user will use variable names with variable length, I will send name in array to exrernal EEprom with other data. Each data type has stable locaton (address) in EEprom to write and read
Can we convert from text to number? Assume I have a text box having "123" and I want to display it on a number tool. I tried cov to.txt, n0.val,0 but it doesn't get compiled and gives error message invalid....
It is the default setting when you add the progress bar. You can change the initial value to start wherever you want. I left it at the default level because I was not focusing on the progress bar. Just using it to show functionality. Do you think a video dedicated to the progress bar would be helpful?
@@CheapControls Just starting to learn about the Nextion displays and I'm having trouble finding any helpful tutorials (in English) that helps me. I like the way you take the time to explain at a speed that others can follow along with. As for a video...if you had time it would help as there's not much out there like I said. I was looking for a tutorial for making a custom boot screen using the progress bar. Thanks for the reply!
@@jonrans73 Thanks, I am not sure what you are referring too when you say boot screen. If you want to be able to interact better consider joining my cheapcontrols facebook group. I just started the group to help with questions like this. When I say I just started I mean I started it last week. I am new to facebook groups so be patient if you ask to join.
Thank you sir, your videos are so informative 👏
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching.
What about using "cov" to convert variable text length to fixed text length ?
cov Name.txt,NameT.txt,10

Sounds good!

do you have "to.txt" or t0.txt" I don't see why it wont work as long as you have a zero and not an "o"
Why does the progress bar always begin at 50?
