I understand the VSS was probably limited to semi auto only for gameplay balance and to provide a reason to buy the AS, but IRL the VSS does in fact have a full auto position on its selector.
The Groza has a design only a manufacturer can love... Also, I think 9x29 has to be one of my favorite calibers. It's fun lobbing my VSS shots like I'm playing castle crashers with mimic heads.
The vintorez seems like the coolest gun I’ve never used. I have 151 hours in the radius and I’ve never justified buying it over a FN fal or in earlier versions… just waiting for a scar.
I don't know why, but in beta 9x39's trajectory is perfectly srtaight. Also it's a perfect caliber to play itr for airsofters. In base game bullet falls just like a bb.
Totally agree, the groza is an absolute abomination(it's no ppsh short), the only good thing about it is it sells for a decent amount when you find one. Another solid breakdown video.

The VSS interals are actually more of a mix of a Czech VZ.58 for the action and and AR-15 for the bolt face and 6-lug design. Really has almost no interchangeable parts with the AK
I just took out the Groza for the first time and actually loved it. Had to put the Epsos scope on it and laser dot. The only down side is that reloading can be funky at first. But when you get it down this gun is great. Especially for CQB. I have yet to get the tip of the gun hitting a wall. Also, Gernade launcher can be a tad funky to use. But so much fun.
Personally, I always did love bullpup asult rifles. Think the only front-attached magazine ARs that I like are the G36 and its variants as well as the AK-47/AKM
the groza not only looks disgusting, but FEELS disgusting. the height over bore, the pivoting angle of the grips, the general way the stock feels, all work in wonderous tandem to piss me off
While I really like the groza, i wouldn't give it a 9/10 or 10/10, it's really heavy and that granade launcher has a very different behavior to the other one(the shop one) Wich can get you in trouble (some times the nades go sideways for some reason) really cool weapon but a 7/10 at most
So my reasoning on why it would get such a high score is its probably the best gun you can get through looting. Maybe that verdict will change once I look a bit further into the fal
The VSS 'Vintorez' is in my opinion, a 10/10. It is the most accurate gun in the game with the cobra D doverail sight. The integral suppressor saves money on repairs in the long run, and 9x39 ammo is grrat armor piercing and subsonic so you don't have to sacrifice damage at all. Its an all in 1 bullet, and an all in one gun. If you haven't taken the VSS Vintorez out for a spin with the cobra D dovetail optic I beg you to try it out. It's absurdly accurate and i swear by that.
When I found one of these guns I popped of sooo hard. Bcuz in the stalker mod a gun like this is like 20,000 dollars. And you make chump change doing mission every purchase I make I feel my soul die
My personal most hated caliber lol, I don’t like solving a quadratic equation just to hit a shot at 200+ yards (I do find it nice that someone hates the groza as much as I do)
Lets be honest the Groza would be SO much better without the horrible Carry Handle Sight Also, the game mistakenly calls it and the Pernach "OC"/"OS" instead of the proper romanization of "OTs". The reason for this name and why it should be romanized "OTs" is because of how russian guns are named, and how letters like "Ц, Ш, Ж," etc. are romanized. "Ts, Sh, Zh" all have the second letter of romanization in lowercase so that the romanized word can be interpreted correctly, as the gun is not "ОС" or "ОТС" but instead "ОЦ", and on top of that, proper pronunciation would likely be "Ah-tsuh"
I remember seeing it sometimes referred to it as that in some documentation I read while researching the video but didn't really pay any mind to it. Thank you for the informative explanation

Most of its ergonomic problems can be fixed with a optic of some sort and after that its not that bad
