Plus a rubber duck, plus a dog... only MM. Way to make it look easy man. After watching all your vid's during the off season I approached the slopes with much confidence. Now I crash at higher speeds. I'm pretty sore but I'll get there.
When you can see the piste bashers track ruts you know its gonna be firm, those conditions look crunchy and chopped as hell, judging by how little the edge was biting. Great riding, showing everyone how its done!
Awesome run. Was wondering if you could do a side by side with some camera footage looking behind you? Woud like to see the lines your board makes during different turns and get a better idea on the types of turns you`re making especially on the steep runs. Thanks for the great content.
No idea why they were hiking out, maybe because that bit wasn't pisted. As long as they were on the run I counted them, if they were sat on a picnic bench I didn't 😂
That long flat section that begins at around 10 mins in would be the stuff of nightmares for me. I still haven't conquered those. That would be a long walk for me :(
if you were running through the queue at the start, board in hands, you would have passed 100 skiers more☝️ your wax and board preparation was exceptional. Had this only once in my life overtaking all on flat cat track. Share the waxing wisdom with us pls. The Nidecker double spoon does probably also a good job in the flat sections.
It probably took you so much time to edit that counter haha. Nothing sounds better than a snowboard going trough some snow, can't wait for my trip to start.
Thats scary man. How the hell do you even know where to go on these paths? Goodjob too, had my first day on the slopes and re-watching your videos for a refresher definitely helped!
I was laughing my head off before you even got out of the tunnel man 😂😂😂. Great to see some full run vids this year 👌 did you see that Arthur Longo has got an invite to natural selection btw?! 🤙 that comp is so sick. This years line up is absolutely insane.
0:21 Trying to reenact a cartoon scene from Roadrunner or something. He is gonna float in the air and the rest of the mountain is going to fall to the abyss.
Out of interest What made you choose Alp d'huez as a place to base yourself? Being so far south with a lot of south facing slopes, it must create a lot of freeze thaw conditions and limited powder days. This run looks great fun though.
That initial drop the silver skier acting like it's a double black diamond braking hard on left and right ski. C'mon dude you can definitely pizza down that easily.
Mannn I just want to go snowboarding, I’ve never been before (except in my back yard/pitiful little baby hill) and I want to go badly and learn to snowboard
You can learn easily and relatively cheaply at any indoor snow zone. Most do a one day thing, was enough for me and I was hooked for life! Also better prepared you for the mountains,
Amazing riding! Could you do a tutorial on these skidded turns you are doing? I can only find carving tutorials on YT and I don't find them useful on most of the times when snowboarding on busy resorts. Thx!
Love doing this Run not so much how long it takes to get up there.. Why was there people walking backup at the begining ??? Surprised you didnt put your 360 cam on.. Great run... although it sound Gnarley in some places
1:56 now thats satisfaction when that steep top part of the run is smooth flat without any moguls and bumps what's happening at 2:25 like they all took a wrong turn
Hi Malcom, as a new snowboarder trying to get used to speed, what are you using to track yours? I know theres phone apps but I always forget to start them before runs
This is Great. I think it would have been even better and more informative if you had talked about snow conditions and different types of turns that you used for different snow/slope conditions. Similar to your previous videos that you would talk during snowboarding.
Hi, will it be possible to make a more comprehensive vid about DADA. I mean presses, ollies, fast riding anything that will give us more info about the board. Thank you
You are professor mate congrats i was there before 2 years ago and it is fantastic place for freeride snowboarding. Who is your favorite place in France?
at 13:56 i thought i was beginning to have a stroke... little did i know that i was merely the compression making it look like a dahli painting in movement
Is that a GoPro sticker for the speed / altitude? I can't find that on my app (and they've deprecated the Windows software for some reason), or do you use some other software to display the metrics? Great video BTW :)
What is your favorite board for these types of conditions? I just recently got into snowboarding, been about 6 times and trying to teach myself everything watching your videos. I bought a Lib Tech T.Rice Pro, but wondering what would be potentially better in similar conditions.
T Rice pro is a solid all rounder that would work well here. I generally prefer a softer board for messing around on. You can still ride them fast but they can be playful too. But yeah if you just want to ride fast a stiff board is better. But I'm not really riding with great technique here, just kind of going quick to keep the video shorter!
@@malcolmmoore thank you for the information! Good to hear and makes me feel more confident in my purchase. You're still doing amazing for just trying to pass as many people as possible haha. Just finally got my S's down today and understanding the weight transfer from front to back. Awesome once it clicks.
Expectation: OVERCOME 200 SKIERS reality: passing by 200 skiers those who are standing there without moving should not count man... (I'm not saying that what you do isn't incredible or that I'm capable of doing it, because no. But let's face it, reading that you overcome them and then seeing that you only passed them (some) broke my little heart. I wanted pure emotion.)
This is awesome Malcom haha. How'd you link up the speedo to the video? And I assume you manually counted the skiers?? Definitely something fun to do when its hardpack conditions lol
Always love your videos, but this time you kinda' cheated. First of all, as someone else said, you counted snowboarders...Second, you counted people that were just staying still or going the other way(that really shouldn't count as passing them...I mean technically you passed them in the sense that you went by them, but when someone sees the title "Overtake 200 skiers", he/she expects you to count only the ones that you overtake, not the ones standing still)...But aside from that, you are usually a delight to watch and we always learn a lot from you!!
Love the channel. Is there a website ir message board to contact you on? Just wanted to give a little feedback on how your videos have helped me learn to snowboard.
Thanks Jason, I have a website where I advertise myself for snowboard lessons, but I try to see most of my comments here anyways! You can find all my stuff in the video descriptions 👌

I snowboard alot maybe I'm just one off but I find I can carve even on ice (not always ofc) so idk why he wasnt on his edges more
I just passed twenty cars, by foot! Of course they were standing still, like most of the skiers in this video… 🤦🏻
Uh
Ok
some were even walking towards him like they almost knew he was trying to get 200
some of them not even skiers lol XD what a silly title
Tourists
The hardest part of snowboarding the Sarenne is making sure you have enough speed to avoid the long walk of shame in the bottom third!!
100%!
that bit looks just like Boulevard Cumin between Val Thorens and Les Menuires which always ends up with me walking the last 500m
@@apaleslimghostlearn from Malcolm and get a Indy 😂
That was an amazing run, MM. Your speed, control, and dodging around those skiers was fun to watch. Thanks for sharing and subbed!

Race me if you are up to it 🙂
Impressive legs! The run was so long I was expecting to end on the sea :) 2km height, probably 15km long.
Oh.. hearing the sound of the snow crunching beneath their boots... pure bliss
Best part of the video was the dude fumbling with his flow bindings at the top.
Haha I noticed that, those things are annoying I had a pair, it doesn't make it any faster/easier
Haha I didn't notice that at first
I love the part where you count "overtaking" the skiers hiking uphill. You really showed them!!

Hey Peter sorry I missed this one first time around! No waxing secrets here, that's straight out of the factory wrap, probably only it's third run!
Nice, looked so rammed at the top! You make it look so easy! 😄 Was way choppier and icy in the top half when I did it.😒
I love these kinda vids u do, please keep doing them it helps with my mental health no joke!
Thanks Henry 🤩
Around 14.09 where you take shots at the skier had me dead 😂

12:09 Skier 159 😂😂
i was thinking how painful that part would be if you lost momentum
What was he trying to do?? 😠
Cat tracks are dangerous and boring for snowboarders. 😅
It would have been funnier if you hadn't counted the snowboarders. Nonetheless, great video!
I think it's funny cause he counted the snowboarders 😂
Those count as skiiers for fluffing about
