then is the time to reconsider ❤🎉
The quality of the formulas hasn’t suffered from her shift in direction yet, but is it unfair to argue that because the packaging was downgraded a while ago (sticker gate, paper packaging with nicked corners, smaller pan sizes, generic components for liquid shadows or shadow pods) that therefore the overall quality of the products has already dropped a bit? 🙈
I loooove the aesthetic and her use of unique textures and finishes but I can't splurge on eye candy right now. ☹️ I'm excited to watch you play with it and I am happy to have the first release. It's sooo good 😍

I feel like one is safe and the other is driving the artistic sensibility in makeup. Mother's brand has grown to such far reaches that it doesn't have the ability to pivot as before.
I cannot relate to the fear of sparkles! I don't usually rely on matte eyeshadow to build a look, in fact I always prefer all shimmer palettes if I'm gonna buy a new one, so this new Isamaya's palette would be a huge yes if I could afford it!

The thing I’ve found with duochromes and shimmers is that they don’t get muddy when you layer and push the boundaries with a lot of colors. Mattes aren’t as forgiving. I will be picking this up!
Agreed! The duo chromes in here are lightweight, and easily could be layered. With mattes you have to be more strategic, and sometimes I just want to LET LOOSE 🤣
So glad you liked this one. One of the first palettes in soo long where I bought it almost immediately upon release. ...pictures don't even do these colors justice! When I opened it I actually gasped!!! It got me more excited about eye makeup than I have been in a long time!!! I think the formulas are better than the first industrial and to anybody on the fence - this one is worth it!

Midnight Sun supremacy! It is my only Pat McGrath palette and I am SO glad it’s the color story I chose. I love that I can take it in different directions. The first 4 shades of the Isamaya palette actually remind me of Midnight Sun. 2.0 seems like a great option for make up enthusiasts who want to have special shades without diving into indie singles which can be quite overwhelming. I’d argue the Isamaya price is actually quite competitive if we were to compare to special indie shades
Well beings you mentioned Pat... As a collector myself and I do have all of the Motherships and 4 pan quads.. I do love me some PM... I was slightly disappointed with the new one in hopes of more colors.. BUT I will still buy it and love it and never talk rude to her as I have seen many do on Instagram.. She is a legend that deserve respect not rude remarks about her color story.. AND Alicia girl.. you could smear mud on your face and it would look amazing! You are just beautiful!

I didn’t appreciate some of her prior releases advertising with all of the unnecessary phallic symbols, but that aside, her eyeshadows catch my eye ✨✨. I’m glad u brought up mama Pat actually. It’s good to know where u stand. I’m so into it, even though it’s nothing ground-breaking in terms of color story. I just need to make sure I get enough use out of it were I to buy it!! 😊

Which shade was Isamaya wearing in the promo? The blue she wore looked much more metallic & deeper than I think any of the blue shades look. To me, the palette looks like the halfway point between Industrial & her cowgirl collection. I'm so glad to see Alicia reviewing this palette. Are you teaching chemistry class with all those shade names?! 2.0 is even more so about the texture and I am here for it. I absolutely love using the two pallets together my favorite things to do with 2.0 are you similar shades in different textures to create relatively monochromatic looks.
This palette is amazing, it’s all special shades! I just don’t wear makeup like this anymore. I’d end up just occasionally swiping some on my hands for a dopamine hit, haha!

I like the colors better in this than the old one, but I dont have the money to splurge (and i didnt for the first one either). I’m all for an all metallic/sparkley eye, the girls who get it, get it. However I almost always mix palettes when I do my makeup. Maybe I will buy it sometime in the future if I can afford it 😌

I was so impressed with your review I bought both palettes. They arrived in pristine condition and my first eye look was stunning. My question is, how do I prevent creasing? I bet these shadows creased in 4-6 hours with a primer. I don't have oily eyelids and none of my other shadows have done this. HELP! Is there a primer that specially recommend with these shadows?
I use the Linda Hallberg Till The End Primer, that’s more silicone like, but maybe something more grippy like that Pat McGrath? I haven’t tried it yet, but did hear that the Rare Beauty one is similar.
I was curious about your opinion on this PMG palette…but I will be honest when I say…it’s been a dead brand for me since 2019…this Gaslight Seduction palette is not it and she has joined Charlotte in the coma section. These looks today are gorgeous…you are an amazing artist. Love yah!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I believe Pat McGrath is all about breaking boundaries, and when you look at her run way looks and you see what she makes... It's disappointing. Natasha Denona is also a big name makeup artist and she explores different color stories while staying safe. I think Pat is just trying to cater to her older audience since all the people buying her makeup are rich old people really. Anyways love the looks and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it Alicia!
I’m not really impressed. I want some mattes and less colour and cool colour. I find it too sparkly and too frosty. I can’t get inspired by the pastel colours. The case is an invitation for fingerprints. You’ve managed to make it work for you though. I noticed that you are using only a few shades at a time. It looks like the textures are improved over 1.0.

I love shimmers all over . Matts just make my lids look dry and more crepy . Finely milled shimmers actually disguise the little lines.

Natasha Denona is also a big name makeup artist and she explores different color stories while staying safe. I think Pat is just trying to cater to her older audience since all the people buying her makeup are rich old people really. I’m not really impressed. I want some mattes and less colour and cool colour. I find it too sparkly and too frosty. I can’t get inspired by the pastel colours. The case is an invitation for fingerprints. You’ve managed to make it work for you though. I noticed that you are using only a few shades at a time. It looks like the textures are improved over 1.0.
Not a fan of that packaging at all. Love the colour story of the 1st palette but I'd never buy it due to packaging.
No eyeshadow is worth over $20!
