Hey folks! Still out on tour this week so sharing this live video from Summer Breeze festival from last month. Hope you like:) What do you wanna hear me do when I get home? Let me know in the comments/)
I'm 50 years old. I have been a headbanger since there was a such thing as heavy metal. The old Motorhead, and then Judas Priest and iron maiden. I remember Metallica being a new band on the scene. I have the old garage days tape , yes I said tape. It was really hard to find back then. I have since become a project manager and chemical and nuclear plants as well as oil refineries all over the country. But I still jam. I'll be in my office with my headphones on. I had about 20 guys working out in the shop. This was about a year or two ago. I walked out and I heard one of them listening to this awesome version of Africa. And it's already a great song by Toto. I asked him who it was and he showed me. And from then on I was hooked. Frog Leaps version of dance monkey is insane. The first time I heard it, it took me away to a place that I haven't been in many many years. I listen to it about 10 times in a row. Since then I think I've listened to every song they have played
Ha - a very relatable history to me. Africa + "evil bonus" with Leo, Rabea and Hannah is still one of my favorites. Die Antwoord covers kick ass too... Such talent - Bravo !
Singing drummers always impress me. The breath techniques and concentrating on both the beat and the vocal melody is sorcery. I really admire people like Roger Taylor and Don Henley.
I'm gonna guess the telegrams are fake because I've gotten 2 and alot of channels say if this pops up it's not me. So I'm kinda hesitant on the whole telegram thing
I used to work for Budweiser. The original singer of Eye of the tiger did the vocal parts of the old real men of genius campaign. At a convention, the narrator came on stage and the singer for Survivor with a guitar and a drummer did all the real men of genius commercials live. At the end, the stage split and the whole Clydesdale rig came through at the same time as the number 8 NASCAR right into the crowd while Survivor did Eye of the tiger. It was incredible.
You all were fantastic, one of the best concerts I've watched at SB:OA, I could absolutely not imagine how you will transport the funny spirit of your video clips to the stage! But somehow you convinced me and you were surprisingly one of the best bands.
Last week I came across a recording of Frog Leap's entire performance at Summer Breeze on the Arte concerte channel. And it was the best show in many years: sound, groove, arrangements, breakdowns, voices - the highest aesthetic pleasure. For 2 days I could not open the door. And here it is again! Thanks! Listen to your heart ending is the best!
I only write this so that you know the POWER that you transmit, THE POWER OF YOUR ART, I have wanted to tell you this since 2018, but I never did, I don't know why... That year I was diagnosed with cancer, I had surgery, and I had 6 months of chemotherapy, and when I was there, sitting in that chair, with that poison entering my veins BURNING everything alive and rotten, I ONLY LISTENED TO YOU, your songs, your voice, your magic to create all that on your own, and that gave me the strength to endure that shit, and recover until today, and for that I want to thank you! I hope you read this my BROTHER, I send you a big hug from southern Argentina.
Indianapolis would absolutely love to have you here! I absolutely love everything you do, I watch all your videos. Thank you for doing what you do, keep it up!
Leo to see you do that song in front of thousands of people is awesome. Great voice and great performance. That was the very first song I ever song before a live audience in high school. Killer job buddy... and your drummer kicked ass on his vocals too.
Damn!!! I've been following you since before like I think it was 50,000 subscribers so many years ago. It's so awesome to see you and your band-mates have been able to play at large festivals. I'm so proud and happy for you.
Holy crap these musicians are so awesome! Don't ever change Frog Leap band. You're amazing. The best part is how much fun they have. They mix together so perfectly.
Saw you last night in Garage/ Germany what a blast- the energy, the talent, the show always took me of my feets. The neck, feet, throat may hurt ..but fxck it..still bumping my head to this vid, completely forgetting I sit in the train

Huge respect to the drummer, playing some fantastic stuff while singing. Super impressive.
as a drummer, I can tell you this is very bloody difficult
@@brs2379 As a drummer, I can agree haha
I barely can thinking while playing drums.

The studio and not the live version is even BETTER

🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm 49 and a maintenance foreman at a chemical plant. I grew up on maiden metallica and priest. I just discovered this band today.
@@prestonedmonds4128 Do some binge watching, it will blow you away!

Roger Taylor is my hero 🥁👑 th-cam.com/video/xT815bSdwiY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=11lK4RUBAew0gR1p
It's weird. I have a much easier time singing while playing drums than I do while playing guitar or bass. I guess it's different for everyone.
@@jabedoben you should be proud, I've known some really good drummers who are really good singers, but they can't do both at the same time.
Drummer has some pipes!
Wait until you hear him play guitar. Truls is ridiculously good.
www.youtube.com/@TrulsMaximus
Truls is awesome!
edit: Aw heck, they're ALL awesome!
Truls has done a bunch of frog leap song vocals.
He definitely does. I love drummers that can sing. Ppl like the late Rev from avenged sevenfold to Don Henley of the eagles
Can we just give props to Truls for a minute. My boy got some pipes!!!!!
Drumming and singing is so fkng hard. Anyone doing it has my immediate praise.
On top doing it live. Fricken amazing! Rock on Truls and all
What a hell of a show!!! And ALL of the musicians there are just mindblowing!
Leo, what a great, mf monster-voice? You and the band, the musicians are fantastic entertainer. Thank you all to enjoying this. 😘
I'm gonna guess the telegrams are fake because I've gotten 2 and alot of channels say if this pops up it's not me. So I'm kinda hesitant on the whole telegram thing
Leo, sos un grande! Me encanta lo que haces. Saludos desde Uruguay
